The Morrsley Village Experiment

Sorry, forgot.
[X] null Nictis.

Ok, but meme votes aside. Wow Shadell why are you lynching me, gonna give a reason? That's actually weird and also why are you looking to null today? Maybe I could see it if we lynch no one ever. Why do we have to lynch anyone? He said the experiment had an end date. Can we not just not lynch anyone and everyone gets to live?
Like true facts is this a possible game dynamic??
To avoid giving role information, I'm going to rephrase this in a way that might sound mean dood.

"Let's just not play the game, dood"

It's a leading reason I think a null might be on the table.
I can confirm that 2 is wrong, that 4 is just usual GM practice, and that 6 is basically describing mafia dood!

How can you confirm that 2 is wrong exactly?

Ok, that's a fair point. I didn't mean it like that. I just meant... That he said we got to leave in a month.. which we can't do if we are dead. And that we have no reason to turn on one another. Unless you know something I don't.

It's a leading reason I think a null might be on the table.

Why are you voting for me then?

... Alright, dropping the in character stuff for a second here.

We almost always are going to want to lynch people. It's how we get information and pressure people into taking stances. I have a good sized post on that here, and while it doesn't say to always lynch Day 1, it does say that it's something you don't want to be trying to argue for at the start of the Day.

@Shadell We can figure out the meme around null lynching when we actually don't have anyone we want to lynch, instead of just throwing the Day away at the start of it let's focus on playing the game.
@ondine For one, that's already been done. See The Rumor. For another, the experiment has been said to go for a month. If we take that seriously, that's a hundred and fifty days of IRL time, and that's if it's even right.

Gonna go back to being a prinny after this, but I wanted to clarify why I'm nipping this in the bud.

As to why I voted for you @ondine, no vote right now is really meaningful and your name was on the page. Even if I like the idea of a null tentatively due to the unknowns and meme rules, I think the process of cycling through content generation on D1 is still useful in terms of what it might turn up for later or what pressure the right way might reveal.

I acknowledged this in the initial post:

That said, I'm not entirely convinced on this. I think it's worth keeping in the back of our minds, but any real decision that way should likely be made toward the end of the day, when we've at least discussed through other possible lynches to some serious extent; however, it may make sense if anyone has things to share in this direction to hold a conversation that way in parallel.

My point here is that working on the meme rules in paralel to lynching is playing the game, in contrast to a set-up where we have no reason to think on this.

I'm not going to start bleeding info thirty minutes into the game dood!

You already have though, so you might as well commit. Until then, this is the most suspicious, since you're clearly claiming to know something privileged about the set-up.

I think you're reading too much into it dood. Look at what 2 was dood!
2. Or rather, it's possible that factions are permeable. It's possible you might start scummy and be saved by your ice-cream as the game moves on. It's possible the reverse might happen, it's possible that everyone's ice-cream color actually mostly just matches their role color. It's possible it's all a red herring and it is just a weird joke, but I doubt that.
like to point out that if we lynch everyday, we can get out in 12 days instead of a month
Already admitting to be a serial lyncher dood?

You mean one person could. Presumably. And that's assuming no one does any other way. Also this level of bloodlust seems a bit much. So are you volunteering?

Also, my question is: what is the experiment?

Anyone know anything about what we are a part of? Are we being tested? What's going on? And does it have to do with ice cream?

Should we be eating the ice cream we received?

Now, Now calm your ham there Ondine. I was just making an observation based on the kind of experiment we are in

We'll probably find out as soon as the night phase begins.

Interesting observation dood.

If there are thirteen people, and twelve die, who said that one could leave dood?
That's an excellent point. We were told anyone trying to leave before the experiment concluded would be shot. Are you saying the experiment would end with just one person left? How do you know?

I think you're reading too much into it dood. Look at what 2 was dood!

You claimed definitive knowledge that 2 was wrong. When asked to clarify you said, not that 2 was an incredibly implausible wild shot in the dark, but that revealing how you know would be leaking info. When this was pointed out, you've now back to pointing out (rightly) that 2 was something of an incredibly implausible wild shot in the dark.

I get that you don't want to reveal anything yet, but to all appearances, you've slipped having privileged knowledge about a game mechanic and then backpeddled.

Or that definitively stating either way would be giving out info dood!

Im just making observations, im most likely wrong on them all but what do I know, im just a fool

But more seriously dood

Look at 2, what is the only thing I could know is wrong dood?
