New Good Seed and Omake Rule Updates
Good Seed and Omake Spreadsheet Rules:

Firstly, if you have questions about Good Seeds and the like please read here. If that doesn't answer your question please ping me in thread, or on Discord.

If you write a new Good Seed, or write an omake, please update the spreadsheet if you have access.

If you do not have access, please ping a collaborator (Swordomatic, Alectai, Quest, TehChron, Insane-Not-Crazy, Humbaba, ReaderOfFate, Kaboomatic, no., BungieONI) letting them know what you want and they will update the spreadsheet here. To gain access, you will need a gmail account of some kind. Throwaway emails are fine (I'm using one for the spreadsheet), but to gain access it's as simple as sending me either your email via PM, via DM in Discord, or just in Discord's #spreadsheet-requests channel.

This is mandatory. If a Good Seed does not record their omake by pinging collabs (or just requesting access and editing things themselves - this is the preferred option), I won't give out awards. If a new Good Seed is not recorded here, they won't advance. By doing this it makes the whole thing manageable for me - it's gotten pretty unwieldy!

-----------------------

Omake Writer Instructions:

There are four fields you need to fill out.

Omake Link, which is just a link to your first omake for the turn. This makes it easier for me to read them as I do the update - without this it's tough to know off the bat which omake were written this turn, and to properly

Requested Bonus, which is your requested bonus for your omake. You can leave it up to me if you like. You can see more info in the Good Seed infopost here.

Cultivation Aims. For those following unorthodox paths - higher than 9th Heavenstage or later than 7th Dao Pillar paths. Please put in what you are aiming for before you break through. I have left it as 'default'. If you do not edit it, I'll go with that.

Turn Notes - Do you want to do something specific? Enter a Secret Realm? Help the Clan out in some way? If you have something specific you want to accomplish on this turn, put it in turn notes so I can adjust your Fate around it.

All other fields are for QM use to record character information to properly run the flow of the game.

So time paradox damage cause and effect and heaven needs to fix that before reinforcing the curse or healing itself? The single pillar path damage the heaven and the 8 pillars heal? The fifth sea guardian is dead? And maybe? Just maybe having one strong good seed that follow one with the world could protect the clan from heaven (returning) wrath? Plus thetr was artifacts that protect the GD from the heaven while boosting their blood? The last one seems like part of the reason for the blood itself be a big part of what is cursed?

This is what I got (or think I did).

Well no wonder that altar lord like single pillars. And the land of time blood cultivators is not only close to that thing but even succeed in having a single pillar cultivator.

The vote seems to be obvious, but I'd like to point out that just because we use this boon on Klei, doesn't mean Manuel can't marry XX in the future <3

Wow, so the Golden Devils were once genocidal @$$holes murdering mortals (unless we assume that all of Bhigru's clan were cultivator which even then...).

The clan might have lost power but at least we became better on some aspects.

Also, wow, such a steamroll, I feel like I'm voting for a third party, lol.

So this came up in discord and Garlac asked me to post it here as well

I think the current orthodox is the capped at spirit severing most places, due to not being any idea where to go, unless you went for 8 pillar, in which case, you can progress to world synergy
And 9 pillar is a glitch
Probably the same thing Soup Chef used to get out with added heavenly treasures for spices

so, there is that. wheter Turtle World now caps cultivators at Spirit severing unless they submit to the heavens is up to debate.
As for 9th pillar being a glitch or not, we will see :V

I don't understand all this Path talk, is it worth having another conversation with Altar Lord regarding the new lore?
This is exceptionally difficult to know. From Manuel's perspective, they have sufficiently limited Dao (insofar as this means their personal philosophy and attempt to understand the ultimate truth that underlies the universe) that they should all be able to reach Nascent Soul in theory. But predicting Nascent Soul tribulation success is hard - the shattering rate is fairly low (being able to shatter your Core and reject everything you've built up for centuries is incredibly hard, one in ten Great Circles can ever reach that level), and even among those who shatter their Cores successfully, transcending the tribulation is no more than one in five.
As it does not seem that Casia will have good odds of ascending without this boost so we're most likely to get either one or the other, I'd prefer her to Kliesthenes.

"World Fusion is a different path. To live in harmony with the world, and to accept the natural Law, the decrees of Heaven. To repair and reinforce the world, rather than to maim it for your own advantage. It closes off the true path of ascension, but in return, the power far exceeds Law Creation. In harmony with the world, all of its forces are usable by me, all of the lines of Fate can be seen. The world does not merely tolerate my existence but demands it. To try to kill me without Heaven consenting is audacious - and impossible besides."
Or in other words, total submission to the mindless machinations of Heaven, damn the cost. Just because the Sea-Conquering Army appear to have been little better than the Celestial Machine does not make Bhrigu any less in error.

