Shepard Quest Mk VI, Technological Revolution

we should build the Iron Giant the first personal combat suit that functions as botha mech and a spaceship as well!

So I assume that a mech like yours would be perfect in urban warfare?
Especially in the cities of mass effect were tanks can not go? And when you need something heavier than power armor?
God no, an urban combat environment is horrible for mecha. You might as well just serve them up to heavy weapon and high explosive armed infantry for dinner with a side of butter while your at it. The infantry will be able to outmaneuver the mecha with utter ease and unlike with a tank, target all the vulnerable joint areas that could mission kill a mecha stone dead.

@Hoyr the latest update isn't threadmarked.

Important bits:
-Batarians have Reapertech encryptions
-the Council is now certain that Revy's miracle tech isn't from some ancient Precursor tech-repository.
-Revy-effect has taken the galactic economy by a storm, and PI/ParSec is nearing nationhood in terms of power. No mention has been made of any backlash against Revy on this.
-Council has no intention of stopping Revy's impossible streak of innovations, only concern that the Batarians made her militant in her outlook.
-SA's growth will not be contained for fear of antagonizing Humanity, instead the Council intends to integrate the Systems Alliance by using soft diplomacy.
-The secret Asari Matriarch cabal is trying to control Humanity via cultural assimilation.

We can work with this.

So what path are we gonna attempt to focus on. I'm gonna put out little ideas.
Drones. For a next stage of drones we could keep whith the simple design that i beleve we have (Gremlins from XCOM 2 spring to mind) Make them bigger or more secure from hacking. (Look at preveious posts for several more detailed ideas. Another thing we could do to mix things up a little would be to build a version of our armor thats basicly more advanced drones (End of Iron Man 2 i beleve).
Armor. A few paths to go would be space use. Heavy armor and more pew. But there's not really that much intresting stuff to boost about power armor.
Mechs We have things that could be eh and could be meh. Flash pinpoint focus shields could be a thing...That's an idea...will have more details below i guess
Tanks. Bigger
Ships. I may be a bit closed minded but apart from general tech upgrades the only sort of usfull idea i can think of is the Q.L. control i mention in previous comments

Now onto tech ideas.
Flashpoint shields. I guess the best way to describe this would be shields that flash on when needed and the entirety of the shield is focused on a single point meaning a theoreticaly massive boost in defence (If ME shields arn't allready this.
Multilayer shields. Speaks for itself.
Cycleing shields. 2 or more shields that cycle on and off in activity to allow recharge of inactive shields and in theory produce a near infinite sheld strength as long as the incoming damage isn't too massive.

I believe that we should focus on ships first, since the war with batarians will likely require the SA navy to expand massively

And maybe than better tanks because I like tanks

Edit: But as Han Empire said that is up to the SA parliament

So....Two different people rated my post asking about the Iron Man MKll Funny. I don't follow the general thread, I only read the updates, so what am I missing here?

Had a though about a quick way to get into the Turian market and gets lots of goodwill.
Offer to build a factory on their homeworld.

  • They provide land(near a major military base), building material, workers and security during construction and initial startup, we provide plans and managers.
  • We provide plans, managers and expertise.
  • Once built 90% of factory output is dedicated to producing reactors for Turian Military at cost until the land, materials and other costs are paid for. Other 10% sells at standard rate but is restricted to Turian Police and government contracts.
  • Once debts are paid off, prices raise to standard, the Turian Military gets the right to purchase up to 50% of our production, Police the same option for 10% of production, and we sell the rest as civilian power plants like we are starting to do on earth.

Bennies
  • This plan lets us expand to Palaven for almost free.
  • Avoids the risk of shipping Arc Reactors between Human and Citadel space.
  • Gets us massive support from the Turians. Including Military protection for our factory.
  • Gets us more Citadel support and calms any worries about our politics.
  • Increases the power of the Turian Military quicker than the Pirates and Batarians can bootstrap themselves.
  • If it goes well the other races will start courting us to do the same on their worlds.
  • More money
Downsides
  • Increases risk of tech getting out but that cat is already clawing its way out of the bag.
  • Offends those with Earth First leanings
  • Pisses of the Pirates more.
What do you think?

So you are saying we need to make Revy, God-Empress of Mankind?
we could

Random idea that i don't want to double post for. How possible would it be for us to jumpstart the X-Gene if it exists in this reality at all....on more thought it probably dosn't but worth an ask.

As of this moment, your plan is impossible to implement
The turians are one of the most distrusted races in the SA
To even consider to do so will have people to accused Revy and PI of treason.
Why give the turians possible access to advanced human tech when that factory can be better placed on another human colony closer to turian space.
It may be possible later on but not now. Especially since we are now at war and we need to give the SA war effect our 110%

Options added to next quarter
Refine salvaged eezo in factories, 1,000,000 production for 500 billion credits of eezo.
Sell salvaged eezo, 50 billion credits

Salvaging the rest would require a dedicated effort and maybe some specialized space sweeping machinery.
For those wondering: it's mathematically better to process it

Spending one million production for 500 billion credits come out to 500,000 credits per production. A gain of 240,000cr/pr over our standard income. It's quite literally the most profitable thing we can do with our production outside of selling Arc Reactors to the Citadel.

The only problem is that it's around half next quarter's unused production so we might run into issues with getting it done and producing all the stuff for the military build up ParSec and the Alliance is about to go through.

Also life's a pain in the ass, by computer is also a pain in the ass and that's general not fun. :)

Sorry to hear that. Still I'm glad to see your still alive and kicking.
