Well, first ENEMY get. I can't wait to pulverize him so bad that he ends up a shitty useless NEET otaku for the rest of his miserable life.

Welp, looks like we are confined to being the "Guy in the Chair" while bro becomes a hero with his fox waifu to take down another fox waifu.

Boy oh boy! That guy just won an life-time supply of WHOOPED-ASS. I seriously hope he doesn't give us the chance to pay him back, because if that happens I'm gonna vote to take a page from JoJo's book, and reenact Steely Dan, Full-Contact Version.

Holy fuck I despise him.

Oo-hoo-hoo, that little weasel...

I say we call out an SOS to our brother for backup, and study like heck in the meantime. I don't think we should take him on alone.

How does getting confined to our room make us loose AP? Shouldn't that give us more free time? Because now the time we'd normally spend in class is free to do the limited amount of stuff we can do.

Yeah I'm slightly confused shouldn't this just limit our options and still allow us to study or something?

Well, yes. But there are certain things that have been blocked off to you. Such as going to the Library, going to the school shop, basically anywhere on campus that isn't to eat or your dorm room.

But you are correct that it doesn't make a lot of sense. I'll fix it in a bit.

Cool cool thanks :)

Taking the time to up our education would be useful though I wonder if there's something better we can do

Week. 3.4
"Who did it?"

Those are the first three words Yamato says to you after he and Yameko return to the dorm room, and find you punching three pillows stacked ontop of each other.

You look up at your brother and give a weak smile, "Hey, bro. How'd your da-"

"Who did it?" your brother asks again tossing his backpack onto his bed and walking towards you.

"What are you talking about?"

You stand up, him stopping mere inches away from your face as he stares you down. He speaks in a tone that you're not used to when it comes to your brother, one of seriousness and drive, "You've found something at home to punch for stress relief three times before now. Each time it was because you were upset over something that had happened to someone else because of your actions. Each of those times, it was because someone else did something bad to you that you couldn't directly solve with a fistfight. Going off that data, this is no different. Who did it?"

...Ok, your glad your brother is looking after you, but does he really have to remember things like that? In numerical amounts?

You sigh and shake your head, "A little asshole named Satoshi Yunagi from my Martial Arts Club." You explain everything that happened, including the Confinement Order given to you and Hose.

"Son of the CEO of Mondo Circuits. Yameko, procure my laptop."

"At once Yamato-sama," your brother takes a seat on his bed while his Kitsune Partner grabs his laptop with her tails. She places it in his lap and sits next to your brother, who scratches her twitching ears as praise before focusing on his computer. The fury with which he taps away at his keyboard makes you slightly fear that he'll break it.

"What is Lord Yamato doing?" Yato asks you while your brother types away.

"I'm not sure," you admit, "But it's probably to help me. Which you don't have to do-"

"Found something," the briefest of gleams comes from his eye as he admits this, "I've checked all the public records for Mondo Circuits. Even accounting for business expenses, the amount of profit they made this Yearly Quarter doesn't add up. They should've been down seven billion yen in profit, but are instead up fifteen billion yen in profit. There are many possible reasons for this, but they all lead back to one conclusion: They're laundering money."

"Wait," you sit down next to your bro and look at his screen...which you can't make heads or tails of due to all the...everything right there in front of you. But you get the gist of it, "Isn't that illegal?"

"Yes."

"Then, shouldn't we tell someone in the government about this?"

"No," he says quickly, "They might be compromised or bribed by Mondo. The better idea would be to send this information to their rivals. If they can apply enough pressure, Mondo won't be able to get away easily and could even have their company completely bought out at risk of a scandal and severe stock drop."

"...Wouldn't it be easier to simply confront this Yunagi and physically punish him?" Yato says aloud, clearly not understanding what is happening.

Yameko chuckles while leaning against Yamato's shoulder, "The talking museum piece can't comprehend defeating your enemy with anything other than brute force? How expected."

"If you wish a demonstration, fox, I'd be happy to show you," Yato starts to materialize on your arms as he says this, to which Yameko responds with a playful swipe through the air.

"Yato, cut it out."

"Yameko, please cease antagonizing Yato."

"As you say," the fact that the two of them said that in unison doesn't seem to register to them.

"So, what does this mean, exactly?" you ask your bro, still kind of confused.

