Hunting for battle experience. Formations, even if the first aren't helpful for us immediately, could be sold to lower rank cultivators for beast cores.

But, I would say that unyielding, determined, and spirit furnace are must pick for the last month.

How do you think we should split up the dice? Normal training die on techniques and the d100 on immortal sage? Where would the bonus die go?

Hey QM, is Heaven allowed an actual element in this setting (ie, can things be Heaven elemental)? Because I'm thinking about writing up a manual for Kitsune Spirit Beast Inheritors that gives them a kitsune (not the full fox kind) form that let's them fully tap into the full power of that blood. It would work by mixing the element of Heaven with the element that came with the Kitsune blood (in our case, Fire) allowing them to use a blessed form of the original element.

There's probably (definitely) Heavenly Qi, but I doubt that it counts as an "element," per se.

I was looking through the store and I thought of something; Black Heaven and Earth manual gives us access to a Mad Enhancement mode where we (seemingly) get limitless stamina and Ki, and increased vitality, strength and agility, at the cost of...well...going berserk. So I was wondering if we could nullify the berserk part if we cultivated The Mind Unclouded? If so, then we should pick TMU up now, as it's a High Mortal manual (where as BHaE is Mid Mortal to Low Heaven)

No, it's not. Things like Heavenly Qi and Divine Qi can exist but they wouldn't count as an element.
 
What about the Black Heaven and Earth/The Mind Unclouded combo? Is that going to work?
 
@Kolarthecool why does the system not offer any cultivation pills ? There was talk about three batches of high rank pills for a single point, but i see nothing of the sort in the shop list.
Also: are we voting for what consumables and training action we're doing too ? 3d10 and 2d20 (plus whatever is bought)
Lastly: what monthly ressources are we getting from the Clan ? Heck, does high cultivation speed earn us some extra pills or something as encouragement to continue working hard at it ?

Take this! Action economy. Never have to devote an action to training martial arts again.
That's untrue, the 1% Xp would make our martial arts lag behind by at least 2 or 3 levels, rendering them borderline useless.
Astral Body Forging Method: everything about this is great, but the " further refine a body even one past the Body Refinement realm" bit means we probably want to wait on using it until we've hit peak body refinement

Items, techniques and cultivation arts are ranked out of 5 ranks: Mortal --> Earth --> Heaven --> Immortal --> Divine. Each rank is further divided into 3 tiers: Low, Mid and High.
Also: Mortal covers the 1st realm.
So we're at the 3rd stage of the 1st realm, in other words we're already at the High Mortal level. Seems like the best moment to train it.

Because it's a well known fact that Bottlenecks are the main pain in the ass in all wuxia cultivation.

Purgatory Pepper x 1 (50SP) use it at the end of the month
Because we don't want to allow that impurity score to raise. it's already a 16% which would imply, at the very least, a 16% decrease in cultivation speed.
We want to use it at the end of the month so it can cleanse two months worth of pills and we actually see the effect of impurities, and plan around it latter on.

Astral Body Forging Method (1000SP Manual)
"compatible with other body techniques" , because stacking seems like a great idea.

Immortal Sage Awakening (800SP Manual)
- a month long 100 SP illusion formation to train it with
LUB is good for the body and ABF is going to make it ridiculous, so lets start training that Mind now. +Comprehension and +Insight are tasty! LUB's formation was at that price.

Single Foot, One Thousand Steps (500SP)
Should logically mutually benefit from One Palm Advances. Result: either higher effect or much faster training, either way it's a huge boon over the elephant thing. Maybe we can develop a defensive version of it ?
Eventually we should want to build up loyal minions, so it's probably better to offer them manuals that work around the same general principle (because manuals aren't consumed upon use, so we can give/lend/sell them after use!)

Kolarthecool why does the system not offer any cultivation pills ? There was talk about three batches of high rank pills for a single point, but i see nothing of the sort in the shop list.

Anything the MC mentions seeing in the store is just flower text on my part. If people see vote to buy such things then I can make up a post for them but generally I just leave it to whatever you guys can create.

Also: are we voting for what consumables and training action we're doing too ? 3d10 and 2d20 (plus whatever is bought)

As I understand it, Black Heaven and Earth = incredible power but you go berserk, and the mind unclouded = you can always keep your wits about you and stay in control.

Depends on the wording of the description then. The could compliment one another, allowing an increase in power while retaining control. Could cancel each other out though, if the berserk mind state is needed for the power boost.

Apparently, BHaE works by forming a volatile and violent form of Qi. Using this Qi let's us enter The Threshold, where we get all the previously mentioned power ups at the cost of sanity. By the sound of it, tapping into the Qi has a nasty side effect of making people lose their mind, and the madness itself isn't responsible for the extra power.

We got this:
Cultivation Pills (High-Grade, Low-Mortal rank).
Assorted pills that strengthen the body and improve Qi flow. Only useful in the Body Refinement realm.
Effect 1: +1d20 XP to all training per pill.
Effect 2: +0.35% Qi impurity per pill.
Duration: 30 uses remaining (24 hour cooldown).
Sell: 0 SP ea.​



And the Liquids show that a rank increase will up both the XP dice and the impurity gain. So probably:
-1d40XP, 0.65% impurity for Mid-Mortal.
-1d80XP, 1.20% impurity for High-Mortal.
No idea on what effects a Grade increase would do though.
Nor what the SP price would be for each (or per batch). All me know is that HG/LM would cost less than 10SP.

What can we fluff beyond that ad nauseum.
 
Either the prices of the beast cores changed and I didn't notice, or there's an issue with the math...

Beast core prices are:
20x Class-1 Beast Core. ... Sell: 50 SP ea.

10x Class-2 Beast Core.
... Sell: 500 SP ea.

Previous chapter points would thus be...
20(50)+10(500) = 6000 pts. Not 3500.
A/N2: due to more bad math on my part, you guys actually got 3,500 points from the cores not 6,500. This doesn't really affect much, I just have to decrease the rank and price of the item you use for cultivating.

And then for the most recent chapter:
Zhang Tian will acquire (100) Class 1 Beast cores and (25) Class 2 cores. A total of 10,000 additional points, will you buy anything? (hint -new cultivation art- /hint)
I make 100(50)+25(500) = 17,500.

So that's a difference of (6000-3500)+(17500-10000) = 10,000 points we'd have extra.

Am I missing something?
