Okay so it has come to my attention that my plan was 1 point over the budget. So just to let you know, I've taken Existence Rending down a tier into Existence Wounding and used the remaining points to boost Physicality up by another tier into Bulwark level

What about reducing cybernetics by one level and keep Existence Rending then using the spare point to get training in something like soldier. I really like the idea that we can just kill metaphysical foes.

I considered that but Cybernetics is less effective point-to-point at lvl 2 than at lvl 3, since it drops by a value of 4 rather than 3. Plus Existence Wounding is still capable of killing metaphysical enemies, it's just not a complete guarantee, and I figured that it's not too big a loss

I felt like creating my own Xeno that is a little different from every one else, Still also voting for Robot spider cause that looks like fun also.

[X] Tiny Mollusks In The Big City
-[X] Shogi one of the rare fortress worlds, a world that trains for war and is prepared to fight until the bitter end. A titan legion stands ready to guard against all invaders, billions serve in the armies of this world with weapons of high quality and tended to by priests of the machine that are most skilled in their ways. Technology moves forward upon this world, research conducted in the most secretive of zones into deeper mysteries of technology itself. It Is a world of war and wonder, yet it would be difficult indeed for a xenos to hide upon this world. (Gives 6 points, this is the Hard World)
-[X] The enigmatic Aeldari approached the xenos of note to the weave of fate and gave an offer that one could not deny and so the throne was given to the misguided xeno. The Imperium knew not of the disaster that was to befall the world for it might or might not occur, but all that would happen would at the discretion of the Aeldari that sought to use their sight beyond time to weave a future displeasing to all bar themselves. In the end, perhaps the one that would suffer the most would be the one that bound to the Throne given not through achievement, but patronage. (Must take Eldar Assistance in the point buy, sets Diplomacy to Tier 2 and Faith to Tier 2)
-[X] Molluscoid: 4 points
-[X] Unipedal: 3 points
-[X] Toxin rich: 3 points
-[X] Massive: 6 points (increases points from Dietary Needs by 60%, minimum of 0)
-[X] Tiny: 4 points
-[X] Biological - this is just the Nids on a lower level, custom viruses/fungi/animals and so forth that produce various resources, in most cases this would be augmentative and work in symbiosis with people
-[X] Artisanal - this is the stereotypical dwarf style, masterworks galore but very slow production across the board. It enhances everything overall, but reduces the amount significantly.
-[X] Genius (8)
-[X] Unbending (6)
-[X] Multitasking lvl 1 (4)
-[X] Asexual Reproduction (2)
-[X] Xenos Tech Lvl 2 (6): high end xenos tech from species, roughly equivalent to in-between Mid/High Imperial technology by and large at first level, second level provides a custom suit of power armor, personal shields and tech that is High/Advanced imperial equivalent
-[X] Pet Grynix (4): increases Willpower by 2 Tiers when resisting/using powers from metaphysical sources
-[X] Xenos Friends (6): Will have alien allies/mercenaries at your command for clandestine actions
-[X] Eldar Assistance: gives 10 points and unlocks the option to be installed by the Aeldari for one of their plans (can not be taken with Necron Patronage)
-[X] Psyker: mutually exclusive with any other option, ensures that the species is fully psychic

The main difference between Existence Wounding and Rending is the level of effect on it. Wounding is where if you kill a daemon you have a 50-75% chance of truly slaying them, at the time of their dispersion from the material plane. Rending simply means that if you kill a daemon they are dead no chance to live, Rending also applies to Necrons but that is about all those 3 points for Rending get you over Wounding.

@Leon12431 Thanks for that info really useful. Also wonder, if you are willing, if you could do a littler fluff info spill about the Xeno I did Tiny Mollusk if you do not mind.

A bit late to the party but how's this for an idea: we're totally not a man of iron dug up by the Mechanicus thus making us closer to a digital existence rather than a physical one.

I apologize if this is not up to the same level as the fluff I wrote for Brooks
The Chackatir hail from a death world by imperial parlance, a world with oceans of toxic enzymes that float in suspension in the toxic swamps, this was the place of their origin. The toxic swamps where insects of great size and quantities fly and breed, with toxic flesh serve as their primary food source both alive and decaying.

Over the eons, they have mastered this ecosystem to a degree unmatched and insects have been breed to fulfill impossible jobs for life to manage on its own. Shells of great size provide shelter from the toxin storms that ravage the world once a decade, while bore tendrils harvest toxin rich muck from the bottom of the swamps.

On this world the warp interacted with great frequency, the swarming of the daemons of rot a constant plague upon the world and so the Chackatir learned well how to handle the incursions. Growing strong in will and personality to resist the temptations of the toxic god of rot and decay. Until they had reached the point where they no longer feared the incursions and turned their focus towards survival.

Generations passed and each became smarter than the previous, greater masterworks of biology were breed and tested and recycled, a great chain of birth, life and death took hold over the world. In the end the Chackatir won the endless war and sealed away the daemons of rot with great psychically attuned brains that even to this day weave massive shields across the world, and stimulate their own powers.

