Squirrel Sect [Stone age] [Riot Quest] [Squirrels Cultivating]

our starting squirrel count was the number of voters for the first turn. While there is such a thing as player atrophy. It is reasonable to have our number of squirrels be equal to that number if at all possible.

That number (Current squirrels) is also kind of your HP since if they all die it's a lose condition.

We don't start losing actions until the discrepancy becomes big, though.

Also...

[X] Stone Cutting [0/25]

This seems relatively unloved.
I don't really care. I really don't all I was doing was suggesting the best course of action, given the circumstances, if we don't follow it I don't care. You can't disagree here, because we both know it to be true. I mean we'd have to be idiots to state not caring about the discrepancy until the discrepancy is actually negatively impacting us is at all wise.

We don't need to worry too much for now, it only matters if the number of squirrels falls heavily below the number of voters.

Not sure why my dice got thrown twice, but take the first. Unless...

The squirrel had seen many of its compatriots die, going out hunting before never being seen again. But what could she do? She was not strong like the others, she was weak, and she dared not take one of the precious stock of Qi Acorns for fear she would not use it correctly. After all, had she not seen how magnificently the first squirrel to use it had cultivated? Truly...
The Great Devourer had encountered an uncomfortable truth. Despite it's unending desire for consumption it's teeth weren't sharp enough to consume the very sticks of the land, much less harder things like rocks. So, as it contemplates, it ponders into how to grow stronger, so that everything truly will be consumed by it. For the Great Devourer wouldn't be stopped by such a simple hurdle, not yet. Not Ever!
The Great Devourer was a branch-defying genius. No, her contribution would be simpler. If the Great Devourer wasn't strong enough to devour rocks, then rocks must be stronger still, and to be able to shape the rocks would mean she was helping. So, carefully biting, she began to nibble at the rock, and when that failed, she struck one rock against another, over and over again. Others might join her or not join her, but she would try her hardest to contribute.

Ok, take the 6, not the 1. Unless I have to reroll again to make it fair? Not sure how the 1 happened in the first case unless I was editing two posts at once on accident.

[X] Wooden Structure [0/25]

Death was coming. Wise Stone could feel it in his tail. The many brave squirrels that went out to look for dangers and resources returned with tales of Feathered Death becoming increasingly violent.

Defenses were needed. Many other squirrels had sought to make protection for the elements. Wise Stone considered that perhaps they could protect from more than the elements. He would seek to help finish the work.

Edit: Well that's a failure. :V

Edit 2: Looking at things it seems wooden structure had already passed anyways. Well I guess we know why Wise Stone failed.

This guy wrote his omake before he rolled.
Huge fan, super fan.
Everyone should be like this guy. Rerolled 1s and all.

Failing because you showed up to help to show off your advancements after everyone's already finished is probably the most squirrel thing to do.

"But-but, I figured out you can use these pieces to hold these pieces!"

"Yeah we uh... figured that out yesterday."

"But I did it now!"

"And we already built the building."

"... Wise stone sad."

...going to be honest. I expected cultivation to improve all squirrels... so sorry, but for the investment in Great Devourer to be wise, the investment must continue so he can devour a particularly powerful owl...

A lot of the quest is about balancing resources, and needs.
Cultivators are essentially your only way of fighting predators (right now).

However each cultivator is a voter mostly dedicated to improving themselves not only that, but needing the KI acorns means it takes more than 1 voter to make a single cultivator.

All while food is a constant threat and there is so much R&D possible.

Thank you @Gahuul for taking over for me while I was gone. the counting sheet should be back up to date now, but feel free to let me know of any discrepancies.

The Disciple had been very busy counting, tracking, analyzing what the tribe knew. He had been inspired by his vision of The Divine Counter to count everything in the tribes possession. But knowledge, how does one quantify knowledge? you can't separate it into piles like you can with acorns, berries, or wood. "but what if the knowledge was on the wood?" Disciple pondered to himself. Then it would be as easy as sorting the wood the knowledge was on into new piles! he was a GENIUS! but how to put knowledge on wood.

He pondered this as much as he could while counting, until he eventually took a short break from the counting to ensure his body was well-nourished. He picked up a berry from the 'Food' pile and placed it into his mouth, but he must have gotten it on a slightly odd angle since his fur got coated with the sweet, purple juices instead of his throat. In response to this, he simply took one hand, placed it against his fur, and after a moment smeared it on the wall of the trunk he was hiding in. It was the perfect thing for him, now he just needed a piece of wood in a good shape. he dug through the 'wood' pile for a few minutes to find a wide piece of bark, but it broke in two almost as soon as his hand met the surface. He would need to help fix that.
