The Hyuga Incident Part Four: Everybody Wants to Rule the World!

"Itachi, Futaba, take them all to the Hokage tower and tell the secretary there is a code red in the Hyuga compound, assumed infiltrators, and a coup d'etat of established head and family, and village ninja are in the crossfire, along with international ninja at play, but tell them not to send a quick reaction team to stop the fighting, tell them to lock down the compound and district so the fighting doesn't spread to the village."

Futaba was floored. "What! Why the hell would you not want help from the Hokage?

You gritted your teeth, but Itachi understood clearly. "The Hokage can't get involved in Clan Politics, and the fighting hasn't left the Hyuga Grounds. At this moment this is an internal Clan matter… Shiro is well within his legal rights to tell us to leave and prepare a containment."

Futaba raised an eyebrow. "That's stupid!"

"Futaba, this is not stupid... This is a Hyuga clan matter. We'll settle this ourselves." You said robotically. You looked at the children… They were frightened, terrified and confused for the last few minutes. "If you wish to fight, you have that choice… or you can leave."

The children went behind Itachi like he was a protective wall. "Very well." You stated. You turned to Hinata and Neji. "Stay with the team until I, Kakashi, Hana or Hiashi come and retrieve you."

"But-" Neji protested.

You glared at him. "I am giving you an order as your brother, who wants to keep you safe! Do as you are told!"

You then knelt down and gave him a hug. "Protect Hinata." You then let go, and walked back to the compound, activating your eyes to make sure no one was trying to give chase.

Thankfully, no one was stupid enough to do that. They were too busy trying to secure areas of little importance and try to take down two jounin and a housewife.

Said housewife may not have been a ninja, but she was still a Hyuga mother. They were as frightening as the Uchiha ones… the only difference was the Hyuga were more likely to stop your heart with a poke instead of burning you alive for threatening their children.

And at this moment, the two father figures of your life at this very moment were… kicking serious amounts of ass.

So that left you with one thing to worry about.

The delegation that stupidly left their room when it was possibly the safest room in the entire compound.

They were fools or were trying to benefit from further negotiations against Konoha. Either way, they were out of their room… and needed to be evacuated from the premises.

Thankfully, you were able to reach them rather quickly, and with little obstacles.

"Come on! Open the fucking door." one of the guards shouted as he tried to bring it down. The seal was doing its job, and doing it well… because they could not get in.

"Hello." You said quietly as you stood behind them. "There is a bit of a clan coup going on right...I'm here to escort you to safety."

"Like hell you are!?" The head ninja of Kumo shouted in rage. "You bastards are trying to kill us!"

"I haven't attacked you have I? So you are wrong on that account," you stated calmly. "And everyone who might attack you is currently attacking my uncle, his wife, and my sensei… people who will not go down easily."

You checked with your Byakugan that the fight was still going on. In fact it was… and dear lord. There were a lot of bodies on the ground. Dead or alive, you didn't know, but the bodies were hitting the floor.

Arguments: 1D100 => 94+10 (Gregarious)+10(Dilligent)+10=114 vs 1D100 => 29+20 (Experienced ninja)+50 (Wanting to Cause an International incident)=99

"Boy's we're following the kid outta here." The head ninja stated.

"Boss, what about the mission?" one of the other guards asked.

"The mission went FUBAR the moment we tried to strong-arm the Hokage and got a worse deal out of it than with Rain." The head ninja stated. "A isn't paying us enough to get involved in a civil war and die pointlessly."

You smiled. "Good, follow me. If you need a snack, we'll run by the kitchen."

One of the guards made a sound. "I'd really like one of those egg, custard tart things we had for dessert." The head ninja looked at his subordinate. "Never mind."

Getting caught: 1D100 => 78 vs 1D100 => 7

It was a great thing that you chose another route to lead the delegation out of the compound. Like seriously… Was every one of the people trying to coup the clan going after a known Jounin in your uncle, and a certified living legend, the next fucking White Fang… instead of doing other things like securing hostages, and stopping you from rescuing the delegation?

By the gods, this coup was fucking terrible. What a joke it was... You could have done it better by yourself, and you're a genin for goodness sake!

No, incompetence was the better word for it… But then again, it was the Branch Family… Good ninja and all-seeing eyes they may have… but common sense was a rare gift.

Then again, common sense seemed to be a Rare gift in Konoha. At least among its ninja population.

You blamed the lack of mental health service and The Third Hokage for gutting it.

Everyone else in the village blamed Danzo for such a measure.

You had no idea if Danzo killed the mental health services of Konoha, those files weren't declassified yet… but considering the rumors surrounding him… it wouldn't surprise you if he did kill it.

Maybe blaming Danzo for the village's problems wasn't such a far fetched thing to do after all.

But you digressed.

The three men followed you as you ran out of the compound with little in the way of questions or… well any sound actually.

"Should we just take the kid?" One of the men whispered.

"You know I can hear you right? And could stall you until the ANBU show up." You quipped.

You saw the ANBU before they saw you… and they must have known it was you because they lowered their heads in shame. "Hello, gentlemen."

"Ehem." A female voice came from one of them.

"You all look the same in uniform." You pointed to the Three Delegates. "Please escort them to the Hokage's tower, and prevent them from leaving. They are unharmed and have not done anything illegal… though they did admit to conspiracy to kidnap Hyuga children… I think their diplomatic immunity covers that... I don't know, so don't be too rough with them."

The three delegates were amazed by the calm and connectedness that you had. "Now, gentlemen, please follow them… and please do not do anything stupid, the village is on high alert and there are five other ANBU ready to kill you at a moment's notice." You pointed to the hiding ANBU.

You could see the ANBU facepalm as you revealed such things. All of them looked ashamed of themselves.

"STOP REVEALING OUR LOCATIONS!" One of the ANBU snapped.

"Stop being terrible at hiding from me and I won't!" You responded.

The delegates were still very confused. But they followed the ANBU without hesitation or question.

"Thanks kid." The Female ANBU stated.

"Your welcome, now excuse me, I have some trash to take out." You stated.

Casualty Count (Friendly's): A Chakra Exhausted Kakashi.

You walked into the main room flanked by Two ANBU who were not trying to hide at all. "Uncle, some kind ANBU are asking if you need some assistance?"

Your uncle nodded. "Is the delegation safe?" He asked.

"They tried to kidnap some Branch children, but they couldn't do that, and they were escorted from the premises and placed into ANBU custody." You stated.

Hiashi nodded. "This coup is over, I am requesting for the ANBU to place them into village custody so that they may stand trial for their crimes against the clan."

The ANBU nodded and said nothing.

You sighed. "Kakashi looks chakra exhausted… you want me to take him home?"

Auntie Hana nodded. "Please, as much I enjoyed his company tonight in defending our home… there is such a thing as too much of a good thing. He destroyed my drapes, and I really don't want to kill him while he's down."

You sighed. "Yes Auntie."

You picked up half of Kakashi and said. "Come on, I'm bringing you home."

Kakashi snored all the way to his apartment. And as much as you wanted to take off his mask… it wasn't satisfying if you took it down while he was unconscious.

What did you do next:

[]You escorted the delegation out of Konoha: Those boys were now terrified of you… somehow… for some reason… you didn't actually know why.

[]You had debriefed the Hokage of the incident: Because you were caught in the crossfire, you had to deliver a verbal report.

[]You were with the team, eating leftovers: due to the fact that the Delegation left early, Auntie Hana gave you all the leftovers as a reward. Now if only the ANBU stopped stealing the bacon.

[]You were in the Prison: You wanted to tell these people how disappointed you were with them. And how you no longer saw them as family.
