Attempting to Fulfil The Plan: ISOT Edition

[]Newspapers: Newspapers represent a useful vector for spreading information and propaganda, as well as the maintenance of mass literacy. Daily papers will begin printing in Mycenae, Tiryns, and Dyme, focusing on things such as sports, local news, educational columns, and the successes of the Revolution. A monthly farmer's almanac will also be published nationwide, although the almost complete lack of literacy and issues with transportation in rural areas means that distribution will be limited, at least for now. (5 Resources per dice (0/40))
This will work better then you would expect with our current literacy levels, as the person bringing the Newspapers or almanac does not need to be the one person in the village who can read and once it arrives it can be read aloud by that one person who can read sitting next to a fire for light once its to dark to work on the farm. But as this is the turn with a lot of farm labor available it is the time to build mills.

We only get to yeet this many peasants at rural projects once every three turns, and I intend to make the most of it.

Especially since at the end of this year (and likely spilling into next year's free labor turn) we'll be at war with New Arizona, so there's liable to be a lot less free manpower once all the levies get mobilized.

Yeah this might be the las turn for a fair bit where we will have a lot of free labor so We need to make the most of it.

True, but we may never get to use them again if they all die of smallpox. And it looks like we need at least stage 3 to get into the rural population.

4 dice this turn should see us past Stage 2. Then we can use Free Dice to do Stage 3 (and presumably some work into Stage 4) next turn when we don't have rural labor available anyway.

[X] Plan Peasant Yeeting

I'm kind of uneasy about no free dice at all on vaccines, but I've been convinced of the necessity of using our free labor while we still can.

[X] Plan Stopping the Plague
I still want pro vaccine maximalism and spending all the resources. Perhaps we can make up the manpower later with some Attican POWs or something.

"Making up for it later" means roughly a year, possibly more, without addressing our current, "Severe" issues with Transportation, which has already worsened from from its previous "many bottlenecks" just last turn.

They are not due to the amount of construction work involved in the other plan.
If The plague is hitting us it's hitting through ports. Those are semi-covered already and Peasant Yeeting will cover enough, if not all, of the urban population to make a port spread unlikely. The construction would only maybe make things worse if it somehow spread overland, which is not happening this turn.

If anything now is the best time to get this sort of mass construction done before Smallpox actually hits. Since right now the disease hasn't even reached the Mediterranean coast yet.

I would be entirely unsurprised if it did so over the course of this turn, but it means that getting this sort of mass corvee out of the way right now would be doing it with the lowest chance of the workforce coming down with a Smallpox epidemic, because there hasn't been time for anyone to come into contact with anyone else who has it.
