[X] Push for an alliance.

I'm kinda reluctant at going for this considering what's happened to Heinel but we also kinda need this at the moment as well considering well, the Council.

Without counting that the last angel is coming soon.

Actually for those more versed in EVA, should we start worrying about Kaworu dropping by soon?

We are on Zeruel, which means that going by TV order is Angel number 14 to Kaworu/Tabris's 17. However, we're also using some plot points from Rebuild of Evangelion, where Zeruel is the last Angel before things go completely off the rails and Kaworu shows up at the end of that fight. We've mostly used the TV lore for Angels so far but wafer has Options here.

The Liberation of Boazan is coming soon and it's gonna be pure unadulterated awesomeness.

I wonder if Voltes V will do its Tank Mode during the attack to bring down Zambajil's reign. That will be quite a sight to see.

Wilderness of the Philippines

Prince Heinel stares at the ground in a mixture of shock and resigned acceptance.

After a few minutes, Kenichi decides to break the silence.

"So, what are you going to do now?" Kenichi asks.

"I...I'm not sure." Heinel admits.
"My Lord, please tell me you're not considering contacting Emperor Zambajil to verify this! He would only use it as an excuse to accelerate whatever plans he has to get rid of you!" Katherine points out.

"I was wondering why he hadn't bothered to contact me or respond to my reports as of late..." Heinel muses.

"Hey, if Zambajil's trying to get rid of you, why not join forces with us?" Kenichi proposes.

"You cannot be serious!" Jangal protests.

"No...no...He has a point." Heinel interjects.

"I mean, you should probably take some time to think it over, I don't want to push you into doing something you don't want to." Kenichi says.

"No, if what you say is true-" Heinel glances at Lozaria's dagger in Professor Go's hands. "Then I have few, if any friends back on Boazan. I might as well help you...brother."

"If that is your decision, my lord, then we shall abide by it." Katherine says, bowing her head in deference to Heinel, Jangal and the guards accompanying them doing the same.

"Thank you, Katherine, Jangal." Heinel says humbly.

"Shall we go back to the base and write up a formal agreement, then?" Professor Go suggests.

"Very well. Lead the way...father." Heinel says.

NERV HQ, Tokyo

Shinji Ikari, Asuka Langley Soryu, Rei Ayanami, and Toji Suzuhara collapse onto chairs, sofas, and cushions in a breakroom reserved for the EVA pilots, ruminating on results of an exhausting meeting with Ritsuko Akagi concerning their Synch Rates.

Asuka in particular is pouting, as according to Dr. Akagi's analysis, her Synch Rate seems to have plateaued-it hasn't gotten any worse, but there also haven't been any notable improvements lately.

"Don't feel too bad about it. Maybe it's just a fluke?" Shinji tries to console Asuka.

Asuka mumbles something unintelligible, but seems to cheer up slightly at Shinji's words.

"Why the heck do we even care about this 'Synch Rate'?" Toji asks.

"The Synch Rate is a measurement of our ability to control our EVA units. If we don't pass the minimum threshold, we won't even be able to activate them." Rei explains to him.

"That, and the higher the Synch Rate, the better our EVAs can perform." Shinji adds.

Toji nods in understanding.

"So why's Asuka so upset?" He asks bluntly.

"Because I'm not getting any better at this." Asuka grumbles. "Heck, you got a better Synch Rate than me when I started piloting EVA-02."

"Hey, maybe Shinji's right, and it's just-"

Toji is interrupted by an alarm going off.

"Blood Pattern Blue detected, all personnel to combat stations! EVA pilots, report to the EVA cages!" Misato's voice comes over the PA system.

All four pilots get up and sprint down the halls to the EVA cages.

Central Dogma

"Give me a sit rep, now!" Misato demands.

"Angel detected off the coast, and it's approaching fast!" Aoba reports.

"The Solar Vanguard is sending reinforcements to aid us, although current ETA puts their arrival after the Angel gets into the city!" Hyuga says.

"Evacuation orders have been sent out, and all garrison forces are moving to defensive positions." Ibuki says.

"New contacts...they're...Boazanian Beast Fighters, and IFF says they're friendly?" Aoba says in confusion.

"Received a message from the Solar Vanguard, ma'am!" Ibuki says.

A note is printed out and handed to Misato, who hastily reads it.