"It means that I could severely hurt Mondo Circuits, unless Yunagi pushes his father to get the school to rescind both your and Hose's Confinement. Or I could simply punish the corporation by completely ruining their business and making Yunagi lose everything."

Your brother goes silent for a few minutes. Before long you catch on to what he's waiting for; Your input.

Because this is still your problem. While he wants to help you with it, he won't act if you don't want him to. Hmm, you do want to get back at Yunagi...but the question is should you? What takes precedent here? Getting the Confinement undone for Hose and you, or making that punk pay for what he did?

[] You just want that Confinement gone. Contact Yunagi, and let's see if you can get him to back off.

[] Let's see how much of a brat this guy is when he doesn't have daddy's money anymore. Release the information to their rivals and watch his whole live burn.

[] No, you gotta be rational about this. Contact Yunagi and tell him you want to make a deal. And to show your serious, leak just enough information to not have it turn into a scandal and still severely hurt the stock of his company.

[] Have your bro hold for now. You need some time to think about this.

Do not do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you. In other words, get rekt biatch.

...I am seriously tempted to do this, really...

...But the way its presented, and Hayato's intentions with this option... It sounds way too out of character...

If someone has an argument about choosing the other, i'll honestly be happy to hear it.

@UNKNOWN01, Money laundering is not a serious crime, by itself. To launder money, Mondo would need a source of dirty money to launder. That dirty money could come from a lot of things from drugs to organized crime and those are usually much worse crimes than Money Laundering.

I just love the smell of blackmail in the morning.

[X] You just want that Confinement gone. Contact Yunagi, and let's see if you can get him to back off.

The Rationality choice feels like the best option, but the Confinement-banishing option feels more in-character. Hayato feels more like a passionate person than a rational one. Then again, we know that Yunagi won't just stop at detention, and wants to make both us and our friend suffer, so Hayato could be more on guard than he usually is.

As for the other options, ruining his life feels like a bit much and could herald either our descent to the dark side, or his if/when someone takes advantage of his desperation, and stalling doesn't feel like it'll help anyone.

...I would be lying if this option is not sounds good.

But if we do this, doesn't that mean we are just the same petty guy? And more since he merely inconvenience us while we about to flip his life?

So other option is needed :

[X] No, you gotta be rational about this. Contact Yunagi and tell him you want to make a deal. And to show your serious, leak just enough information to not have it turn into a scandal and still severely hurt the stock of his company.

While just bygone option is more moral, unfortunately people like him usually need some concrete proof before they "get it" unless you want a repeat performance, so this.

When dealings with guys like Yunagi you would need something to back up your threats. We are also currently trying to bring our Bro more emotionally developped so the only option here is....

[X] No, you gotta be rational about this. Contact Yunagi and tell him you want to make a deal. And to show your serious, leak just enough information to not have it turn into a scandal and still severely hurt the stock of his company.

I'm impressed QM, this is a great potential reversal of roles you've set up.

Our bro is the one getting angry and emotional here, and we are given the chance to be the logical voice of reason as well as to encourage or discourage our bro's rage. Very storytelling, much anime, so OOC is serious business. Wow.

[X] No, you gotta be rational about this. Contact Yunagi and tell him you want to make a deal. And to show your serious, leak just enough information to not have it turn into a scandal and still severely hurt the stock of his company.

I'll bite.

Edit: also a question, since we're gonna need to change up our style for matches, can Brawling be combined with MMA?

If the school has a gossip network (which I bet they do) I think rumors will spread if we do use this information to either changing/removing the punishment or ruining Mondo Circuits. Even if they don't believe we did it, we probably would still be talked about. And this is Animeverse, so what if damaging Mondo Circuits has some butterfly effects that we won't know of? Wouldn't put it past Yunagi to retaliate in some way too.

Also, I asked myself what Kamina would do, but all I got was a vision of him kicking ass.

Guys, what are the chances Yunagi's dad just sending assassins after us to keep our mouths shut? Bribing the government is not a small thing, they are very likely to be connected to organized crime to get 15 Billion Yen. And that amount of money is enough to kill someone for.

I am severely tempted to vote for the option that will give us the highest chance of still beating his face in, while strutting the blackmail over his head.

This is how we can start making 'Friends.'

That said though, the voting's definitely leaning towards the more rational side. Which, though not bad, is something I'm not entirely too keen on playing up. After all. Ruthless manipulation is a skill, and one best trained early.
