I have to label this semi canon, if only because of two things:A Blade and an Heir (Kakashi Omake)
You have been ruminating over what to do about the repair of the White Chakra Sabre. Normally, if you had children, you would have your heir watch the process, but you have sworn against having children – even got a vasectomy, with Minato-sensei's reluctant blessing, at a really young age, along with a seal the same made for you that will keep you from getting your genetic material stolen, the vasectomy reversed without your consent, from simply getting unlucky and getting someone pregnant anyway or from getting your secrets (or the Sharingan's) stolen after death.
You can have Shadow Clones serve as your assistants, but you can't lie to yourself, not about this – you have already decided. You know that this action will announce to all and sundry that Shiro Hyuga is your heir, not just your apprentice, but this child has saved you from your darkness; his charisma, intelligence and talent are through the roof, a child like that is likely to go far. Most importantly, he is empathetic; he knows how to listen, and how to heal a soul. 'I hate people being left alone; they deserve someone to be with them,' he said, and, 'I just want to help people'. He is a meddler in the best way possible.
Without guidance, though, this rotten world will chew him up and kill him, or turn him into a horrible caricature of himself – that is one reason you offered to make him your apprentice. Another is that you want to be part of his success. You know it's selfish of- no. You won't go there. You are slowly learning that doing things for yourself is natural, as long as you are not affecting anyone else negatively – you are not going back to the person who was slowly killing himself so that he could see his family and friends! Back to the matter of the blade, you intend to make Shiro your heir, and will treat him as such.
-----
As you reforge the steel, you let yourself be carried by the song of the blade; the lyrics that call for you, and all of its rightful wielders, to take it and become its avatars of death and destruction. At some point late in the process, you realize that Shiro can hear the song; he doesn't actually tell you, but to someone who knows the signs, it's glaringly obvious – it only took you so long because you were too busy with the reforging process.
Your lips curve upwards a bit; the blade has accepted him, and you only have to make things official. Once you are no longer fit for duty, or dead, Shiro is going to inherit this blade, along with the rest of your possessions except a few bequests for Gai. You are not alone. That is what Shiro, your apprentice, your heir, has taught you. By the end, Shiro has fallen asleep – you wake him up and say, "thank you".
"For what? I didn't do anything...?" He replies.
"For being here," you tell him, "it's enough," and there is just so much meaning packed in those few words, even though your expression has barely changed….
I have to label this semi canon, if only because of two things:
1. Kakashi doesn't know if he should make us Heir to his titles yet.
2. Kakashi does not have a vasectomy (yet). He also donated some of his material to the hospital to make sure they have some so that people can't claim his shit by pretending to be a bastard.
However, +10 to the rolls due to a great omake.
I love it: +10 to the rolls. The Branch Genius.
For a clan that seems to be all about tradition and formality, an outsider would be rather shocked to learn that they are the biggest gossip mongers Konoha. Their eyes helped them keep track of basically everything that happened in Konoha, so whenever drama happens you can be sure a Hyuga saw it. Everything from romantic misadventures, to heated arguments, to the achievements of children were game for hushed whispers over tea
A popular topic for discussion for the last few years had been a kinda disappointing one. The Heads Nephew, a genius born without use of his arms, without the ability to make use of his birth right. His Father refused to accept this, and proceeded to expend all of his savings attempting to cure his son, moving to spending all his time doing missions once his savings ran out.
"Did you hear about Shirou?" Natsu asked her husband while they were enjoying evening tea.
"No. Has he done something?" He asked, maniqured eye brow raised in interest.
"His arms began working again! Hizashi can't stop talking about him, saying he'll be the next Nezah." She groused, eyes rolling as she recalled Hizashis excitement.
"Did one of the treatments finally work? Who gave it?" He asked, setting his tea down curious who succeeded where everyone else failed.
"No, they just started working one day, like nothing was wrong!" She explained. Seeing her husbands skeptical look, she continued "I'm pretty sure it's true, no ones been acting like they were ordered to keep quiet."
He adopted a thoughtful look. "Hmm, that is the way life is. Sometimes there are mysteries that can't be answered, even by us."
"Did you hear what happened with Shirou?" Tokuma asked his friend after training.
"His arms are working now, right?" Hoheta replied as he went through his cool down stretchs.
"No, that's old news. He activated his eyes, you won't believe his range." Tokuma said with a playful grin.
Hoheta straightened up, interested. "Did he manage a mile? Two?"
With a smile, Tokuma replied "Try twenty."
Surprised, all Hoheta could reply was. "What?"
Tokuma nodded. "Yeah."
Hoheta wiped the the sweat from his brow. "... Wow. He's gonna be something."
" And then he said 'Why would anyone want to be with you?'" "No!" "Yes!" "I wish I could have seen the look on her face."
Elderly Hana and Fu were busily knitting the day away while they talked, fingers flashing through the motions with amazing speed and dexterity honed over their previous lives as ninja.
"Oh, that reminds me. Shirou-" Hana began, only to be cut off by Fu groaning.
"Oh, don't get me started on that boy. It's all Hizashi can talk about. 'My genius boy' this, and 'My genius boy' that. I'm sick of hearing about him! That boy might have a good nut in his noggin, but he's too lazy to use it! Ike almost has to tie that boy down to get him to train for even twenty minutes!"
