Also, could you weigh in on the general number comparison of how long enchantment last vs how long it takes to forge something? So we can have a good idea and avoid the dishonest arguments made with fake/made up numbers?

Enchantments if done well, probably last for...hundreds of years, if not thousands. They can also be broken though. Can't break whatever abilities are forged in unless you break the weapon/armor itself.

Also, @KnowledgeKing , if enchantment doesn't take that much time or resources to do, doesnt that mean we could enchant a ton of gear in the time of 1 year?

Maybe. Depends on what you're enchanting and what you're enchanting it to do.

I really don't get why people would advocate enchantment when it's already been agreed on that we wouldn't split focus hence why people are pushing for something that actually synergizes with forging since that's what people seem to agree on pushing towards.

Does that depend on a roll? Skill level? Both?

People push for it because it synergizes with Forging?

Honestly I quite like Animation the most. Its an interesting magic can build into many things and kinda is cute for a lonely kid to develop.

That's what I'm thinking. Also we did repeatedly talk about not splitting up focus and just picking up whatever pops up without thought since that seemed to be an issue last quest.

That and it seems like it would actually make it a lot easier for forging.

This is the vote where decide our focus to begin with! Whatever we choose here we keep focusing on.

That sounds amazing. We could be like a Disney movie and have animated objects doing stuff.

We could even do traditional crafting with our magic as how we run an entire workshop ourselves.

[x] Like Nothing Was There, And Yet... (Illusions)
[X] Dark and withery, not cold, but almost lifeless (Shadows)
[X] Alive! (Animation)
[x] Cold (Ice Magic)

Animation magic could let us turn the items we forge into beings that think and help us own their own, like Dr. Strange's cape!

2 hours are up.

[X] Plan: Loki's Future

-[x] Train: The expectations haven't changed
--[x] With your mother, DC 40 Intrigue, DC 15 Martial

Good option to potentially get good training, especially since H2H's DC went way up

-[x] Attempt to cozy up to the trainer so that he can give you more advanced lessons. DC 45

Can hopefully get more powerful learning actions/results.

-[x] Ask Father if he could help you personally with further tutelage on how to run a kingdom. DC 70

Difficult action, but I think we might as well try it and see.

-[x] Pull another prank! You've got the taste for it now!
--[x] On Thor. DC 25

Let's keep this going. Maybe pranks will teach him to be a better brother.

-[x] Try to become the absolute top of your class DC 40
-[x] Ask Frigga if she could help you understand/control your new power (magic)

Wait, I am lost. Are you for or against Enchantment?

It sounds cute, but choosing is kinda going 'oooh, shiny 🤩 gimme'.

Honestly I actually do like animation because not only does it seem fun but actually fits in with the forging idea since Golem's are a thing and would give Loki a reason to look into 'making' his own 'friends'. While transmutation does seem like it would work better long term with the forging idea would prefer what's more interesting narrative wise for what we are going with.

[X] Light and frizzly, almost twinkly in a way (Enchantment)

Shouldn't golems work like Enchantment? That the magic on them needs to be reapplied after some time?

Couldn't we just Enchant a teddy bear to follow us around and hug Loki all the time or something?

The reason transmutation is being pushed is it takes away one of the steps procuring materials. For example we don't have access to vibranuim unless we some how find a rare metal on the market. With transmutation we can get rare and exotic metal and that would automatically increase the quality of what we make permanently. While the investment in enchantment wouldn't be permanent and even if we get it to the skill level where it can last 1000s of years we still have to look for materials.

[X] Like Clay, Moldable And Yet...(Transmutation)

I want magitech first and foremost and then enchantment to supplement that. This is good for forging/scitech so it gets me vote

Enchantment or Animation to give Loki a friend.

Illusions or Shadows for cool Loki that don't need friends.

[X] Proud Loki
Martial:
----------
-[X] Train: The expectations haven't changed
-- [X] Hand to Hand, DC 60

We should finish mastering this before moving in to Odin teaching for pure martial stats.
Diplomacy:
---------------
-[X] Make friends during your lessons...and during training! DC 30

It's about time to pick up Sygin the most loyal.
Stewardship:
--------------------
-[X] Ask Father if he could help you personally with further tutelage on how to run a kingdom. DC 70

Want to use stewardship as a way to get Odin as a mentor and to get closer to him. Also would make it easier to communicate with the Dwarfs with the king backing us up.
Intrigue:
--------------
-[X] Sneak off into Asgard, amongst the commonfolk. See what it was like to not be a Prince for once. DC 50

Trying to setup for the rumor mill, we know the problems of having too little info.
Learning:
-------------
-[X] Try to become the absolute top of your class DC 40

Being the best in class is Loki s pride and he might be able to test out.
Personal:
-------------

-[X] Relationships: Spend time with some of your favorite people in the world!
-- [X] Thor
Let's see if we can do better this time with Thor

What would allow Loki to make an Humoncoli? @KnowledgeKing

Making Vibranium probably requires extremely high level in Transmutation as well.

We are lucky when it comes to Stewardship. We can make some side business (or sell our items) to make cash, which we can then use to simply buy materials. Sure, not everything can be bought, but if we get the dwarves to like us, we could at least get Uru.

@KnowledgeKing

Is transmutation primarily going to help with aquisition of materials?

If this is the case we should just focus stewardship on materials and go with a better magic to help with forging more directly, like animation or possibly stuff that forging can combine with for synergy, such as enchantment.

What if it is something so rare we cannot find or like Wakanda is not for sale because we don't have high Diplo.

I gave an example of how to get Uru. It's not like we need industrial amounts of the stuff. Just enough to make a few items for ourselves.

Uru is one of the best metals. How more rare are you looking for?

Gonna look into things later, but in case I don't these are kinda how I feel.

Yes. Both.

Science and Biology.

Is transmutation primarily going to help with aquisition of materials?

Not really. Transmutation can give you like gold and stuff but Uru? Not going to be easy. Especially Enchanted Uru. Vibranium? Might be impossible.

If you weren't like...trying to make super magical dwarf weapons maybe.

I meant, what does transmutation do besides acquire resources?

Is it magical forging, or is that a separate thing, is what I am asking.
