-[X] Mini Activity: Practice with my new sword and armor, while finding anyone else who's planning to head into the forest to hunt Spirit Beasts. I'd like to make friends with the people I'll be fighting alongside soon.

-[X] Mini Activity: Look into how the Sect is organized. Resources flow into the sect, feeding it: locate where these resources come from and how they're gained. The sect makes use of those resources: see where those resources go, and how they're used. The sect provides a yield of its own: determine what resources flow out of the sect, and what their destinations are.

[X] Go to Roaring Furnace City to find a courier service, exchange a Peasant Spirit Stones into Silver Taels and send some home.

My Dearest Mother,

I hope this letter finds you in the same health and high spirits that you've always blessed our home with. As I sit down to write, I can almost smell the earthy fragrance of our village and hear the gentle rustle of leaves from the old tree near the house. How fares the family? Has Father's back pain eased with the changing seasons? Is Li Mei still chasing the neighbor's chickens, and did Uncle Zhang ever manage to fix the leaky roof on his barn? I often miss the quaint simplicity of our village life and find myself reminiscing about the countless sunsets we enjoyed together.

Life here in the Red Dew Sect has been challenging, yet I discovered an innate talent within me that caught the attention of my peers and the esteemed Elders. I've met many among the Outer Disciples, each with their own tales and dreams, and I've made a fast friend in Yong Jiahao, the son of a skilled carpenter from the Town of Five Roads. His craftsmanship is unmatched, and he's always willing to accomodate us in shaping the furnishings and furniture in our disciple quarters to our liking. His diligent work ethic and friendly demeanor have made the compound feel more like home. It's fascinating to witness the diversity of talents and backgrounds converging under the banner of the sect. The loss of the Baron and the tragic events that followed have certainly left an indelible mark on the Red Dew, but we're holding strong.

In the midst of uncertainty, I was fortunate to catch the eye of Elder Xuan, the wise and venerable Elder of Tea. His wisdom guides me through the labyrinth of cultivation, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn under his watchful eye. I can only imagine the breadth of power and knowledge at his disposal, and I caught a glimpse of one such as he in an Imperial Official who visited him and our sect. Her immense power seemed to rival her beauty. It was a sight to behold, a reminder of the vast world beyond our village, with its complexities and intrigues.

Physically, I have grown as strong as an ox, a testament to the rigorous training we undergo daily. My spirit, once untested, has now been tempered like the finest steel, and my connection to the ineffable Fate deepens with each passing day, in a series of realizations that is constantly deepening my understanding of the impermanence that surrounds us.

In the recent days, I missed a crucial lesson that would have earned me a fine weapon and armor, which would have been invaluable tools in the inevitable brushes with deaths that lurk in wait on my path. In its place, however, I gained great wisdom that I believe has positioned me on the precipice of a profound breakthrough. I am now focusing on tempering my spiritual organs, a challenging yet essential step towards further self-improvement.

I am committed to honing my skills and making our village proud. Please convey my love and regards to Father and the family. I have also enclosed just under a 1000 Silver Taels, exchanged from one of many Peasant Spirit Stones I was rewarded with, to contribute to our village and family's well-being. Please use it wisely, and know that you are always in my thoughts.

With heartfelt affection,
Wu Ji Nin

-[X] Mini Activity: Meet with some of the other disciples focused on smithing and forging to discuss techniques and potentially establish a system to craft items to sell to other disciples.

Elder Xuan tasks you four with "gathering as much information regarding Sunflower as possible, and presenting it to him."

If you ask any of his higher level disciples, they would've been asked the same task. It is a rather cryptic request, and most don't really know where to begin. Perhaps the work board would be a good way to start, provide more insight into the task? Or the dangeroud fields near the barony?

OF NOTE: You don't need to complete the task this turn (In fact, it is extremely unlikely you do so. Participating in other tasks while keeping an eye out for this may provide further insight). Your reward, if applicable, will depend on the quality of the information gathered. Other disciples that aren't those four may participate also, but your info better be good to warrant Xuan's attention, or you'll earn his displeasure.

Well, first thing first: @Arcanestomper , I know what I, as a player, know, but what does Wu Ji Nin know about Sunflower?

-[X] Take a trip to Split Log Town disguised as a mortal, and ask around about the nearby mountain. It's history, what's on or around it, local legends, maybe local spirits, or maybe even a name to put on Wuyin's map!

A soot-marked note was attached close to the board, proposing to create a Team to cooperate on this task. The first name written was of Liang Xinyue and it invited other interested in this mission to put their name.
(Basically, I want to create a team so that we can use the average of our dice as success, instead of rolling each other for their own success.)

- [X] Help mortals charcoal makers with their works, hoping to gain insights for his path or at least some useful experience.

Can I join?

By the by, Wuyin also plans to help cull the Ancient Devil Forest.

----

Wuyin looks over the scribbles and chaotic lines and hexagons that made up her crude map. It was, to be frank, a poor effort. It could barely even be called a proper map. She didn't even really know why she'd made it. She'd just... had the idea, and went out and did it. She dedicated no real time or effort studying how to make maps, or thoroughly scoured the archives to find older maps to base her own off of. And in the end, this was the result. Which left her with the question that always carried so much trouble with it. Why?

Why had she made the map? Why had she written the guide?

... The past is gone, so many said. One can neither go back to it nor repeat it.

So many things had happened here at the Sect, and so many things more would happen, as a storm raged on far above the Disciples heads, trampling them under it's raindrops. Her guides had had a simple reason ultimately. They were a means to weather the storm.

They were born of fear for the future.

So what could be said of her map?

It would do little to address the greater events unfolding at the Sect. There were many maps, better ones, newer ones, older ones, prettier ones, smarter ones, informative ones.

But this map... this map was hers. It was, in a way, a hope.

Joining the Sect had once felt like a dream. And now, it seemed the world was waking up, in all of it's vast emptiness, void of blessings or curses.

But the map... the map promised something that hadn't yet come to pass. A vast stretch of the unknown, of things waiting to be found. Of an adventure in a world larger than she had ever known.

She had plans once for such a thing. But they were gone with the wind now. Other plans took their place, even though they too could turn to dust in an instant. Leaves swaying in an autumn wind, knowing not where they came from, nor where they will go.

But perhaps... perhaps one day... she would go out into that world. Explore that mountain whose name she didn't know. Perhaps see the world from it's peak. It would never be the highest mountain in the world, not even the highest mountain in the Barony. But that's not why she wanted to see it. Simply, because no one else had.

Wuyin put her map away, folded carefully. She packed her bags lightly, and wore the old clothes she had worn when she had first joined the Sect.

A small trip then. A small trip to a town nearby the mountain. It was not a true exploration, a true adventure. But it was perhaps, the start of something more. A small hope that in the future, she would get to see the mountain herself. One day, when the storm grew softer. Even for but a moment.

Maggot feels the eyes of the Soldier glaring into his back until he signs up for this team to go into the mines.

[X] Maggot Gravedirt
- [X] Start looking for mining equipment, like shovels and picks, to prepare for the mission. "Once a gravedigger always a gravedigger, Maggot."

-[X] Train relentlessly with his copper sword with an emphasis on speed as he wants to kill his opponents as quickly as possible.

. . .
Red Dew is, as a sect, uniquely suited to recreating Las Vegas. So uniquely suited, in fact, that it might genuinely be one of the best roads we can take. Dear god.

We already have a casino as well.