Heaven would have happily held him helpless while his entire family died in agony, so long as their deaths occurred in accordance with its own depraved schema. Its only objection to the Sea-Conquering Army was in daring to defy its will, not their arrogance and disregard for human life - such things are practically treated as virtues when its own chosen evince them.

I hope Bhrigu lived to see just what sort of world he was in harmony with.

While world fusion might just have enough lifespan to survive until now, we do not know if the sage bhirgu is the same as
old bhirgu.
He might just be a descendant.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's been forcibly kept alive by Heaven as a tool; my impression of what World Fusion involves is that you're possibly literally handing your soul over to Heaven in exchange for becoming a terminal of its will. You sacrifice your Dao and all the power built up through your path of cultivation so that Heaven can wire you directly into its power grid.

If he did die, it would only be once Heaven considered his utility to it expended.

I just binged this whole thread and this is amazing! Such a cool concept and being a Good Seed is amazing! So well written, and with all of the various options-I did absolutely no work today and I blame you all! :p

Controversial perhaps, but I genuinely feel Kleisthenes can reach Nascent Soul by herself. I think having those intrigue bonuses from a Nascent Soul council member is very important right now-we need more information and more ability to act covertly!

Also there's a chance this feeling of being looked over could make Klei more jealous and motivated to be better than Xie, accelerating her ascension to Nascent Soul.

I'm planning to make my Good Seed at some point, after reading some of the characters, but I have to ask @Kaboomatic is Ninth Prince gone for good? It was so cool seeing an Indian Xianxia protagonist, not to mention one so over the top dramatic-he was amazing. If gone, he will be missed.

It's really no contest at all. Of the three, Kleisthenes is by far the most interesting character and she comes with no obvious downsides. When building up strength as we are now, it's important to minimize your weaknesses, and that means improving in Nascent Soul combat.

With regards to that interlude:

To no big surprise, the Sea Conquering Army were assholes. The division of World Fusion and Law Construction is interesting. It seems the Turtle Emperor personally invented the World Fusion stage to kill the Sea Conquering Army's top dogs, while also stopping Cultivators from rising any higher. After all, what would most people choose: a guaranteed spot at being one of the supreme beings of the world, or a 1% chance to get stronger than that after who knows how many millennia of avoiding fights with the aforementioned supreme beings?

To keep it simple: Whatever the plan is, Kaboom isn't talking.

Even though I don't want Xinya to win, there is one aspect that hasn't been mentioned yet:

As cultivation goes up, fertility goes down(presumably in proportion to lifespan, but maybe even more than that). A Nascent Soul's chance of conceiving a child is so low they're practically barren. However: people with higher cultivation also have children with higher cultivation aptitude. We don't know exactly how big the influence is(after all, the children of old monsters are also swimming in stones and elixirs from day one), but it's definitely a thing.

We also have a fecundity storks.

With their help, Manuel and Xinya might be able to conceive an incredibly talented Young Patrician who cultivates twice as fast as a Good Seed in theory, and does it even faster that in practice thanks to their mother slipping them extra resources constantly.

It's not enough to change my vote, but it's an interesting thing to consider.

That's... pretty much the case regardless of who Manuel marries, though. Heck - Xie has been propositioning him repeatedly even without being Nascent... and all three of the prospective Nascents are female, as is the one allied nascent we have.

I'd be tempted to try spinning this off as some sort of a smutty doujinshi harem fantasy, except that Destasia already did that.

Yeah, but Manuel's too much of a boring old fogey to ever touch a woman unless they actively propositioned him, and Casia and Kleisthenes don't seem the type.

Plus, a four great realm average is better than a 3.5 average. Gotta balance both parents, Crusader Kings it up :V

By CK logic, Manuel should marry Yao Zhihao, because that would add a permanent third Nascent Soul to the Bronze Devils' ranks.

(a) If Manuel marries from within the Clan or remains single - Bronze Devils have two Nascent Soul Grand Elders who work permanently for the BDs, and one affiliated Nascent Soul ally who stays around for the next 60 years only.

(b) If Manuel marries Yao Zhihao - Bronze Devils have three Nascent Soul Grand Elder who work permanently for the BDs.

Actually, now that I've written that out, it does sound like a good idea for Manuel to marry Yao Zhihao.

To @occipitallobe: Could we vote for Manuel to take a Personal action next turn to woo Yao Zhihao and propose marriage to her?