"Huh. Okay, tell the garrison forces topside to stand down. Prince Heinel has agreed to an alliance with the Solar Vanguard, for some reason. Apparently these Beast Fighters have been sent over as a show of good faith." Misato says.

"Receiving another communication from the Solar Vanguard, ma'am! One of their Super Robots is already standing by in the city!" Hyuga reports.

"Good, damn good. If what the MAGI said is to be trusted, we'll need everything we can get to beat this Angel. How are the EVAs?" Misato asks.

"The pilots have reported to the cages and are starting them up. Any specific orders for their initial loadout?" Aoba says.

"Hm..." Misato purses her lips as she looks at the approaching Angel contact on the screen.

VOTE BY PLAN

What Super Robot is currently in Tokyo?

[ ] Pick ONE Super Robot from the following: Combattler V, Voltes V, Daimos, Dancouga, Dancouga Nova, Kenji's Grungust, or Noriko's Grungust

What does Misato order the EVAs to be initially armed with?

[ ] Melee loadout

[ ] Ranged loadout

[ ] By pilot preference

[ ] Write-in
-Use this if you want to micromanage the loadout of each individual EVA unit. Currently, you have EVA-00, EVA-01, EVA-02, and EVA-03.

Who is the Solar Vanguard sending as reinforcements? Mira is deploying, regardless of other selections.

[ ] Pick 25 pilots and their machines and four ships from anywhere on the allied pilot list except Gundam Seed, in addition to Mira's copilot.

Other things of note
NERV has an N2 mine in reserve.
Britannia sent over a FLEIJA warhead as a show of goodwill to NERV.

ZERUEL APPROACHES
CHOOSE WISELY

A/N: And so, the battle against the 14th Angel commences. Going to warn you now, this fight is going to be nasty. Please vote, discuss, and critique!

Hmmm... I am really tempted to s3end in Noriko because she'ss probably a good choice to speak to Asuka when everything is over.

We definitely need to send in the Getter Guys among the 25, and I would really like to see how an angel responds to the Giant of Light that is a Mazinger.

I think putting Voltes in the first wave is fun for the Beast Fighters showing up to help and in terms of stopping power to try and deal with Zeruel.

Equipping by pilot preference would also be my choice here. If we launch all four Evas at once, a combined arms assault might actually do something to this thing.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the EVAs aren't ready to launch yet. You'll be stuck with the sole Super Robot, the garrison forces, and the Boazanian Beast Fighters for the first round of combat.

Well, this is a good starting loadout, not only the N2 mine, but also Fleija and battle beasts for allied mooks.

Of course we gotta be careful with the nukes considering how destructive they are.

The Dynamic Trio of Kouji, Tetsuya and Ryoma are a must for this.

We know that the getter has an easier time piercing AT fields and if we can get Kouji and Tetsuya bonus for their machines, we can probably nuke Zeruel with the final dynamic special.

Another no brainer would be Lelouch, having access to Man of Miracles will give us an edge againts this fuck.

Wonder if the Dancouga and Nova teams would be able to pierce the AT field if wild instincs kick in at full power.

Amuro, Kamille and Judau may also be able to do something if the psycho frame and the bio sensors resonate.

Same for an awakened unicorn and banshee.

Heero and Zechs are also good due to their systems.

Hmm, thinking the Magic knights could be useful too, is there any way we can get access to combined Rayearth thinking about it? at least for the spiral flash.

Also a question, does this stack if we deploy more than one grungusts?

Superior Metal Z Circuits: All Super Robots not reliant on magic gain +2 to all attack rolls.

Even if it doesn't deploying at least one will give us a huge bonus for the brothers and the getter.

Still thinking on more people, but deploying the Nadesico may be a good move too.

Either way one of our objectives here should be making sure the 01 doesn't go berserk and noms the angel

Super Metal Z Circuits applies to allied Super Robots on an individual basis.

So, essentially every Super Robot that isn't the Magic Knights' Rune Gods gets +2 to all attack rolls unless something narratively disables them.

You'll be stuck with the sole Super Robot, the garrison forces, and the Boazanian Beast Fighters for the first round of combat.
I look forward for the appearance of these Beast Fighters and their names and capabilities against the Angel.

I'm thinking Robot Gardo in image and honor of the giant alien Space Samurai who earned Heinel's favor and gained horns as honorary Boazanian, Zorugeru the Knight with a jousting spear and Steed that can fuse together into one, Zaizarus the robot jet fighter-looking triceratops that can fly and brandish several heavy weaponry, Gakamakiri the bear looking Beast Fighter and finally Girion the one horned Boazanian warrior turned Beast Fighter who's a good and honorable man.

