On the topic of the sanctions, they were useful in the beginning, because we had to respond to the attack in some way and we didn't want to start an open war.

In terms of benefit, all they were good for was to appease Asgard without annoying Thanos enough to start another war, before we were ready.

Thor, however, already responded to our sacking with a sacking of his own. The score is in effect even. I imagine if we were dealing with anyone other than Thanos, much of the thread would be willing to call the matter settled and broker some kind of peace.

In fact, it seems that the main argument for keeping sanctions is the fear of retaliation from Thor.

I'm not sure that's worth another war so soon. We just finished that multi-page battle.

Will Loki apologize for Thor's attack?
[] Yes.

Will Loki lift sanctions?
[] "Lifting them so soon would be suspicious, but my brother attacking your people shames me... I'll reduce it for now, and it'll officially be due to sympathizing with the unexpected attack on your people. The rest your people have to 'earn', so I have an official reason to remove the rest of it."

To the people voting "Yes, and ask if he... killed or crippled anyone" that is so damn stupid. OF COURSE he killed and maimed people. He killed and maimed many people, hence Thanos is having this conversation with us.

If Thor didn't attack we could have asked to study the mind stone in a trade for removing reparations.

Then we could have used it to build a super computer AI defense matrix.
Thanos isn't stupid he would never give that to us, plus a person is playing Thanos. Anyway to avoid a civil war because we made this decision I say we make a Black ops division for Thor.

@KnowledgeKing Can we have an option to talk to Thor about him creating a deniable Black ops division for him to attack Titain with? Exile him give him money to hire people, insecure Asgards hand in it, supply him with safehouse. Etc

Does not help that Thor repeatedly goes against the current King of Asgards wishes and even disrespects Loki. Empowering Thor further just seems like a horrible idea.
King regent actually and only because Thor decided not to take crown, if Odin dies Thor will still be crown prince and thus future King. Also be careful not to push it to much with him, Loki was not appointed by Odin to be regent and last thing we want is Thor challenging us which he as Crown prince has legitimacy to do.

Um... My brain can't comprehend this.
Is Loki's reputation that bad? Thor, who wasn't here for the 'sacking' or has done anything in the last 5 years, is still more reputable than him?

Thor the super strong macho warrior in a warrior society. Yeah.

You can try. It's not Thor's style though.

When Thor gets captured Thanos read his memory and see Loki's actions.

Exile him, give him only some money for food and shelter, and let him form his own Guardians of the Galaxy team.

For those of you voting to keep the sanctions, can you clarify what Titan has to do in order to "earn" their lifting?

That's the first question Thanos will ask.

A multi-page battle that was worth A LOT of points from everyone who went up to eleven to write Omakes. We reached, what, at least 100 points to reach our result. We fucking earned it, and it's not two dumbasses (well, the other is simply insane) who are going to cause another mess when we barely started cleaning the former.
For now dealing with Thor may be easier than the crazy purple sack, though I'm pretty much expect us to resolve that by beating him (pretty much unlikely) and tell him to behave.
And to those saying that Thor is in the wrong here because attacking innocents is wrong, I'll say this: FUCK THANOS!!!! He is king. A king's actions will reflect on them, their nation and will decide their future. No matter what "I only used mercenaries" third-rate crappy excuse he might use, he doesn't have the fucking right to act like he shouldn't in any kind of logical way not expect this to happen, innocent bystanders or not. That's the shitty part of war you fucktard, the poor smucks called "innocents" will always be caught in the crossfire. Always. And you were the smart dumbass who pulled the trigger first.
Keep that in mind. Not saying that we shouldn't be reasonable here, since a king's actions reflect the nation and we don't want war, but he really should remember that the next time he tries to "teach" someone. We shouldn't pull back the others everytime he provokes them.

What if Thanos lying about Thor? No physical evidence?

Could have used mind stone to see what Thor was like and made a believable story.

People aren't answering, how do we the regent banish the martially superior well liked crown prince of Asgard? The army and his friends won't help, Amora won't help because she doesn't want to lose her popularity and Loki is martially weak. As soon as we try Thor just says he wants to be king and Bam we lose the kingdom. Not to mention we are Frost giant and that is a thicking time bomb.

@KnowledgeKing why wouldn't Thor go for the Black ops action? If we explain that it is to protect the people and Asgard why wouldn't he go for it?

@Nystical you underestimate Thor, we give him something on the level of storm breaker he will kill Thanos.

@KnowledgeKing: Will Thanos understand that when we say "earn", we really just want to avoid looking suspicious to our own people? That, effectively, we're willing to remove the remaining sanctions and we just need a good excuse for our people to accept.

[X] Thanos of Titan, I cannot hope to understand the way your mind works. I may apologize for Thor's acts, but I refuse to remove the sanctions until the king and queen have been resuscitated. Only then will my business withdraw the sanctions. You hope to teach me a lesson? Then let me teach you one. Pain begets pain.

Literally we should just ask for mutual apology and say we are even.

Thanos isn't going to acknowledge he did anything wrong, at most he'll be "regrettable but it had to be done". So asking for an apology just wouldn't work, or at worst will even make him angry because to him only Thor did anything wrong.
