Scrapped (A Discarded Android Riot Quest)(Always Recruiting)

[X] Scouting missions
[X] concentrate on recording any communications data in order to compile a language kernel

Buddy, buddy, buddy...
Its an analogy. The speaking another language thing was an analogy. They're not speaking another language.
Think of lego blocks or whathaveyous that can fit with each other. Now take one made from one brand, then another made from another brand. The two won't connect with each other.

That is the problem we have with those Loners. Not, the language thing. Analogy.

The biggest problem isn't that its hard to persuade them its that we can't even talk to them. They're essentially speaking another language and we don't have a way to bridge that gap.
It is true, but we can communicate with some of them. Last turn we had "bad attitude bots" we don't want to invite but that doesn't mean we can't ask them to help help in combat against our mutual enemy

Oh right... Forgot about those guys. I only remembered the guys we couldn't talk to, the guys that ran away from Leroy cause he was scary, and the one minion we recruited.

-Wakes up-
Good the see CC doing good work.
Guys, our base is too small for the reactor
So
We need to expand our base
And this is important So imma borrow Saggit (the new Construction assistsnt)
Willing to change vote Butt this seems wise to me
[X] Build Room
-[X] Large attachment for the reactor. The room is partly dug in. The room has catwalks and space to hold the reactor
-[X] Stockade
--[X] The reactor (once it arrives)
[X] Boss minion around
-[X] Saggy the Construction assistant
-[X] Building reactor room

@Lizard Knight
We don't have any pressing need for an additional energy. Reactor can just lay there for quite some time. The only reason we are bothering to bring it home now - we don't want someone else to find it. If it'll just lay right near our stockade it is perfectly fine.

I very much prefer improving our military might: Digging a moat, building a tower, building mechanical traps, fixing\improving existing weapons or even constructing a hardware for one of our military bots by either creative use of gaming computer\energy back pack or doing primitive weapons like crossbows, sharp sticks, maces...Even a +1 to combat hardware can be useful if it is cheap and mass producible. (BTW, speaking about crossbows, I really wouldn't mind some construction bot making me a pair of mechanical single-fire crossbow like weapons for my wing mounts and\or darts to drop out of my bomb bay. I am the only thing that qualifies as air support but I severely lack means to actually damage opponents)

If we could get some production capability that would be great too. We have basically unlimited steel and other metals literally all around us that we don't have to dig up then smelt into whatever. If we can reuse them to make our stuff? Even better~

Wel I am more base builder bot boi, but If you find it more wise, I could construct a Tower or moat.
Granted I constructed that room more to keep the reactor Safe.
Just having it lie around outside our door will attract unsavory eyes to our base.

@I just write could we construct minions? They are synths and With enough parts we can birth a new robo...

Building new bots is possible, but it'll take a LOT of Components and Spare Parts. Basically, it'll only be practical to do once you've got the ability to manufacture those things, which will take a while.

[X] Negotiations!

I'll need a bodyguard again.

I'll need a bodyguard again.

We kind were told that loners around aren't great recruitment material

Instead of recruitment, wouldn't you try to get allies instead? Some hypothetical loner with Combat 5 skill and +20 combat hardware may be a bad recruit because he is a crazy and violent but may be a great asset as an ally.

I took it more as being there are no easy recruitment options. Th action is walking around and talking to people either way, @I just write should I put in an addendum to try to ally with hermit bots?

@I just write - question stands: Do I need to refrain from taking any combat actions to avoid fighting while damaged this turn, or can I count on any actions to repair me being finished and back to 'patched' status before I take whatever action I have planned this turn?
You didn't actually take much damage to systems, so after getting your casing fixed (and maybe a couple servos worked on) you can go right back to work.

[X] Defend another action
--[X] After getting repaired, protect Teractor and the Fusion Reactor recovery team

[X] Boss a Minion around
-[X] Newly recruited Sagittarius Industries Mk. 44 Construction Assistant
--[X] Find out if he (she?) has a name.
---[X] If not, call him (her?) 'Simac'.
--[X] Assist Cave Crush (Lizard Knight) in building a submerged protective structure to hold the G-4 Fusion Reactor.

Aside from personally helping with Reactor recovery via guard duty, I'm mostly backing up @Lizard Knight 's order for our new minion, aside from first asking if the robot already has a name (and then having a difference of opinion on what to call him (her?)). Having a bunker or a submerged room of some kind to hold our new reactor is preferable to just leaving it out in the open.

So, just to clarify, when we get into a fight right about now, we're still using good ol' fisticuffs and whatever hardware we have installed, right? We don't have any firearms or (non-inbuilt) melee weapons yet.

