Wide Boi. Just hopefully the accepted Wide Boi design is not from a Yoyodyne subsidiary, the nacelles are supposed to be made of explodium, not the deflector.

Actually, I went back and it looks like Project Sovereign isn't going to be as thick as our last capital ship. Only 25 decks to the Am-badass-ador's 30. Oh well, the decks being longer will probably make up most if not all of that.

Remember so many voters wanted the extra Torpedo launcher instead of better phaser? Here is your choice to get both just take the Prototype Dish and all will be well.

Looking at this poor misshapen battleship. I have to ask you all. Was the little bit of extra speed in exchange of making our girl look hideous worth it? We could have gotten a nice thick engineering section inctead of this but no! You wanted a little bit extra speed, why does yoyodyne make all these expensive Nacelle prototypes if we do not use them?
They make them so they can edge into the weapons business of self propelled missiles.

God I hate looking at that design from above, it looks 85% saucer by mass.

It's not so bad from the side, but hoo boy does it hurt me to look from above.
We haven't seen the nacelles and pylons, they'll surely balance out the look of the thing a bit.

Yoyodyne track record for Nacelles for your perusal.
Project Centaur(Renaissance-class Light cruiser): The new nacelles are disastrously incompatible with the existing warp core. Additional systems will need to be maintained at an equal priority to the warp core itself by the crew or specialty parts must be manufactured. (Nearly exploded while in dock during early warpfield trials. Problem solved via new Magnetic Interlocks, Core Injection system design, and new Warp Core.)

Project Ferdinand(Reliant-Class Frigate) No prototypes, so nothing did go wrong.

Project Ambassador(Ambassador-Class Heavy Cruiser): The nacelles set back production due to testing failures. Updated guidelines and system tolerances resolve the problem but require priority monitoring during operation and regular maintenance during standard use. (Did not threaten to blow up like last time. Just wrecked the nacelles, solved via rebuild and internal redesign of Nacelles.)

Project Saber(Ushaan-class Light Cruiser): No prototypes, so nothing did go wrong.

Project Intrepid(Endeavour-Class Science Ship): The warp drive operates better than expected, supporting an increased cruise speed of warp 8.6. Substantial design flaws limit the maximum safe warp speed to 9.9 instead of the predicted 9.975, half of the expected velocity. (Catastrophic warp coil rupture during speed test. Followed by violent Nacelle disassembly. Unsolvable with Technical methods. Solved via telling crew to not go faster than that speed(warp9,9))

Project Sovereign(AKA Big mishapen BB): Not yet decided.
