Underneath the twisted blue moon

Hey plan makers, might I persuade you to get rid of a few classes in your plans?
I think it would be better to focus on diplomacy or stewardship classes as apposed to getting basic knowledge in near everything.

Not sure if the Academy offers courses in Mining or Advanced Nobility/Diplomacy to begin with. And between the taxes of the large city we're building, we don't need Estates but do need somebody able to provide army bonuses(and/or heavy duty magic support) to defend it.

I could drop Combat to leave the Primary slot open so Dace can get another Magic primary though, as hero levels and items are more important for the Hero's health(while also being a good source of magic resistance).
@Nordlending your opinion?

I would rather just skip learning for this round and relocate the Academy to us.

Dark forces and all that. We can't be to careful when it comes to makimg sure one of our biggest assets are safe on round 1.

Will make our base more attractive, and if we get students we have a bigger chance to obtain worried parents of students.

We get a boost in population, and our city would become a place of learning. Which sounds a lot better when people start complaining about creating a city state.

It would change our image, and make the main Ministry less likely to take actions. It would make them look like the bad guys to the muggleborns if they did.

Poor old Dace here only want to secure our future.

Gods we're such good people.
We should build a monument to ourselves as well! No one else could possibly get our chin down right.

Seriously though, eventually we should take the option to make another school for the children in our city. The less reason they have to leave our territory the better.

Dace was a intrigue and learning character.
It is the continuation of the stories, so i think our personage is a an intrigue and learning character too.
And LordPenguin had talked a lot about that in the Dace's story...
Et je sais que j'ai raison, c'est tout ce qui m'importe !

Diplomacy
We'll need to get in touch with Dumbledore quickly because the known structures of power will soon be destroyed, and Dumbledore is the only one we can trust not to stab us in the back.
Stewardship
Economy's dying, so shops aren't gonna sell anymore and even worse, in the ensuing riots, there's high chances of theft/destruction of said shops, since we can't protect them. Australia's probably be destroyed soon-ish too, since it's a godless land, so the ranches are also meh. Also , I really doubt a few hundred of people and beasties are more important than the money Montmorency can give us now, when economy's still okay. I put Myriam on buying land, because if what I'm guessing is right, she'll act as an enhancer, so we have a shot at getting more lands, for less money, because if everything's gonna go to hell, we're gonna see a deadly inflation, very soon.
Martial
The world's panicking, everyone's panicking, so there's a higher change of getting us an auror, also, since we're spying on the ministry, the chances get higher.
Intrigue
Voldemort, because afadk ( as far as Dace knows), he's the biggest threat, ant the British ministry, because of the synergy with martial.
Learning
Economy in ruins in both Muggle and Wizarding worlds means violence, riots, and since the Academy is in Cardiff, it's gonna be in danger sooner or later. Morale is important, and the school boost both that and the Adacemy, so I want it up and running asap. Dace can still learn later, but we need to up our hero production now.
Mysticism
Advisor, very important because more actions.
Personal
Aife, because she's vulnerable, and possibly a diplomatic/martial advisor, and sorting memories because we need to know who's our PC here.

The Magical Wilderness of Australia is one of the most lethal places on the planet and during the Battle for Yr Wyddfa in the first timeline, both sides had an army of roughly 600 people. With us having fewer troops on our side during the final battle.
We have 1,000 people working for us in Australia. If we can get half of those? We have an army(especially since Dace's maids are also combat-trained). If we get only a couple dozen of them? They can train new recruits, making said troops less likely to die.

Also, if they take beasts with them we might be able to fill other parts of our unit roster without having to spend an action on it.
I think you might be underestimating just how strong a few hundred people and beasts can be.

Likewise, we should be able to station guards at Montmorency if the Ministry fails to maintain Order in London(especially if we get the Australian wizards) and can relocate(part of) Montmorency to our new city on a future turn(or just sell it on said future turn).

Though if you still want to sell both and not salvage the Ranches? I'd actually recommend not taking the action to poach an Auror this turn as a Security Chief and instead going:
[] Hire more security staff. -10 to enemy infiltration rolls. 2,000 G

So we won't annoy the English Ministry by poaching skilled aurors at a time when they're needed most(but also at a time when problems haven't yet piled up to a breaking point). Also so there are fewer spies to tell other factions just how vulnerable the new city is.
GASL might be able to train a Martial adviser anyway. And with society breaking down, there will probably be more Aurors willing to give up on the Ministry next turn(unless they find an Anchor and form into a faction, in which case it would be in our best interests to not annoy the ministry).

I don't trust Dace to talk to Dumbledor without an Diplomat.