"Now now Fu," Hana replied "The boy is only four. It's natural for him to want to play around, enjoy his youth."
"Pah. By his age, you and I were already in the Academy! We trained and practiced most of the day!" Fu retorted.
"And you hated every moment of it. You wanted to do nothing but play in the flower garden." Hana came back with a smile, which Fu could only reply with a 'Hmph'.
After a few moments, Hana continued "What I was GOING to say, was apparently the boy has really made an impression with not just the Uchiha Heir, but with Lord Hokage's student."
Intrigued, Fu turned to her. "Really? Is that boy finally coming out of his funk?"
Hana nodded "Seems like it. He's also moved in with that 'Rival' of his." You could hear the quotation marks around Rival.
Fu smiled approvingly "About time. Has his choice in reading material improved at all?"
Hana frowned and shook her head. "No, it's still deplorable. Someone should slip him some better stuff, perhaps finally cause those two boys to stop being so foolish."
Fu hummed thoughtfully. "I know some good novels, but I'm not as nimble as I used to be. There's no way I'd be able to slip it into his possessions."
"I could get my grandson." Hana volunteered. "He's been getting rather quick, and he owes me some favors."
The two matrons began to cackle evily as they formed their diabolical plans.
Three things
- You will not find bigger gossip mongers than the Hyuga. Or bigger shippers.
- This is our father
- I'm bad at names
Oh sweet, canon omake. I love that my headcanon for our clan being gossip mongers and our dad being a unable to stop gushing about us at every opportunity is now accepted canon.

your vote needs to be in its own lineProbably not going to win but I don't want to be ANYWHERE near obito until we can at LEAST get Jiraiya going at all out against us [X]Kakashi-sensei: He was at the Hokage's office, with a group of ANBU with him… and then everyone froze, and you were grabbed and told to run.
I've said it over and over again... I'm not going to kill you unless you really fuck this roll-up....we are sooo fucked. We barely trained and the last-last-last-last boss has already appeared before us.
I said we are fucked, not dead. We may not die (yet) but I doubt with a passion we are getting out of this unscratched, or even mildly scratched for this matter. Obito is...certainly lacking in the mercy department considering what he plans to do with his old master's wife. And his village. And his own clan. And everyone else not named Rin.I've said it over and over again... I'm not going to kill you unless you really fuck this roll-up.
But that's impossible due to those roll bonuses.
Oh well, a little to late to help ya, but +10 to the next rolls.Full Disclosure : AKA "Mom? Dad? I'm a robot."
When you awoke, you moved your hands up to cover your face.
That's what it felt like… It felt...beautiful.
It also meant, that that dream was not just a dream. You are... were? You were a Robot, in a previous life. An Artificial Intelligence of a much more advanced society. And that part of you isn't gone, it's still here, watching, thinking, calculating. It locked away your arms, hoping to force you into the life of a non-combatant. You managed to convince it to return to you your use of your arms, but on the condition that you must do your best to remain safe.
... This is something you need to tell Mommy and Daddy. So you stood yourself up, a task made much easier with use of your arms, and walked to your parents bedside.
You looked at them, saw Fathers tired and hagged form, and hesitated. He worked very hard trying to pay for your treatments, the least you could do is let him sleep, right?
No, this was something they needed to know. Decision made, you reached out and gentle shook them. They were awake in an instant, scanning the room for danger before focusing on you. "Shirou, what-" Your mom began before noticing your arms on your fathers arm.
You nod at her unasked question "My arms work again." Next thing you know you are swept up in a hug by your mother and father, hugging you tight enough you had difficulty breathing. Once they loosened enough for you to speak clearly, you continued "I'm a robot."
They paused before gently depositing you on the floor and looking intently at you. "What was that Shirou?" your father asked.
"While I was asleep, I found myself in an ancient facility. In my Soul. Inside it was an entity which introduced itself as a medical artificial intelligence. I named it Atlas. " You recount.
Your parents have both activated their Byakugan and are scrutinizing you deeply. "And is this... Atlas, still there, deary?" Your mother asked worriedly.
You nod. "He is charged with keeping me alive. He locked away my arms, hoping to keep me safe as a non-combatant. I've convinced him that I'm safer with my arms than without, though he'll remove them again if he feels that I'm being reckless."
Your parents looked incensed, but your mother managed to maintain a calm tone. "And do you know where he came from?"
"He IS me. I am his reincarnation, I think, and his conciousness stayed even after death."
Your parents shared a look, having a silent conversation, before they both turned back to you with smiles. "We can deal with that later. For now, it's time to celebrate."
AN : Something that probably didn't happen but should have.
Yeah, saw the update right after I hit post.Oh well, a little to late to help ya, but +10 to the next rolls.
Sorry bout that.
No problem. It had to come out eventually.
"I'm shutting down your arms… He will kill if you fight back." Atlas stated, and your arms went limp.
Obito's eye widened in surprise. "What happened to you Kakashi? Wheres the man that sees only the mission?"
"Time passed Obito." He walked towards him. "I'll make this quick."
"So will I." Kakashi-sensei stated.
