Would love a total nerd in charge! Feels like it would go really well with the commie gov. I like the politician as well but if it gets close to a tie I'll change my vote.

I think the agency options go from least background conflict to highest conflict? I like that the IEC won't have to worry about disruption on the ground as much, and can use the new technologies it develops to help rebuild the world.

I am honestly fine with anything EXCEPT the corporation winning, as far as the shape of our agency goes. Yes, even for as much of a fuck-awful place to live the Imperial League probably is, I would still choose them over any sort of for-profit entity. Space travel is amazingly expensive and requires a lot of maturation before it starts to yield anything remotely resembling a return on one's investment. If stroking a monarch's ego is what it takes to avoid mankind's cradle becoming mankind's grave, then so be it.

I'll be honest Intercosmos just seems like the more fun (and more funded) of the two communist options, dont quite get why it's behind the other one

EDIT: It also has a much better name

I love the idea that the post-capitalist space program was literally all the rocket nerds getting together and in order to do rocket things, and naturally they elected the greatest of all rocket nerds as their leader.

I also think it's be the most fun option BY FAR. We'll be very resource strapped, but we'll have litaral rocket wizards on staff. It will lead to the most amazingly fun jank designs imaginable.

Ah well. I'm looking forward to wrangling ESA x10. Or the Anarchist Cosmo Gang, which we seem to be heading toward.

If USEB does win, figuring how to manage the inevitable competitive aspects will be interesting. Alternatively, the main trick with the Cooperative would probably be consistent results.

I assume we will be doing unmanned as well as manned missions?

I really hope that Yao Xia wins. I don't care if it's mechanically suboptimal or whatever, I want to play someone who is intensely enthusiastic about rockets and space. I want to have a main character who relaxes from the stress of running a space program by building rockets in their shed.

I want Penelope Carter to win not just for the mechanical advantage but also because SV always goes for the nerd option/bad with people option so I like to for once to go with the people/social person option

Anyway we can convince anyone voting Interplanetary Exploration to switch to Intercosmos? It has more funding, a noble aim, a better name, and (I would argue) more intresting political tensions. Instead of just different regions wanting stuff there are actual different revolutionary factions vying for support