Yet, in recent times they have learned of the Imperium and have sent explorers forth to examine and test the genetics of the galaxy beyond their world, for more genes to add to their breeding pits. Unfortunately, most die from the strange environments that are found outside of their world, but the few that do provide great value for the homeworld.

I'm not that brushed up on Warhammer lore (40K or otherwise) but wasn't there a hyper- intelligent orangutan xeno species around? If I recall they're one of the few that is actually tolerated due to usefulness and lack of threat.

@Leon12431 That was Amazing!!!!:D:D:D:D Thank you for indulging my request. I would really like to see how my tiny poisonous mollusk go in the great 40K universe.

Come on people let have any early upset. Vote for the weird outlier. Lets be a weird poison mollusk that can challenge Papa Nurgles underlings in how toxic we can be.

The vote is complex enough to make such fluff easy enough to write since its just synthesizing the choices into a cohesive whole. I think it is prudent to clarify that the choices are not made in a vacuum so to speak. Certain options interplay more directly on the narrative level and will have non listed bonuses/maluses for the species and main character, but the options set what is the lowest possible point so to speak.

@Leon12431 what type of fluff would base off of the plan I made? If you don't mind me asking that is
The Xataria are one of the stranger races in the galaxy, born eons ago in the cataclysmic ending days of the War In Heaven between the Old Ones and the C'tan, they are living rock formed from the heart of their world. Empowered by the weaves of time itself, they straddle the line between the geological and the biological, immortal until the end of all and unable to bring more of themselves into existence they have slowly built their technology to the point others reached in mere fractions of their time.

Only in recent eons have they breached the vault of space and seen other worlds, individuals might be eternal and never ending, but their numbers are finite and unless another war between gods occurs they will never again bring new life into their ranks. A species wide sense of melancholy has gripped them for eons as they have learned the pain of eternal life beyond even the wildest dreams of other races.

They care only for humanity upon the galactic stage for they have heard of the rare Perpetuals within the teeming masses of humans and desire to seek out those that share their curse and blessing to share and learn from them. To this end, the species has left their homeworld to seek out rumors and information on these rare figures from one of the youngest races of the galaxy.

Where other infiltrators might risk death, starvation matters not to the Xataria and so their infiltrators take risks unthinkable to others to further their goal, worlds are destroyed in their pursuit of even the most thin thread of rumor towards a perpetual. Only a small number of their few millions remain on the homeworld while the rest scour the galaxy.

Well this should be fun. Might as well throw my hat in.

[X] It had to be this way.
-[X] Shogi one of the rare fortress worlds, a world that trains for war and is prepared to fight until the bitter end. -[X] The silent metal form of the Necron stood over the xenos, giving no clue to its thoughts behind the gleaming metal shell and yet it acted. Reaching forth a hand with an orb of living metal within as an offer of patronage to the younger one, and was accepted. The dynasty that offered such was shrouded in shadows, but the orb thrummed greatly with promise and the Throne was prepared for the one that sought the patronage as the deal was completed. (Must take Necron Patronage to take, sets Diplomacy to Tier 2 and Learning to Tier 2)
-[X] Lithloid: 6 points
-[X] Humanoid: 1 point
-[X] Rare Elements: 4 points
-[X] Astartes Norm: 2 points
-[X] Large: 2 points
-[X] Nanotech - interlocking machines that can build greater structures together, unable to reach molecular or below, but can rapidly shift between various forms on the fly for simple enough items
--[X] Unbending - this is the metaphysical resistance of the technology, all technology has some level of inherent resilience to such matters, but this makes it extremely hard for metaphysical forces to wrestle control over the technology.
--[X] Quantitive - This is the mass production style where everything is built in mass and can be built by untrained people, this is what the las gun best exemplifies.
-[X] Erudite
-[X] Resilient
-[X] Shapeshifting
-[X] Trained Administrator
-[X] Trained Scholar
-[X] Millennial
-[X] Xenos Tech 1
-[X] Necron Patronage: gives 10 points and unlocks the option to be installed by the Necrons for one of their plans (can not be taken with Eldar Assistance)
-[X] Blank: mutually exclusive with any other option,, ensures the species if fully blank.

@jwolfe_beta I have gotten back to my computer and have calculated your plan. Barring the dice/buying directly issues, currently with your plan you are over spending by at minimum 3 points.

Issues to resolve: Dice Roll for Traits being used in conjunction with precise trait buying, over spending on Xenos Tech level 2.

What kind of build would make phyrexians or the supremacy-harmony faction from Civ:Be
I am unaware of those factions/races, but I doubt you can manage to actually recreate such a faction from this system if only due to it being fairly warhammer heavy in theming for the options.

Huh alright, time to check the numbers again.
Edit: should have 30 points to work with at base.

OK, now I'm down to -1 after fixing things (meant to write Xeno tech level 1) so just swap diet to rare elements to balance things out.

Well technically phyrexians would be on brand despite being from mtg as they're basically monstrous cyborgs. but I get what you're saying.
