So, let's get Mental:Res 1 more training to get us to 37, which raises the cap on UMD and further increases our ability to stop mental shenanigans. I think we can all agree there.

Also, for Empathy, I think we should focus on raising either Motives or Feelings before moving on to the third skill, simply because having a high skill there is more valuable for piercing deceptions and understanding people than a broad skill-set, at least early on. Later, ofc All-50s are more valuable, but we're not there yet.

I also think there's merit in raising History, for Yato's sake, or Supernatural: The Who. We should train it with our brother to remove the malus.

As for the fourth, may as well raise Physical Resistance for the sake of Resistance parity? That's the best for UMD anyway.

We should aim to get physical training done because that way we'll have finally mastered the beginning UMD skills. If the trend continues it should give us a skill that increases mental res at the cost of physical. We may want to train soul too because apparently there is an all 20 bonus for each category.

I made a plan based on my previous post. Decided to do Motives because that's probably more immediately useful against Trickery users + gets our brother a higher individual Empathy skill too. History is because of Yato's past since 15 wasn't enough, and besides raising it is useful for school.

I did Resistance: Mental because it gets it to 37, which is above the 35 we need for the UMD cap raise. It also makes our mind more of a fortress, which is quite useful against mental-assaults. I raised Physical for parity, since UMD unlocks more techniques when we have our Resistance skills at roughly the same area.

Also, I vaguely recall Resistance All-20 to be a perk that existed?

Reader of Fate ended up with a plan similar to what I was going for, but I'd rather up Empathy: Interests considering we currently have it at literally zero. I understand wanting to specialise, but I'd rather have something in all three variants before deciding that.

In the future I want to raise Speech: Persuasion considering literally none of our three allies have it, and what kind of hot-blooded shounen character would we be if we couldn't bring people round to our way of thinking?

Dodge and/or some Perception would also be nice, but it can wait for now.

For the confrontation, we'd be much more likely to use UMD since that's an actual supernatural martial art, not a mundane one. That's why raising Resistance, the skill tree that backs UMD, is a great idea since it allows Hayato to use more supernatural techniques.

While I do think there's merit in mundane martial arts (Like Street Fighting or MMA) in mystical confrontations if it gets high enough + Tactics to mix it in, we don't have that yet.

Oh. Right, I suppose that's fair. Looking at the plan I made, the main thing that'd be useful there would be Resistance: Physical.

That being said, we could technically use the Unyielding Mountain against them, we'd just look like we'd be unusually powerful unless if we used the more blatantly supernatural techniques.
 
Yamato is the brains to our brute strength. We could be the fighter/tank of the team and focus on that aspect.

We need to up our MMA, for club, non-supernatural combat and in case of Yanagi. Our Mental Resistance is already at 29, and we gain +10s from both UMT and Yamato, so we're good in that front, so training Physical Resistance, since it is the lowest. Training our last Empathy skill with Yato, to make sure he gets points there as well. For last I thought about taking Intimidation, but we still have two skills to train to make sure we don't fail our classes, which is extra important since now we won't held away from classes by Yanagi's scheme, and I'd also like us to get to know Yameko better.
