Magical Girl Home Base Quest

"Yes, Chief." She said, before diapering.
Just going to... snicker a bit here.

[X] Strange Red Stone, 5x Mundanes (Will result in ???, which will have 25% odds per item of becoming ??? or a T5 Trinket and 50% odds of becoming 10x Demonic Stuff after spending a turn to Research)
[X] Wand
-[X] Write in Level, between 1 and 1.
[X] Yes (Gets Sophia the Mistletoe, a new Magical Girl. May not be able to make rent.)

I see. So more like we're in the prologue now? In that case withdrawn, more important to get our feet firmly underneath us.

More like I've decided to handle major story arcs around certain points in the calendar so that the math on certain things checks out. You meet an average of one new girl a week, for instance, and at any given time you'll have one of six girls take a medical loss (since a nat 1 with protection just means the girl has a half-week effective instead of a full week) and have a secret formula chance of making a major Discovery. With another 8 weeks, you should be well prepared as a character and as players.

So guys, I'm going to say this now:

We want Bombs going into Week 13. One at the least.

The ship has sailed on this vote (and a Tier 3 Wand or Tier 5 Trinket are both great outcomes) but when our GM is signalling we have a big epic Chapter End moment coming up? That's what the big single use items are for.
Bombs should come AFTER they have a complete kit, so that the bombs are actually used on bomb-worthy things rather than being used because its either that or bare hands.

Kinda hoping for Red Stone of Aja memes myself

Now I'm wondering if Wands can come in glove-form. (Because why shoot your enemies when you can punch them instead?)

Hopefully!

As for Bombs, I think that waiting for a full kit for everyone may be impractical, but I see the argument for sure. I just think it's something that's going to be tempting to neglect, but we shouldn't.

Just been rereading the thread to keep my mind off global pandemic stress and picked up a few tidbits from earlier:

"Creating homonuculi, summoning demons, consorting with devils and witches, raising the dead, tomb raiding, being fucking Nazis… lots of shit."

This is what the alchemists were described as being up to in the first update. No real specifics, but interesting hints as to maybe Week 13 plot, now that we know there is a plot.
"Only when you stop treating explosives like the solution to every known problem in the world, Eowyn."

Eowyn likes bombs (this is mentioned a couple other times).
"You make tools?" Trompdoy asked, grinning. "Can you make transformation trinkets?"

"I'd like a new illusion amulet too." Trompdoy mentioned helpfully. "And a few healing potions.

We may have cleaned Trompdoy out, but she wants trinkets and 'bombs'.
Pitty. I need a new wand something fierce."
Calypso still needs a new wand (surprising no one). Sadly I think she's cleaned out of resources to pay us.

Per the spreadsheet, Scrolls are different than Bombs and only Homer can make them.

We've basically managed to avoid fulfilling any of the magical girls' verbally expressed requests by virtue of putting out fires as they come. I'm curious if there would be any bonus for doing so - a lot of games with this sort of crafting/selling mechanic would give you an extra reward if you matched a customer's preference. On the other hand, it might be pure flavor.

Eowyn hasn't bought anything from us so likely has the most goods to actually buy our next item on offer, if we want to prioritize.

Outfitting Mistletoe is going to suck: if she can't make rent, she can't afford our good gear.

Also, Trissa was in the planning session for the base assault so she was alive at that point.

[X] No, you want to improve your workshop instead.

I don't think we should prioritise Eowyn, though, because the true reason we have for making them pay is so that we have have enough to make more things, and to keep this place running. Like, we do what we do, and all our choices so far, have been to help them, the price we can get on it mostly a secondary concern. Also, Mistletoe will probably pay us rent with work, and the same can be true for anything she would "buy", which might make her the closest girl to us, probably could even make her a guard or security of the place.

If we're thinking about a girl to help out around here, I'd go for Calypso. She's great at doing a lot with a little, and sounds like she has crafting experience. If we want to start making more stuff, we should trying training her in how to do it.

They just raided an alchemist base. We know that Trompdoy&Eowyn picked up some stuff that they're NOT giving us for rent. It wouldn't surprise me if Calypso has some loot she could trade too; she just already agreed to buy the trinket with work and the witch stuff.

Totally unrelated to current discussion, but I do need to do a coin flip for this quest.
7734 threw 1 2-faced dice. Total: 2
2 2

My quest, so I roll the dice. First poster in the gate systems tend to produce a lot of trouble and grumbling, with the possibility of users deleting votes to cheat the system. Not things I want in my quests.
Sorry I thought you were asking the thread for the coin flip. I'll delete my roll if you want

No, I don't honestly care that you rolled a dice in error. The issue is you deleting it, and therefore putting a hole in the record of the thread. You post here, as fare as I'm concerned it stays here.

So how long before we have to start worrying about gribblies attacking us?
