Can we grab/convince Prof. Anders to come with us? She was always good with alien tech.

I propose we get a solid foundation set before we make any big changes.

I'm curious if the Assembly will be flushed out into open action due to the current events.

If you don't know what it is..its cabal of Smart AI's that been indirectly supporting humanity for quite long time.. They initially hid Onyxs existence as to prevent the foreunner tech being discovered "too early" in their view.

Speaking of smart ais we should really get around to using that neural mapper one of these days.

Anders is only like... 13 right now... and thats not exactly Spartan Age.

Halsey can probably pull strings to make it possible if she proves herself worthy of such a task... but unlikely.

Or the Spartans can get their own cool Ship, with Gian's brain supplying everything that makes it badass.

Ahh... That might be a problem.

If only because if we make a Smart AI... we might come into contact with them, and they might consider us a threat.

You actually will be able to do that now.

Though the problem with that little thing is, if you use a developing brain... things might get wierd.

That would imply direct action taken against us, which the majority of the Assembly at this point would be adverse to doing so..

And..well, they seemed supportive of S2 project according to the data logs in noting it got fully operational year before insurrection got out of control..

And it...wouldnt really make sense considering they let ONI "discover" Onyx at this point...so why would they try to eliminate a variable that has a good chance of unlocking something new there?

That would imply that there isn't a faction wanting to keep Oynx hidden from the UNSC, trying to reach some sort of consensus on what to do with us.

They may not want to kill us, but they most certainly can't have us running around the Galaxy like Scooby-Doo, unmasking all the secrets of the universe.

While also correct, you must remember that we've been changing the timeline a bit.

And we probably got their attention already when we first translated the Reclaimer symbol.

Come on guys, just a few more votes to the The UNSC Beacon... I mean despite the potential of Onyx if we screw things up with Forerunner tech in Onyx we may need to use the halos to mercy killing the galaxy, and I am not making things up here.

In an absolute worst case scenario. If things get that bad, the Flood or Covenant will kill us anyway. Also, does anyone know what he's referencing there? He says it's not the flood, and I can't thing of anything that bad outside of it. The Didact is a threat certainly, but not on that scale, is imprisoned somewhere else, and I think he mentioned that separately anyway.
