It was the day after that when Mistletoe decided to go get her friend to bring to the hotel. In a fit of paranoia, you sent Rose after her as backup.

Forty-eight hours later, Rose came back with her hair and clothes covered in scorch marks, dragging Mistletoe over one shoulder.

"And this is why you don't fucking try to blow up cars!" Rose yelled, in the one time you'd seen someone get her legitametly angry. "There's always shit that goes wrong when you blow things up, and they were nearly in the ambush area, but nooo, you have to go 'oh I can take care of that paddy wagon' and then it cooks off and then KABOOM you idiot useless lesbian!"

"mrglbrg." Mistletoe muttered back.

Groaning, you looked at the two. "Any medical issues?"

"None. Also, Chris is behind us." Rose grumped, before slinging Mistletoe in a chair. "I'm gonna get a shower."

Good thing we sent backup. Though it wasn't what I was worried about, Mistletoe is still a little... green when it comes to handling things. She needs supervision.

Thoughts on this again for this week? No idea what the result will be as usual, but given we're going to be stuffing our rooms over-full it might help with that?

We reached the minimum number of contacts needed for it. Still missing that last ???.
I am happy to have eaten crow on this!
"Yeah." The younger, handsomer Goodyear muttered. "Word of advice, kid? Never, ever, fucking ever doubt someone who claims to be your fairy godmother. I gotta scram. If I hurry-" he said, shaking out a Nixie watch from under his coat, and squinting at the amber lamps "-I can make it to the train station and catch a boxcar to Washington DC. The filth of the politicians might help shake her off my trail."

"Good luck?" you opined, before Goodyear snuck off.
Uh, goodbye? That was abrupt.

My basic feeling is that no one gets special treatment. Just doubling up the new girls isn't going to buy that much space, and my goodness there's lots of them. The next option is just too many though. At that point they'll be tripping over each other in an emergency, and between the cold snap and the minor possible hell incursion, emergencies are going to be happening. Help as many as the building safely allows.

There is no gear we can build that will make a difference here, I feel. The Kolobok is too valuable to risk rushing into, we need to prep the damn workshop for it. There's going to be other emergencies after this. We need medical yes, but we need to do it right. Save it. Work on the building instead. That way we can have an extra room, or put time into setting up the temporary medical area. That's a surer thing anyway. Cots, bandages, get a girl to raid a pharmacy for painkillers and coagulants, hit up a hardware store for superglue. That's a much more solid plan then gambling on the Kolobok.

I honestly don't get the vibe that "safety margins" are going to be a huge thing for this quest. Would run pretty counter to the whole hobo crafting vibe.
It might be something, we don't know. Even if it wasn't I wouldn't go for the Kolobok this turn. Even if it doesn't blow up in our faces there's a good chance of just failing the research roll and having to do it again later. Which normally isn't super bad, but we've got super bad coming our way. I'd rather take the option we're sure to get something out of then risk a research roll right now.

The worst thing that can happen working on the building is only getting one new room out of it. On the better end is the possibility of a bunkhouse we can pack girls into for the emergency, or get better supplies for the temporary medical area. I don't know what the best possible outcome for the research roll is, though it's probably pretty amazing. But there's only a one in ten chance of that happening, and going off our last research roll, a fifty percent chance of getting nothing. So with trouble breathing down our necks, the option that only has positive possible outcomes is the sensible choice.

I have a question if we worked on the building would we get a room ready or a medical area or would it be something completely different to what we want

Wouldn't it be easier to make a temporary flophouse in a few rooms instead of trying to cram them in the hallways?

Let's be honest it will get bad at least if we do this some of the new magic girls get to live longer and the kolobok sound useful but we don't have a thing that can contain radioactive materials yet in case it goes wrong so that is a no and if we get an extra room sorted or a medical area we can save more lives plus are names medicine boy having a place where we can do stuff like a doctor could maybe increase our medical abilities

This is an all hands on deck sort of situation.

Going in with the understanding that this is temporary, bit will impact quality of life for a bit

I think it's worth a little tension to make sure we have enough rooms. We only have proper useable bedrooms for 6 people, and doubling that means room for 12. Plus it's not fair to favor older MGs during an emergency like this.

Personally, I'm split between research or setting up that bunkhouse. On one hand, the Kobolok could potentially reduce casualty rates significantly, on the other, the cold kills too. On the third, alchemically-grafted hand, I'm wondering if it's possible to bully politely ask some of the girls into setting it up in our stead, or perhaps get Homer to crank out more of those fire stones and get some tents set up somewhere nearby.

Yikes that's a lot of new MGs. And now we know what the big thing coming is.

Weren't we going to find out how the Masquerade works during the week 13 event? This is definitely going to spill over into the mundane world. All indications are that next week is going to be a total fustercluck. The question is do we make a Hail Mary pass with the kolobok for a healing system or make a go at setting up a new room.

...I almost want to craft this week, since that'll net us 3x potions, hopefully healing or something anti-demon.
