@KnowledgeKing can we enchant some thin (perhaps fingerless) gloves to be resistant to slashing (for grabbing and parrying sharp stuff) and reduce the stress to our hands if we punch stuff like boxing/kick boxing gloves?

Yeah I suppose just rings of a better material for enchanting. Or are perhaps forged with additional magic sealed inside or something to enhance an enchantment placed upon it. Just wondering if that is possible.
Second question: Could we do "woodworking" as a hobby? Carving wooden rings to place enchantments on?

So looking back, I re-read Odin's statement as I thought I missed something as what he said considering the situation seemed reasonable to me, but others thought otherwise and I have to ask @KnowledgeKing is Odin saying we'll never be a mason armorer and smith as well as never being allowed to touch fire, or is he saying that we'll never be anything like that due to its proximity and relation to fire.

Odin's saying you'll never be any of those because he's not going to allow you to forge because of the weakness to fire.
