You gain the Storm Lung technique, which allows you to rapidly intake qi. This allows you to take in +1 Qi when meditating, and more importantly store +1 Qi beyond your pool.

You both gain the Pasionate Heart innate technique. This allows you to spend +1 Qi to boost your actions. So 2 instead 1.

didn't I roll last turn? I don't think I rolled high enough to get it it, so regardless of wether I was supposed to roll then I don't get it, right? or do you keep rolling to get the tech each turn?.

The Sect Master
Quest Announcement
Due to some behind the scenes politicking the elders have decided to choose the new sect master now. This means it may be a few days before the standard new turn is started.

To fill in the time I will allow everyone to do one small thing. Go to the market and haggle. Go to the casino in Roaring Furnace City and try your luck. Look in the archives for something a little more in depth than the standard setting question. Nothing will be rolled. Nothing will be spent. But you can pursue your characters interests. Or just RP with each other.

[ ] Character Name
-[ ] Mini Activity

[X] Liu Jin
-[X] Mini Activity: Have small talk with the ice spirit within my sword. Ask her for her name and how she got trapped in the sword.

[X] Gu Jin
-[X] Go to the archives and try to find any clues or information on the sword coins you have come into possession of as well as ice qi and its significance and possible uses. If there is still time afterwards look for information on raising spirit beasts and how their care differs from mortal animals.

[X] Sum of 7, 3, and 5
-[X] Mini Activity: Objectively speaking, about 56 of my fellow outer disciples think it's a good idea to follow along with what I'm doing. Find out what manner of madness has possessed them to do so. By talking and mingling politely. Perhaps I can make friends outside of business.

My guess is as follows: You look like you know, to some extent, what you are doing. You look confident. And so, they don't stop to think if they really should do the same as you. They just do it.

[X] Xìngyùn xīng
-[X] Mini Activity: Xing starts putting some of his ideas for an official dueling club open to the citizens and disciples ,The Sword of Coins, into action. Heading into the city to try and drum up interest he quickly develops an infatuation with one of the mortal woman and is swiftly rejected he will spend the most of his time after, moping around the courtyards reflecting on his misfortunes.

[X] Ding Dong
-[X] Improve his smiting skills using his equipment as an example. Like how the pieces of armor are put together, or trying to understand the material it's made from

Bai Kouta intends to work on the Remodelling of the Pagoda of Spirits if 2 other disciples would join him.
Gan Jia also intends to work the Pagoda of Spirits, but was intending to focus on helping to expand the gardens. They're down for whatever tho

[X] Gan Jia
-[X] Help out in the kitchens. You could use some practice cooking for large groups with the parties coming up, especially if you want to gain insight into the nature of feasts. Learning the recipe for Spiritual Meals just happens to be a fun bonus.

Huh... That's an interesting tidbit behind the scenes...

[X] Changjian Meinu and Meilu
-[X] Try to learn the basics of swordsmanship with their little group of friends that also attended the last lecture concerning the Red Dew School technique with the latter technique helping in the process. There should be some little time they can get some practice in before they pick up a task or mission for the sake of getting Merit Points later...

Changjian Meinu once more pondered how can her Water-aligned Spirit Root may be of use offensively despite many sayings of 'a sword surging forward like a wave of water'-or similar as she glanced at the side as her sister Changjian Meilu managed to call forth a bit of flame to coat the bladed part of her sword and even sending a small ball of fire to engulf or explode upon contact, on the training dummies on this training ground opened for the Outer Disciples, at her will courtesy of the Red Dew School technique. Utility-wise however, Meinu was able to imbue a 'cooling' effect to the armor that came along with their swords, a paired gift along with the armors to those that attended said lecture by the Elder of Archives, allowing her even to wear it without much discomfort underneath her robes even now.

She was currently resting after sparring with Putong Hua with the rest of their group, a budding clique really, of friends as the Red Dew School Technique covered a lot of basic things. Anything more specific however is perhaps best to do on another specific Technique for it. Still, it was also a good time to practice and get used to her Rainbow Eyes Technique, a proper name now being coined to it after a few inquiries amongst their group that knows a senior disciple or two, as 'fogs' and 'mists' of varying colors are made more evident as everyone in their group seemed to be enjoying gaining a lot of things even with the Merit System being introduced some time ago. That certainly made Meinu pondered even more as to what tasks she and her sister can do to pay back the Sect for the two lectures they've attended so far.

Humming to herself as she returned her new sword back to its sheath, Meinu picked up a letter that she received along with her sister Meilu a few hours ago just before they headed to this training ground and started reading it from the top again. As the impromptu 'leaders' of this small group, it seemed another group of Outer Disciple reached out to them wanting to see if they're interested in collaborating a task together, specifically of making pills and elixirs. They've yet to send back a reply but after talking with Meilu and the rest of their group, it seemed the general consensus was mostly, if not at all, a 'yes'. Granted, they would need further details on this topic of collaboration first like where should they be getting the raw materials in the first place for instance? How will work be divided and most importantly of the end result?

Shaking her head after reading it over, the youngest of the Changjian folded the letter and pocketed it before reaching out to her sword once again and once more joined the rest in practicing their basics and foundation on swordsmanship. Their group were interested in taking the Caravan Guard task as it was a good way of most of their group's skill in social interaction and an opportunity to be 'bloodied' if the opportunity arises too. For now, this short reprieve is a circumstance she very well wouldn't complain about given things the things they are doing in practice for the sake of the future.

[X] Jiang Chen
-[X] Practice with your new sword and armour, factor them into your fighting style and hone your swordsmanship with them. Finish learning the Red Dew School while you're practicing.
