First impressions makes me wanna vote for Ostila and Atticus, though a fellow sword user in Elise could be interesting too.

As recompense, he woke the Spinarak clinging to his uniform and over the course of the rest of the train ride, he sewed you a decent bracelet out of Spinarak silk.

Atticus seems friendly and I like his vibe.

Not sure if the Schwarzer in the first line is intentional or not, but this is also very interesting.
Just like the Dreichels/Epstein stand-in, Elise/Rean have seemingly been combined into one being. Actually it even looks like she's more Rean then she is Elise, given the whole "In Class 7" "Has an Eastern Honedge" (Wonder what an eastern Aegislash looks like?) and "Adopted" traits.

Once again, I don't know if the name being different from the first line is intentional, feels more intentional then Elise Schwarzer since Oslo can just be a nickname of Ostia?

They played and were enthralled with Dreepy which kept them happy and distracted for a while. The Beldum, if your eyes weren't playing games on you, seemed to be grateful.

EDIT: While the Roland suggestion started out kinda lighthearted, its become much more serious now, especially now that I've remembered about Roland Vander coming to collect Emperor Dreichels from the Nord, C'mon its a fun double reference!

In all honesty, I'm placing pretty good chances on this being essentially a PC, this is also Pokémon, our classmates aren't necessarily all going to be Trails expys.

Rather then the real Dreichel's who was called the Father of the Renaissance like 200 years before the Orbal Renaissance hit aha.

The Epstein expy was a lot more recent
The Orbal Revolution here was after the Great War and Jenkins is a Great War vet. Might add a date on that blurb to make the beginning of the Orbal Revolution clearer
 
Having never played any of the Trails games, I have no clue what any of these means, which probably matches well with Mariana's current understanding. It's valkryie chronicles like?

The only Dark Blue pokeball I remember is an UltraBeastBall but that is very distinctive and much more flashy then dark blue, so any ideas?

Kinda yes kinda no.
Orbal Energy is kind of like Ragnite in a way, but its largely available internationally so there's no issues about supply, and aside from fuelling things (basically replaces 80% of energy production) it can also be used in certain ways in a "Combat Orbment" to let the user cast Arts (Spells).

Epstein was the name of the guy who revolutionized Orbal Energy and Orbal Technology into being mainstream.

And the Emperor Dreichels thing, Emperor Dreichels won a big Civil War/War of Succession and brought hundreds of years of prosperity to that land.

Thats a very basic overview of the history in Trails at least and I'm not sure how accurate it'll be to this work.

Could literally be the top half of a Great Ball or Heavy Ball, but both of those have other colours you'd probably mention (Red and Grey) so it could be a new Ball?

Something something new technology something something controling Legend might! (in the hands of a random kid for whatever reason)
 
Added three terms to Glossary of Terms: Domains, Wild Hunts and Orbal Energy

Former two are stuff she should know as being a native of the Andosin Highlands, the last one was learned this chapter. Might add another one later

Looking at Bulbapedia, a Master Ball could possibly look dark blue under the right lighting. The M could be easily hidden.
