BatQuest: A CK2 Batman Quest

Picking Peña Dura doesn't necessarily mean that we won't meet the Demon's Head and his lovely daughter, just that we won't mean them at this formative point in Bruce Wayne's life. We still have a rogue's gallery to build, after all!

More than a few could be avoided entirely. I just realized that we when we are able to lead Wayne Enterprises there should be an opportunity to fund the experiments of a certain Victor Fries. While we will be Batman we shouldn't shy away from using our (future) position as head of the biggest company in Gotham to achieve real lasting change.

Honestly, we could explain it away as Bruce being influenced by his time amongst Peña Dura's freedom fighters to have a more populist perspective.

But conversely, what if we accidentally let villains fester or come into existence who never did in canon thanks to our different priorities?

*Shrug*

Then we'll just deal with them and see if we can help reform them if they're willing to change. It's a bit callous, but the truth of the matter is that we are going to change things no matter what, and sometimes those changes can be negative. That is fine, though, since unless we were the direct cause of someone becoming a villain, we aren't responsible for their actions.

Fuck. Somehow I missed that Pena Dura does have Zorro vibes. But yeah I can see it, very much so. I'm honestly fine with this version of Batman ending up similar to Zorro, especially considering what movie Bruce and his family went to watch on that night.

Which is, in itself, a reference to how Zorro was an inspiration for Batman as a character. So Batman having "Zorro vibes" is, in fact, bringing the character back to his roots.
