@eaglejarl
btw, there is an issue with the class description of medical student:
It first calls "Heal Party" a benefit (without listed level) and then a Spell (which should have a level).
Fixed, thanks.

I think the math people are using for Medical Student is off? Either that or I'm confused. As I read it, the interest starts at $7500 (1% of 750000), the first payment is thus $378.5 (.05% of 757,500).
Maybe my presentation of it is wrong? Here's the intent, where day numbers start after the 5 day grace period:

Day: 1. Total: 757500. Payment: 3788
Day: 2. Total: 765075. Payment: 3826
Day: 3. Total: 772726. Payment: 3864
Day: 4. Total: 780454. Payment: 3903
Day: 5. Total: 788259. Payment: 3942
Day: 6. Total: 796142. Payment: 3981
Day: 7. Total: 804104. Payment: 4021
Day: 8. Total: 812146. Payment: 4061
Day: 9. Total: 820268. Payment: 4102
Day: 10. Total: 828471. Payment: 4143

Is experience earned for a skill gotten through Former Child Actor considered an advantage of that class (and disappears on leaving the floor) or do the xp/skill level ups gained with it stay?
Unfortunately, my mouthpiece is only a game guide and therefore I'm unable to answer that question.

Yeah, seeing the numbers laid out like that I'm gonna be out on Medical Student. I'm sure we can make build choices for Leo and Taylor that make it work, but I don't want to be forced into those choices out of necessity.

3788 is 0.5% of 757500 not 0.05% as written in the class description.
But looks like my original assumption (the mandatory payment does not reduce debt) was right.
When you choose this class, a new tab will appear in your interface to track your student loan debt. You start 750,000 gold in debt. You will receive a 150 hour grace period before compounding and payments begin. At the end of that period and every 30 hours thereafter, the debt will compound by 1% (the interest rate) and then a payment of 0.05% (the payment rate) of the total debt will be withdrawn from your gold total. Once every 30 hours, your interface will allow you to pay extra against the principal.

I've been wandering through the thread since the threadmark where Drew got his race, after I remembered talk about a different fiction with the same premise as this one, and for the life of me I can't find it.

It's kinda amusing to me how we're 3 off from getting the vegas strip magician. On top of the poll, instead of former child actor. (Jokingly, Drew holding a sign with the words "the hat is bigger on the inside" and then he takes off the hat and suddenly his hairdo comes out.)

Why are we going child acter
Currently not voting Former Child Actor, but:
The manager benefit might be good. The select a class from random list can be situationally useful. If the suspicion that you keep skill level ups it is broken overpowered. The select a class from random list forces us to change our style to fit the selected class, making us more interesting for the audience.

Ah, I see. I wrote it as a multiplier but then put the % sign on it because my brain is cheese. Apologies for that; it's now fixed.

There's:
Canon Dungeon Crawler Carl and its sequels
Fanfic Dungeon Crawler Katia
Fanfic Dungeon Crawler Darryl

DCC canon book 6 is currently being listed on RoyalRoad for free, although it will eventually be taken down because Matt needs to eat and Amazon doesn't like to share.

You can get all six books of DCC for $3 on Matt's Patreon.

Well assuming Former Child Actor works like it does in canon and my understanding isn't too flawed Vegas Strip Magician is actually a really good class to copy with Character Actor. It's mostly made up of skills and spells that we could keep, though the argument against taking it early would be that it's so good we try and wait and take it when it's more likely we can get the whole class.

Gotta say looking through them again Disgruntled Postal Worker is an absolute beast of a class. Maybe we are too focused on Drew being support or mage but Going Postal turns him into a damage god and all the skills are really good, a full heal when he would die (actually might be the one skill I have seen that is arguable worse with levels but less chance of being killed by something it doesn't effect).

I mean sure 3 lvl 75 guards is pretty much a death sentence if they catch you unprepared, but they come 5 minutes after the skill ends! With it going everything should be dead in a minute tops, that's 4 minutes to book it. And there might be opportunities to exploit them coming, that's a powerful charm target if we can game it to stick, or a lot of xp if we have a way to exploit them.

And I just love the skill name Doing My Fucking Rounds No Matter Fucking What.

