This is my first time posting to Sufficient Velocity, so please let me know if I've messed up somehow in my formatting, or if I've missed some rule while posting. This story has been kicking around in my mind for a while, and has been something I've wanted to explore for some time. While it is labelled as a Superman/Worm crossover, do not expect this to just be a story about one-sided stomps. I've always been fascinated by Superman's more esoteric powers, and all the abilities that aren't usually placed under the 'Flying Brick' label. This is a story about a Clark Kent without his memories of his powers, and while you can expect the rest of his powers to slowly appear throughout the story, don't expect him to be fist-fighting Alexandria at the start. This story is also about Superboy Prime in particular, and not the more famous Superboy people may be more familiar with. He's an odd character, and one that I'd like to explore. Despite his powers, once more, I want to reiterate that this is not a stompfic. Finally, the first part of this story is likely to be mostly a detective story, with noir leanings. More stereotypical superhero shenanigans will take place later on, but the first part will be more focused on Clark's mystery of who he is, and his interactions with the ABB and E88. Help a group of ancient aliens recover an object of great power from the clutches of an alien that kills and enslaves those who go through it. He didn't wish to instill fear in the innocent or become a tyrant. He dreamed of being a hero, of using his newfound power to protect the weak and save those who couldn't save themselves. He knew it wouldn't be easy, that the Sinestro Corps' legacy was tainted by dictators and conquerors. However, he would defy that fate. With every fall, he gets back up, no matter how many times he feels useless or that he has failed, his friends always supported him, despite the fact that fear is his source of energy, he never used it to harm others, he uses the fear of his enemies not to harm, but to protect others and himself.