Still working on assignments as of now, but tentative opinion is to deploy Dancouga or Dancouga Nova as first responder, since they are among the best units we can deploy from the set available for "already present at NERV" and it gives them time to build-up Will so they can become even stronger. For co-pilot, either Nina for access to Fury or Yukari for better tanking. I'd also let the EVA pilots choose their own loadout. Opinions on who to bring are welcome.

We should probably make a list and see what we add.

1. Kouji Kabuto
2. Ryoma Nagare
3. Tetsuya Tsurugi
4. Amuro Ray
5. Kamille Bidan
6. Judau Ashta
7. Banagher Links
8. Riddhe Marcenas
9. Lelouch
10. Heero Yui
11. Zechs Merquise
12. Hyoma Aoi
13. Kenichi Go
14. Kazuya Ryuuzaki
15. Aoi Hidaka
16. Shinobu Fujiwara
17. Setsuna F. Seiei
18. Hikaru Shidou
19. Umi Ryuuzaki
20. Fuu Hououji
21. Noriko Tayaka (grungust)
22. Kenji Kusanagi (grungust)
23. Sosuke Sagara
24.
25.

So far those are my suggestions and depending on what super we choose we do get 3 more slots.

I wanna say Dancouga, if only because I don't think they've really had a big show of their own power.

On the other hand, Nova and Aoi has a bit more narrative weight, since she's actually met Shinji on a more personal level.

I'm definitely leaning towards them or Voltes for the fun of having them alongside the Boazian forces.

Noriko, as fun as she is and as much as she might be able to help emotionally in the aftermath, is still in the Grungust. And as much as I personally like the Grungust (third favorite OG mech), I think we need the Biggatons right now.

Noriko should be sent in with the main force.

Finally, I want to make fucking sure nobody gets the idea to shove an N2 mine or a FLEIJA Missile into Rei's arms. And if someone does that anyways, I vote we squish Gendo with the Gunbuster's foot.

Speaking of which, I can see Kentaro Go/La Gohl weigh the pros and cons of producing mobile suits. Such as providing the Earth Defense Force under General Oka their own mobile suit corps (be their first hand me downs in form of GMs or Zakus or any mass produced grunts from Gryps Conflict or Neo Zeon Wars), they would be no match for one Beast Fighter but can handle the UFO Fighters and provide combat support to Voltes V.

If you shot one enough with Mobilesuit scale beam weapons I am sure you could kill one of them. It would be a matter of tactics and numbers in that fight but not that hard a fight with the regular beasts.

I'm surprised Miwa didn't jump ship and throw his lot with the Council or Blue Cosmos since they do share one thing about hating anyone that isn't human, for Miwa, it's the Balmians and Blue Cosmos, it's Coordinators.

The Coordinators for all that they are result of some messed up genetic experiments and the fact that a bunch of them think they are better then regular humans because of that, are still humans with all that in tales. The Balmians are actual aliens from anther planet and the majority of that Planet's Warriors are still our enemies for now so it will be hard even with Miwa removed from a position of power to get people to be okay with more then keeping the Balmians at arms length.

True, General Oka would be the tactical forecaster to direct the Earth Defense Force mobile suit teams to ensure they make the best use of their machines even if they're hand me downs from UC.

Plus Kentaro Go/La Gohl would make improvements on the mobile suits and design new models, which Amuro Ray would get de ja vu of seeing Tem Ray in him as a meta reference of Tem Ray being an expy of the Go brothers' father and Tomino used to work on Voltes V anime as one of its producers in 1977.

Guess we'll have two liberation fronts of overthrowing Zambajil and Olban, the false usurpers of Boazan and Balmia respectively.

Ok, I got a working preliminary deployment plan. Opinions are welcome (please do not vote for it until it has been discussed).

EDIT: Since QM clarified that bringing one of the Shin Getter Robo pilots means the other two tag along due to how their machines work, I've decided to replace Getter-2 with the Throne Drei, since GN Stealth Field might be useful to have if needed.

Just noticed something-since all of the Shin Getter Robo pilots are in a single machine, you only have to include Ryoma to use Shin Getter Robo. So...you technically have an unused pilot slot.