Dace people skill was shit, and this round it is even worse.

The other problem I have with that plan is the new school. I don't want to compete with Hogwarts just yet

Apparently I am voting for stealing a Auror. I kind of want to go the security chief route on the off chance we get a mercenary.

If we play it smart we might be able to hire a band later. .

Interesting

Level 5 Guildmaster: Hero's attack has a chance of stunning enemy for one turn ( Change impending due to elemental affiliation being undefined)

Dace is already level 5

FTFY :p

More seriously though, while Aurors are a guarantee on quality, there might be a few good ones amongst the Australians(or they might know a few freelancers who dealt with larger problems). Though a Mercenary would probably expect to get paid more than the average Auror.
Still, it would somewhat mitigate the hit to Order payments and avoid Ministry of Magic aggro if nothing else so sure, why not.
The Order could use the money to combat Voldemort anyway.

Join our plan.

Its better. Probably .
Honestly considering it ...
Oh well, its basicly the same thing anyway.

Irl, economy is destroyed before and after the war. Just because there's no open fighting yet doesn't mean that everything's okay right now.
Australia, I agree, is extremely dangerous, and that's why I'm insisting on getting rid of it asap. Ranches are not accessible, so might as well sell them. I'm repeating myself but i think Australia probably be destroyed soon and as Penguin already proved , she's not above kicking us while we're down.

While I would like to reinforce inner security, I think it's too early, because factions are still forming. Furthermore, nothing guarantees the canonically incompetent Ministry of Magic will survive to the midgame, especially considering the numbers given by the intrigue option.

Also, while I do admit there are nasty beasts there, I thing you're overestimating the ability of a few hundred australian wizards. Not upgraded units, just baseline wizards whose magic gets no-sold by any HoMM hero. And we still don't know where Fable mechanics come in yet.

That's why I'm advocating getting what we can, whils we can, instead of dwelling in maybes.

Decided to make my own plan because I feel like the other plans aren't that good. I'll explain why I chose each action below.

For Diplomacy I think trying to make people less nervous about us is the obvious choice especially since I remember Penguin saying it was our wife who managed our relationship with the ministry and now that she's dead we need to make sure no problems croup up there.

To be honest in Stewardship I'm playing it safe since I believe doing a massive project is just asking (almost literally) for people to look our way which given that we're intrigue focused is a bad idea. To be honest I'm probably being too cautious about buying land but I'm paranoid it would draw attention our way. I choose business empire since Mirram has better than even odds of succeeding and it should be a subtle action. The coordinating shop action is mostly because it's a cheap option to get us money but I am hopeful it will have some synergies for snooping on Moldy shorts given that Rosier is a part of his faction. Finally I picked resource hunt because it's an action we need to do sometime because what resources we discover could be very valuable.

Martial is obvious get an advisor as soon as possible to get those sweet extra actions. I decided to do the Auror option since I don't like the combination of risky and no given odds. Also I feel like it won't get us any friends in the Ministry.

Intrigue worries me since we don't have an option to spy on Death which makes me think Dace is currently unaware they're even a faction. That is scary. So I'm spying on Voldemort in hopes it'll clue us on Tom but even if it doesn't the intel it gives should be good. The rumor mill was my second pick in more hopes of finding info about Death as well as knowing what's going on is always a good idea.

For Learning the big choice is getting some intel about the darkness since I personally have no idea what it is and that is unsettling. Since I think doing a massive project is insane my only other choice is to take an academy class. I chose basica diplomacy since it's one of Dace's weaker areas and without our wife to smooth over diplo issues so learning the basics isn't the worst idea.

In Mysticism I chose to get an anchor over getting an advisor or getting a second grail since I have fears that the suspiciously high 85% will go down in future turns as other people get their own anchors. I chose Order since nothing implies that the different anchors have different DCs and I think getting the one Dace works best with is obvious. Hopefully getting an anchor won't immediately put us on everyone's radar cause that would really kill the intrigue focus I planned on. Just a side note I find it really suspicious how high the chances of success for getting the mystical artifacts because it makes me worry it's a lie but if so than we're going to have to walk into the trap anyways since they're too potent not to try and get.

Finally for Personal actions I picked the obvious ones i.e. Aife and getting our memories sorted because obvious.

I'm iffy on not getting an advisor because action economy is king, but just not trying to get the anchor for animal troops when Dace hates animals is enough for me to jump on.

@LordPenguin, what's your policy on editing plan definitions?

[X] Plan Let's Order some Intrigue

That plan is aweful, and thats not taking the Order anchor into consideration.

Would prefer Death factions. Order is the least likeable option.
