I really like how these options with this childhood makes this version of Batman just a giant nerd, someone who would otherwise be just an old timey gadgeteer hero or like holmes-style detective, until they get out in the world and then focus all their being on learning how to catch up and actually fight toe-to-toe with other hard boiled vigilantes and gangster villains.

Even if that motto doesn't go through we should try to shape a Batman who isn't so emotionally distant. That way we don't get the dissonance of Bruce attempting to be a brooding loner while collecting a gaggle of surrogate children (and one actual son) and having active membership on the world's premier superhero team.

Canon Bruce Wayne is a mess psychologically. Let's do something about it.
