Sorry but this does not hold well for what's going to be coming into the future, especially since there's no reprisal the aliens can keep doing this again and again. With russias expanse a land war with alien tech and bio/cyber horrors is basically a no go zone, and with the freedom the basically turn Russia into a science experimentation that would leave the nazi's in envy (because let's face it, in every X-comite game the aliens are pretty horrendous with their captives and any nation they conquer…)

Not looking forward to seeing what's going to be crawling out of that land now that Russia is going to be a write off.

Edited: besides that bit and worry about a land war with the aliens superior tech…

I not sure we'd really be able to nuke it without there being some nasty fallout even if the blast doesn't do direct damage. But then you have to guess at the odds of the ship crashing and not taking out large chunks of the city.

I still would want to do it just so the aliens didn't try the same stunt somewhere else but it could be seen similarly to shooting through a hostage (if that's "safely" possible) to take out a serial killer. Better a flesh wound than a slit throat or future victims but I don't think anyone is going to feel safe with us calling the shots after that point.

Hope we can get like 3 turns of positive PS. I'd really like to see 60+ again to offset any potential catastrophic failure.

we have 49 political support and get 4 per turn 4 turns of political support for a decent chance of getting 2 new allies is cheap

Shame on russia. Foolish Puddy. Down to 33 PS, so down goes my dreams of Index Initiative this year unless the dice roll really well on PS or the nations want to expand

That's another reason why I was trying to speedrun Delta Base - when we complete the current Phase we get an extra Administration dice giving us a total of four Admin dice. That means we can spend two Admin dice each to do two security checks per turn with a pretty good chance of success.

We've also got options to increase PS we can add to our plans - completing the current phases of Enigma Site and Warsaw Reconstruction gain us 2 PS each, so it might be worth considering slipping a few dice towards those option.

sure it might push russia opinion more toward the aliens but at least if something jumps of we have a full border press on them.
also we need way more boom.
