can we use the stellar bellows stockpile to upgrade current ships?
If you want you could make your plan with those things added and argue why it's good. You got like a solid week to convince the hivemind to reconsider.
Maybe we can look at the closest space hulk or two we get a feeling from, and make sure these k-orks are not on any of them. A centuries long warp storm like that means there could be some stranded after a less than successful battle. Or the fact that if the k-orks find just regular orks and beat them into the Waaagh!, then that is a bunch of extra enemies we do not need out of sight.
A survey/diplomancy attempt or two helps fill in our defensive holes, and lets us choose where the battles should take place if they ever get that far. Our neighboring systems may not get a distress call out in time.
Hopefully this will finally motivate me to finish the omakes I was writing. Doubly hopeful they'll be done in time to actually build some of the tech they introduce.
I think I only realized either weeks or months latter that omakes could inadvertently introduce new things.
Like if what I wrote before about wings of fire, "dragons" may be considerably primitive, but macro-engineering would be at a much larger scale for them than humans, which could help with building larger ships from a new understanding. (I feel I am stretching, but I had not truly thought about what I could add, as I just wanted to see background stuff.)
And if brothers we meet in the future don't provide it, then we need to look through our worlds or the Eldar for a medical and explosives social link. And also more for forging, invention, and electronics. Maybe helping or talking with silver sentinals or notables among them counts? I trust ilbgar though.
do we get to see worlds from omakes if we get a crit on diplomacy or surveying? it is fine if not as ilbgar has enough work as it is and see what happens tomorrow or next week.