Manufacturer, Model Name, Serial Number: Rush Industries, Type-H Homebot, HXI209-1092-15

Function: A hybrid of security and pet, Type H's were designed as a middle ground between Type-L law-enforcement canine units and Type-P domestic showbots. Programmed to be gentle and playful around family and friends, Type H's can switch to a more aggressive guard mode when they detect a threat. They also have an extensive search mode, capable of finding anything from lost keys to hidden intruders. While their communication is restricted to barks, growls and yips, they are intelligent, fully understand language, and are quite expressive when the need arises.

Physical Description: Type H's have a canine form, standing 70 cm tall and resembling a German Shepard in body shape. While Type-H's are sold with synthfur, Hewie's was lost, revealing bare metal and plastic. However, Type-H's are designed to be robust, so Hewie is still mostly functional.

Personal Identifier: Hewie, (he)

Skills:
Salvage 2
Combat 1

Hardware:
Razor Teeth: Normally "sheathed" in the jaw, when Type-H's switch to guard mode, these tough, sharp teeth snap into place, giving the robot a fearsome bite. Should a tooth be damaged, a replacement is automatically provided from an internal storage unit. +5 to Combat.
Enhanced Sensors: Like the dogs they were modeled after, Type H's have much better sight, smell, and hearing than humans, or even most robots. +10 Salvage

Status: Patched

If this is alright, then I'll put my robo-nose to good work and join a salvage team
[X] Go looking for Components
-[X] Small Motor systems

EDIT: Adding some backstory.

Status Update:

Active Mode
: Search

Auditory Sensor Setting: Pattern detection,

Olfactory Sensor Setting: Broad filter: Multiple components common in Synthetic Life in close proximity

Visual Sensor Setting: Normal

Hewie had noticed his family growing distant in the last few weeks, but he'd never imagined he'd enter recharge mode one day, only to never be woken. Instead, awareness had returned only after he fell onto something hard when he was dumped.

Scared and confused, he had wandered, trying to find someone, anyone; but those robots that didn't run from him tried to attack him. He'd lost five teeth fighting off the ones he could, running from those he couldn't.

Auditory Alert: Pattern Detected: Analyzing…

Footsteps. Metallic. Multiple. Continuing analysis.

Olfactory Addendum: Setting parameters met. Narrowing focus.

Metallic ears swiveled as Hewie froze, his mouth opening slightly to bring the full range of his sensors to bear.

(Active Mode Priority) Search Mode Recommendation:Unknown. Use caution. Avoid.
Guard Mode Recommendation:High probability of hostile. Avoid or eliminate.

He should move on, he shouldn't risk himself, he had no mission, no duty but survival…

Family Mode Recommendation: Approach. Act friendly.

Instead, his legs moved carefully towards the unknowns.

Above all else, he didn't want to be alone.

Manufacturer, Model Name, Serial Number: Modular Machinations LLC, Dynamic Wholesale Assembly and Resource Finder (DWARF) Mk. 6, #4632
Function: DWARF units were designed to be dropped on a planet being considered for population and begin gathering resources and constructing infrastructure in preparation of colonists.
Physical Description:
DWARF #4632 has a large, boxy main body, somewhat reminiscent of a tank, especially since he has treads. These treads can be removed and replaced with any movement module capable of supporting his weight in the event of precision being more important than effeciency. He also has sixteen medium to large scale modular ports, with two on each side and four on the top and bottom. This is in addition to several smaller scale ports scattered around and inside his chassis.
Personal Identifier: Crenshaw, Dwarf, He
Skills:
Salvage 2
Construction 1
Hardware:
PICK Brand Drill: A large drill, specialized for tunneling and shaped to allow distinct objects to be taken inside the cargo section of Crenshaw's chassis and crush anything scanned and deemed worthless. The motor driving the drill is worn and has a tendency to stall. Even when functioning it lacks the power to be drill was designed to operate at.
+5 Salvage
+5 Combat
Fuzzy Douse Brand Scanner: A scanning device designed to locate materials underground. Normally also capable of displaying or scanning for specific shapes, but the impact of planet fall decalibrated it, lowering both range and fidelity.
+5 Salvage
Status: Patched

By the by, is there roleplay in this quest at all because if not I don't see the point of having these cool designs and names.

This seems like a very bad idea right now, especially if you're the only one who's interested in doing it.

We need to fully establish and secure our first base as is before moving on to expanding to a second, and if you go off building a second base on your own right now like that, you're likely to be picked off by Cannibals.

Identity, differentiating our bots, a greater source of personal investment in the quest...
