Seriously, with the way this worked out it is like they are delibrately trying to completely eliminate the hyuuga clan, when they are members of said clam
They weren't trying to eliminate the clan, only Hiashi, and Hinata.

And only 5 kids were rigged. everyone else was barricaded into the west wing of the compound with enough seals to stop most of everything that the coup people could throw at them. So they were ignored, and everything was okay in the end.

Minato should pay us for fuck sake. We are literally pointing out National's Security flaws before our enemies do and indirectly making them work harder.
These aren't National Security Flaws, these are us being excessively good at spotting hiding people. They aint bad, we are good.
Really Shirou? Really?
I mean, technically teh only thing we did was have overhear their whispers, and point out hidden ANBU.
[]You had debriefed the Hokage of the incident: Because you were caught in the crossfire, you had to deliver a verbal report.
As it has been said in the chap, it's none of his business. As in ninja business. He, as head of state, can get the report from our clan head. As is proper.

[]You were with the team, eating leftovers: due to the fact that the Delegation left early, Auntie Hana gave you all the leftovers as a reward. Now if only the ANBU stopped stealing the bacon.
Sadly this option does not seem to have Kakashi in it (probably still snoring) so that kills most of my interest in it. Also, suddenly "competent"!ANBU seems strange considering the story so far.
The Coup is "none of his business", but the incident with the Kumo is. We didn't just escort them out of there, we also accused them of conspiracy of kidnapping.

They are always competent, we are just REALLY good at spotting people. Plus, we are still spotting them, we just ain't able to slap their hands away in time.

well yeah, but throwing youselves at jounin, riggin some children to explode, and trusting the foreign ninja not to go poking around the raea that was closed off for them is not an ideal survival strategy.

"Throwing yourselves at jounin" is rather unavoidable if you want said jounin dead

I mean, it was only meant to go off after they died, and was fairly likely to work on a tired Hiashi. And in the Clan Member's opinion, death is preferable to slavery.

For the last part, I guess they planned it for that night before they learned that Kumo was coming and weren't willing to wait any longer after they learned.

[x]You escorted the delegation out of Konoha: Those boys were now terrified of you… somehow… for some reason… you didn't actually know why.

They probably saw it as cutting off a rotten branch to save the whole tree...which they weren't wrong to do. They just missed precisely which part was the rotten bit. Now the Tree can work towards really healing itself.

@Magoose Speaking of healing rifts, is there a reason Hiashi hasn't just had the new seal placed on himself and Hinata? He could even do it alongside some Branch children as a show of unity. Plus it will hopefully nip any future attempts at stealing the Byakugan in the bud.

[X]You had debriefed the Hokage of the incident: Because you were caught in the crossfire, you had to deliver a verbal report.

We're the only eyewitness to Kumo trying to break in to a very high security Hyuuga site, plus the Head Ninja mentioned quite a few possibly incriminating tidbits like an alliance with Rain that may not be known/confirmed yet and the Raikage paying them to steal from Konoha.

To be honest, I'm starting to think this Head Ninja guy was chosen as representative not out of any skill but because he was just that expendable.

He was actually planning to do that when Hinata turns 3. But shit got real far before he had a chance to do that.

TBF... What they said was common knowledge in regards to diplomatic alliances.

And the Raikage was paying them to be diplomats, and they were acting in that capacity for the entirity of the time there. Ironically enough they have diplomatic immunity to the several crimes they did commit, enough to where they can and will walk away from this scot-free... if not maybe a reprimand from Minato saying that any diplomatic party containing these ninjas will be killed on sight.

Hey, I'm operating on several layers of, "okay, you tried, but you got caught and failed, so get the fuck out of my country" rules.

A wanted to remove a troublesome rival without getting his hands dirty. He thought someone would kill him.

Obviously he's still alive.

Poor A, he's just not getting what he wants, at all.

[X]You were in the Prison: You wanted to tell these people how disappointed you were with them. And how you no longer saw them as family.

Avengers style shawarma ending. Sounds good to me.

Just gonna go see these guys one more time to rub salt in the wound before we never see them again, cause chances are they ain't ever getting out. What actions do you think we should do training and social wise next turn?

Sage, ninja politics is weird. "You are getting off with no punishments. However, as a reprimand, if we ever see your faces again, we will kill you." They've effectively been banished from Leaf.

It's basically meant to humiliate them, I believe. "I'm so unthreatened by you, I'm not even going to do anything to you." While not appearing completely clawless, in the promise to kill him if they meet again.

To me, it seemed more like a loophole. Diplomatic immunity is apparently pretty powerful in Ninja land, so Minato can't punish them outright. However, while diplomatic immunity is surprisingly broad, "punishment" is surprisingly narrow, and things like conditional kill orders apparently don't count.

So do you think things will be relatively calm in Shrio's personal life for the next couple of turns after this is all over? I mean I know it will still be exciting as we are going to be training and probably poking around to see what pilot wants but do you think there will be another event like this?

Yes.

*Decides to tempt fate*

Zabuza would be a challenge, but honestly, I think we can take him if the team sticks together.

In order to reach the same amount of "we are in way over our heads", Pain would need to show up.

Or Black Zetzu could decide that he's pissed at us for ruining his plans and decides to kill us directly.

Or the Otsutsuki clan could wonder why the most powerful Byakugan in a millennium has suddenly manifested itself on a planet that should have been harvested already.
