For destruction- rituals would be leveraged to buff the path we take, so with warrior likely strength and endurance type rituals, while skirmisher rituals would be about speed. General is more to go with the various monster/golem/other creation paths being bandied about however for at least 2 if not all 3 rituals and magic will be useful in breeding/control/creation as well as ways to enhance our creatures.[X] Plan Volcano Spirit
So in the interest of promoting productive discussion I wanted to spark the idea of how these choices interact with our Lorekeeper and Secrets spheres. How can we leverage Majesty, General, Warrior with our ritualistic focus?
Also with the current winning combo of Wanderer, Performer, Skirmisher the same question. How can we leverage them to our ritualistic focus?
Unfortunately I'm el busy-o so I can only leave this here for you fine folks to chew over. I'll be back in a few hours.
A death god/psychopomp who also patronizes warriors and commanders?
We're getting a bit too Norse, methinks.
But as long as we become Anor Gwynito, and have our Ashen Heralds, I'm cool with it.

Maybe it would be better if people explicitly laid out what they were working towards? This is an interesting assumption; I'm not sure how well it holds.
Maybe it would be better if people explicitly laid out what they were working towards?
I know a couple of people have done so (examples being @Wheel of time @xtra_ore and @Omegahugger ), but with more than 25 voters these sort of differences can prevent the creation of a cohesive character, instead creating a mishmash of a bunch of contradicting traits (looking at you, Harzivan).
To help remedy this, I think that people should try typing out a short blurb of where they wish to take the direction of our spirit, how they wish to do so, and what end result they desire.
I personally wish to create a power beast spirit (lizard preferred) with large broods of monsters primarily focusing on elemental affinities associated with ash (I would probably prefer Fire and Earth).
I would prefer this Spirit to be a Faith one, with worshipers looking to it with awe and adoration instead of fear.
To serve this end, I would prefer to go into a torpor and gain access to both Ashform and Greater Lizard, so that we may finally have an avatar and gain more actions, as well as start on the creation of a brood of monsters.
Seeing as we essentially have the beginnings of a Pantheon at this point in Goldie and Panda, we can focus less on lording over the mortals and more on things such as rituals and DE generation/population growth.
As a result of said Pantheon specialization, we can also probably take the role of a General, to Goldie and Ari'see's Lord. We can use the physical might of a Beastform Avatar to wreck havoc on any battlefield, and assist our ashen faced mortals into becoming powerful Holy Warriors, unafraid of Death.
My preferred endgoal is a semi-benevolent Dragon Spirit (or any sort of large and powerful reptile if the idea of a dragon upsets you) that understands the power of Rituals and has sired many Ur Beasts and notable Demi-spirits.
I don't really have any current preference for an Afterlife, besides what I mentioned in an earlier post of giving mortals feelings of contentment as we recycle/consume their souls.
Now, this can (and likely will) chance as we learn more about our surroundings and unlock new things to do, but as of this current moment these are the things that I want, how I want to achieve them, and what I think the results of said achievement will be.
It would be nice if others could do something similar so that we might facilitate easier planning in future turns.
Also, while I may not be trying to become a primarily Volcano Spirit, I believe this fills the niche of a powerful Beast Spirit quite well

I want stronk Beast Spirit (ash lizard preferred) that make a bunch of monsters, is good at rituals, and has a powerful and commanding presence (Majesty and Generalship).

I also have a semi TL;DR in the post itself, but I guess I can quote it here too.

I wish to be Lord of oblivion. To be the dread sorceror warrior king of a vast underworld of fire and Ash. To be a king of destruction and ruin in all it's forms.
To be the commander of the storms fury and breaker of armies. I wish to embody the primal forces of the world. To be the elemental destroyer and master of Death. To put it bluntly I want to be the ultimate gid of Death who raise up armies of the undead from the desolation of flame to act as my army. But more then that I wish to be the personification of Ending in all it's forms so we may keep it at bay be it disease, murder, disaster or war I wish to ward it from our people and to be a caring keeper of thier souls and a terrible calamity for our foes.
However I will follow @King Tharassian lead because I am rather obsessive. Though we have to do something like this once
Firestorm explosion right in the middle of the enemy with blade raised high.
I promise not to advocate murder or destruction like that one time with genocide elves and hippe orcs. Unless we are provoked in which case I will go full Old Testement.I like these.....
.... You know, if you were our psychopomp and this was Egypt, I get the feeling you'd feed people to Ammut for funsies.
That kinda creeps me out.![]()

Now describe your plan for our God please and thank you.
If all of destruction is ruled by a caring mind what have ye to fear of the End?I mentioned it earlier.
I feel that we should focus on being a deity to be respected. Fear is fine in some ways, but when have you ever seen a death god that didn't dominate by fear or have a bad reputation among mortals?
Odin doesn't count. He was a god of wisdom and prophecy first and foremost. His death aspect is secondary.
I want our Ash God to be a leader. A king or queen, not feared or hated but revered as the elemental, primordial thing that Death is. I want to see us build an Elysium. I want us to be as even as the scales and as unbiased as a judge. Those who wrong us are to be punished. The rest are equal in our eyes.
Besides, I was joking about what I said.![]()

Hades, arguably Anubis. Most death gods don't dominate by fear, they're just feared because they're inevitable. Ignoring the aztecs, cus every one of their gods has its own afterlife for worshippers.Fear is fine in some ways, but when have you ever seen a death god that didn't dominate by fear or have a bad reputation among mortals?
Xolotl, the TwinI mentioned it earlier.

Xolotl, the Twin
he is a very scary god but was also the guardian of life
As @SpeckofStardust said it does not matter how you die on!y that you do. But as we rule over the souls of the dead the savagery you will suffer has only just begun if you anger us.Fear judgment, for none are given greater privilege by that caring mind.
yeah they have this one called the obsidian butterfly she is a warrior goddess but also the protector of infant souls where she has a tree that has 4000 nipples that nourish them for reincarnationHades, arguably Anubis.
