I don't entirely think this one will win, but I want to vote for it regardless, so I will.

We're not gonna let some cloud of dodgy jam destroy the world, we live there! Refusing to help isn't an option, especially seeing as we don't have a space ship to get out of dodge. That wouldn't even matter anyways since he's going after humanity as a species so he'd probably just follow us.

Convincing any of the big three to help sounds like a pain in the ass, so that'll have to wait until we have enough force and safety measures to do so. Telling the common populace sounds annoying too, but simpler. Just tell them the Space Invader's "real master" is GIYGAS and is coming back for round 2, this time he'll do it himself.

Anyways, back to the vote, it's either this or for our siblings, and I don't mind either. I just like the point of pride this emphasizes in C.D as a protagonist, because that would add a bit of spice to her characterization. Besides, we can be selfish and also still protect and provide for our family.

Vote for Ourselves! Because how dare some schmuck try and destroy US?

Not too sure if we should do that, or to get it out to the wider public. According to Buzz-Buzz, that may just lead to C.D. being hunted down for their knowledge or the corps responding in a way that Giygas would partially get the genocide he wants.
 
If telling people ain't the way to go, there's always pumping up Martial and PSI ourselves, finding the Master Sword or some equivalent (maybe the Magic Sword from the first game), and then going to town on Giygas.

I agree with that because I would rather fight against the big three then work with them and it might help us be become much stronger by fighting them and getting new allies by doing so.

I also want to play the part of a resistance against them personally.

I wonder what the various colours for our voting options mean? Is it just flavour and characterization? Maybe we'll get a trait or two out of it?

I mean, our first plan was "Big Sis to the Rescue" So I would like to continue the sibling angle, at least for a little bit. Also, I like the angle of our character having a good heart and angry fists. That character type always appeals to me.

Also, she does look like Aubrey and even has a baseball bat. But Kumatora from Mother 3 is also a pink-haired tomboy with destructive psychic power, so it's not like this is unheard of in the Mother series.
 
You know, I hope Buzz-Buzz lives for a while this time, I already like this characterization of him and I feel like he would be able to help a lot.

Literally the most embarrassing death possible. Buzz Buzz must never be within the same room and/or 12 feet of Porky's mom. We don't need to lose such a valuable asset.

He could also function as a PSI trainer for Paula and us, that'd be real nice.
 
i'm just curious does Ness still exist because Buzz Buzz mention someone likes us that stoped Giygas along time ago and in the original mother game it was Ness grandfather Ninten who stopped him.

Did we replace his history with our grandparent stopping him or not I'm just curious.

Time and Canon is screwy in 8-Bit, but given all the stuff with the Invaders before, could be possible that Ness's Family did not make it, really it depends on if we see any of them or not.

As it stands now, the only people we have confirmed knowledge on if they are around is Porky and his family, Paula and Buzz-Buzz. And even that is not stable as there could be a bunch of things different with them.
 
As long as Porky doesn't help Gygas - or becomes an horrible immortal monster- , I am happy. We should try and rescue Paula as soon as possible, and if she is Orphaned, try to adopt her. The world is cruel, we shouldn't leave those in need behind. Besides, if she helps our siblings, she may have an easier time helping us in our Quest.

Even if she isn't Orphaned, we should still try to keep in contact with her. Without Ness around, she is at a much higher risk of Death.

Look, it's kinda tropey... but I feel it fits. Genuine heroism coming form a person that people brush off as a 'bad sort', keeping some level of hope and kindness going in the face of all this.

Not to say I don't like the other winning option though. Well intentioned self-interest is a fun character trai to play witht. But given all the darkness already present in addition to, you know, fucking Giygas, i kinda want to see some genuine uncynical kindness.


...Also, my brain is already trying to figure out if we can rework PK starstorm so that we can summon up a meteor to hit like a home run at an enemy. Batter up!

We have to keep upgrading our Baseball Bat until it can go head to head with the Master Sword. That'll be our thing. Technology and PSI and whatever else we can cram into a bat.
