Edit: For those new to Halo there is a Forerunner Shield world here that has Hugarok that we can use, Trillions of sentinels, Forerunner vehicles, and a slipsace network that leads to other Forerunner installations on other worlds although most have unknown destinations.
Edit: Plus the Shield world is extremely habitable by human standards so they can live off the land if they need to

Currently Didact is locked up in a completely different shield world and implication is that he only has local limited access to it. (hence why he couldnt control his own Prometheans despite them being guards for the Cryptum)

Onyx is a gamble, it has a lot of risks and no guarantees, and we lose the chance to influence Mjolnir or the Insurrection more easily, but if we can pull it off the rewards could completely change the course of history. And there are risks everywhere, the Covenant isn't going to stop coming and neither Parangosky nor the Insurrectionists cease plotting no matter where we go.
