[x] Look Mom, I'm a Millionaire!
-[x] 500,000 gold pieces
-[x] 500,000 gold pieces

[X]Plan Why Not?
-[X]A Cheat Code potion that will affect one of your spells
-[X]A Cheat Code potion that will affect one of your spells 2

Grumble.

[X] Plan: prepare to munch

At a glance, 500k gold is already an extremely large amount of money, so the benefits of doubling it seem marginal.

Why would he take that soon? I'm pretty sure we can buy spellbooks for less than 500,000 gold. Until he's got enough spells that the rest of the party wants Mystic Scholar is pretty much worthless.
Mystic scholar is an incredibly good class for changing the course of a floor, but yeah weak by itself compared to other options.

What happens if next floor 30% of crawlers are affected by something we have an answer to? Well, if we can do create create-spellbook spellbook shenanigans, we can rather quickly spread that to the rest of the floor.

I don't have a strong intuition here: how good of a spellbook are we likely to be able to buy? We've got spells like Grease and Invulnerability already on offer, are those {better than what we'd find in shops/about on par with what we'd find in shops/worse than what we'd find in shops}?

EJ said that Drew rolled VERY well for his picks. I'd imagine what we have on A.I.-offer are better than what we'll find available for store-bought purchase.

[X] Plan Hard Cash

Invulnerability was specifically mentioned as a possible spell in Wizard Supremacist so it's gotta be part of the draw of getting the spellbook options.

Summer Scent will let Drew clear out his smoke, not sure if that's relevant. I would think the Spellbooks considering they are books and not pluses can be shared?

Invuln on Taylor is absolutely insane. If it's a target:self spell (which it sure sounds like) then he can repeatedly cast it on other people as a line of sight spell. Seriously, I don't even think Drew should learn it if we get it

I figure Drew's likely to hit a spell he wants to hit with Mastery Unlock Potion given he has luck powers and it's not terribly unlikely. The 500,000 GP will help us IMMENSELY immediately, helping make up for the Mastery Unlock Potion not doing anything immediately.
[X]Long and short term
-[X]Mastery Unlock Potion
-[X]500,000 gold pieces

[X] Plan Hard Cash
-[X] A spellbook of Invulnerability
-[x] 500,000 gold pieces

We might be able to get this cheaper later, but it's worth making sure Taylor gets this early. We can always take Wizard Supremacist again for a chance at another million gold.

Look, I'll be honest, every plan so far sounds good. I was also considering an equivalent to Look, I'm a Millionaire even before I posted; I'm entirely willing to believe people who say DCC makes Grease into a ridiculously good spell that is normally underestimated; and my main worry about Invulnerability is that it sounds so good with just the name that it ends up being an in-universe trap choice, with such a short duration and high cost that it becomes useless.

So ths only reason I'm sticking purely to my original vote is because it's the one I made, and none of the plans make me want them particularly to win or lose.

...Also, @eaglejarl , should I put a 2 after the second copy of Cheat Code Potion in my plan, or does it work fine without bothering?

You forgot the "plan" part at the start of the vote. Also the Tallybot doesn't like repeat items
"Plan" isn't necessary, you're fine.

Wondering that here too - too late to retroactively change without screwing the vote further but I really shoulda put a (×2) in the second one.
Looks like the tally system doesn't like it, but it's fine. I can click on the first vote to see what's there. Probably wise to use the x2 in the future, though.

Mm. Well, given the vote splitting happening, I'm going to edit my plan anyway.

@kalugin @Shrooms
I don't especially mind if we lose this, given the competition, but since our vote is being split between people who already went for adding a 2 to the second pick and the three of us who didn't, I'm editing my initial post, and I hope you do too.