Me noticing that I can borrow book 1 and 2 from the library, while also a bit sad that book 3 4 and 5 aren't there as far as I can tell.

Just finished reading Dungeon Crawler Darryl. It's changed my opinion of the Manager perk, which seems very useful to convey worldbuilding to readers who (like me) haven't read the original source material.

Changing my votes to focus on Manager-granting classes :
[X] Professional Gambler
Picking this for the luck enhancement, synergistic weapon, and great skill.
[X] Combat Medic
Picking this for the solid luck enhancement (which stacks!), and the good healing.
[X] Special Effects Nerd
Picking this for Manager, and because illusions are really strong.
[X] Former Child Actor
Picking this for Manager, and because if the Gacha is kind we could grab some great skills. How about Democratic Senator's permanent boost to XP gain rate? Relentless Justiciar for Pathfinder and ability to revive the dead?
[X] Relentless Justiciar
Picking this because it can raise allies from the dead...

I hate to give up on Wizard Supremacist, but now that he's missed the broken race combos (Spirit of Magic seems like it would have effectively granted him infinite HP and Mana, while Pixie would have granted hm triple mana regen) I think it's just too risky for him. And despite my love for wizards, I sort of like the "melee, but with tricks" vibe the party currently has.

Former Child Actor also has Manager benefit, and depending on how it exactly works it could be really broken.

Can't believe I forgot that. Fixed.

Also, I just double-checked. There's a 1 hour cooldown on Life For Power, so Wizard Supremacist + Spirit of Magic wouldn't have granted infinite mana.
Wizard Supremacist + Pixie would have been great though...

While I'm sure Leo won't unlock Wizard Supremacist, I'll vote to make her a Pixie if possible. It seems like it would really fit her desire to fly around really fast and dodge stuff, and while the inability to hide would make scouting a bit riskier the tripled mana regen does seem like it would have huge potential to make her a magic-skirmisher instead of an item-based skirmisher. Or it could synergise with one of those classes that generates explosives from mana (we got two for Drew), creating an agile skirmisher with a ton of bombs.

I was thinking a race that unlocks earth based classes (if in doubt the luck one sounds good, can't go wrong with stacking chances in our favor) and take the hitman class if it is (hopefully) available.
Would only need to get something for her to be better at driving sneakily to be able to stack bonuses. (Or something that makes enemies stop being aware of her)

The problem with stacking too many luck effects is that asking the AI to turn enemies into bumbling fools can IMO only work up to a point. After that, you need to limit the effect a bit to preserve tension. Giving Drew a super strong luck effect makes sense, but also giving Leo a luck effect (say, the same race) is IMO a bad call.
Furthermore, I think we need to give some players actually useful abilities that directly impact the situation. Massive passive boosts are great and will smooth over any problems, but getting abilities that allow for whole new tactical possibilities is also important. Hence why I suggested a wizard of some sort, and not just Scion of Zree + Democratic Senator (a very solid combo).

I'm also just not a fan of stealth builds in parties that can't all focus on it.

For the wizard of the party I was hoping Taylor takes "mystic scholar" (or something like it). Copying 1 spell per hour (and 1000 gp) from willing people could work great with having many allies (Astro Army) or something like Former Child Actor ( any spell they learn for one floor Tay could copy. And turn into spell books.). Plus the

Access to all training guilds and an unlock for each skill trainable at that guild
bit could be really strong with a good money engine.

In this particular case, you'll lose the unlock if you leave the guild without paying to train the skill."
Assuming it was Taylor with that advantage:
Is the unlock Taylor specific or can Drew and Leo use it too while they are in the guild with Taylor?

You make a good point, but the counterargument is that if only Drew is lucky, and the AI wants drama, bad things may bounce off him and hit the rest of the party. "How lucky that the Lance of Longinus aimed for Drew's heart bounced off his shirt button. Oops, is that a hole in Calliope?"

The Tir Inqua effect applies to the whole party (unless they get far enough away to be outside the area of effect.)

Even if we don't get the bug which means we keep the skills, Child Actor is still really juicy in combination with Fortuna. +15% growth and an immediate +10 Char boost will do a lot for survival, let alone the Cockroach skill. And we can pick Charisma classes to emulate, boosting it further.
