Shepard Quest Mk V, Base of Operations (ME/MCU)

We don't actually have any facilities on Elysium right now. Maybe:

""No Paragon Industries personnel have been deployed anywhere save our facilities on Mindoir, nor will they be in the near future, with the exception of our planned facilities on Elysium."

Other then that I like your vote.

Do we really need some long explanation? It's a question thrown out by a reporter on our way to what we actually came here for, not a press conference. It should be good enough to just say "no, we haven't done that" and go on our way, and if it crops up again we can take time out to address it properly in a conference. I'd rather we not get stuck here all day answering stupid questions.

Do we want to be stuck answering random questions being called out from a mob of reporters? If we're going to do an impromptu press conference, we should do what we did the first time and point to five people. It's not going to change the questions, but it would alter the scenario a little.

@UberJJK
But what about this,
If our expansion on Elysium goes through, hire another 5 Security Teams to be stationed there, likewise keeping their equipment at hardsuits and smallarms for now.
Our expansion of Elysium did begin. The phrasing implies this should be in addition to the teams hired for the other Mindoir factories.

You could make a kickass logo for paragon industries? It would probably count as an omake (maybe, hopefully).

Sorry guys, my PC art based skills is little to none. And i think repainting one of the house walls while awesome would get me into a little to much hot water at the moment.

Or worse, i end up having to repaint them all. Im enjoying the game and love the out takes.. but not that much :p

The current answers being written are a lie (tho possibly of forgetfulness?)

We have sent armed personnel to Altahe as part of Liara's expedition.

Changing my vote:

[x] 1. "The future, as always."
[x] 2. "The only expedition we have sent to Alathe has been an archaeological expedition, with any armed forces that entails, furthermore, we are not interested in sending any armed forces to any planet unless they are requested or needed by any of our expeditions or facilities."
[x] 3. "I have not made a decision at this time concerning selling military hardware to the other members of the Citadel. I will not sell to nations outside of it."
[x] 4. "I'm a scientist, not a soldier. I can do more good for Humanity AND the Citadel in the lab then in the military. anyone saying otherwise is a fool."
[x] 5. "No. a war with the Batarians would be won in space and most of the hardware i have developed is for ground warfare. By what information is available to me A war at this time would be strategically unsound and, more importantly, be diplomatic suicide; don't let the hot heads tell you otherwise."

@Esbilon - whats the state of the art when it comes to antimatter? antimatter research may yield a safer way of dealing with the stuff, however I want to see if we can make anti-lithium to allow for solid state antimatter, and probably a far better source of fuel for our super-frigate, and allows for entire projectiles to be composed of antimatter, immensely dangerous for any enemy we attack.

also, is the legionary resistant to toxic environments? you know hermetically sealed, lined with radiation resistant material and has gas filters to make sure we dot breath in toxins? possibly CO2 scrubbers or something? insulated against extremely high or low temperatures?

Even standard hardsuits are. I'm sure Revy's work is at least as safe as the quality canon stuff.

Antimatter for weapons purposes is currently fullerened, that is inserted into a bucky ball of carbon. (It is not immediately clear to me how this works, but Schlock Mercenary does it in that way.) For propulsion, Arc Reactors are better.

The Legionary suit is indeed protected against full NBC precautions and hard vacuum.

As I (don't really) understand it that's one of those "It doesn't work but sounds good." explanations.

In theory the negatively charged electrons of the carbon atoms would keep the negatively charged anti-proton in the center of each ball trapped in place. In practice Earnshaw's theorem means it doesn't work.

True...

@Esbilon Full tech suggestions so far,
  1. Null Barrier : a modification of pre-existing kinetic barriers, rather than applying repulsive mass effect shields to a incoming projectiles, a mass reduction field is projected covering an area containing the outer 1-2 mm of the armour and extends out 1-2 centimetres for infantry grade shields more for ship based as they have to cover an entire incoming MAC slug.
    1. Reactive Shield : combine null barriers with sensors for ship based ME fields so that you only activate the portion of the field and the field depth necessary to neutralise incoming fire. REQUIRES advanced VI or AI tech + advanced sensors, FTL preferable.
      1. *new* Composite Shields : these shields use sensors to not only determine the file depth and area to protect but also the type of field that will provide the greatest defence be-it Kinetic Barriers or Null Barriers.
      2. Reverse Event Horizon Shields : a derivative of the reactive shield designed for energy weapons, should energy weapons be detected singularities are created away from the ship to re-direct energy away from the ship.
  2. Assisted Biotic Charge : Using the standard biotic charge as a template the device propels an object along a pre-determined course at high velocity - possible applications high velocity manoeuvring, in facility rapid transport and depending on the speed that is achievable possibly long range tactical deployment of assets.
  3. FTL Sensors : Using FTL comm-buoys as a template use the technology to allow FTL sensor pings
  4. Usage of free electron lasers instead of the current models allowing for X-Ray or microwave lasers, increasing accuracy and range
    1. FTL Lasers, using a comm buoy as a template use the technology to allow the laser to propagate at FTL speeds and allow for longer range and reduced reaction time.
  5. Research into how the Relays actually manage to avoid all the interstellar debris between each other (phasing could be useful for a lot of stuff if that is what it turns out to be)
  6. *new* Physical detonation nuclear slugs for mass accelerator cannon
  7. *new* FTL Recon drones for ships
    1. *new* FTL capable attack drones á la stargate
    2. *new* Planetary defence drones á la stargate
      1. *new* planetary defence satellites, make them effective to use for colonists so that you can protect against slavers.
  8. *new* building grade kinetic barriers.
  9. *new* Rapid manufacturing, by analysing the rapid fabrication techniques utilised in the creation of the omni-blade and the drone by the omni tool allow for extremely rapid manufacturing. results in T4 factories which produce products much faster.
    1. *new* Multi-purpose ammo, use rapid manufacturing technology to manufacture missiles or other larger projectiles
  10. *new* long range FTL by converting the static buildup into usable charge.
  11. *new* research the infamous collector particle beams, the technology interests you.
    1. *new* Ship grade particle beams
    2. *new* This probably be a good addition
  12. *new* figure out a way of powering prothean beacons
    1. *new* figure out an effective interface with protean beacons, they literally depend on a sense that the current races don't have. Classify this completely and utterly especially from Liara or any other Asari.
  13. *new* Eezo mining, the stuff is apparently common around neutron stars and pulsars, see if you can get mining rights.
    1. *new* Eezo synthesis, it's formed through some kind of reaction with the radiation from supernovae so it could be a good lead there
      http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Element_Zero said:
Eezo is generated when solid matter, such as a planet, is affected by the energy of a star going supernova. The material is common in the asteroid debris that orbits neutron stars and pulsars.
  14. *new* Bra-ket notation QEC comms
    1. *new* multi-terminal QEC comms
  15. *new* O'neil cylinders - based off of the imaginings of a 20th century human, these stations allow for a far more profitable space based economy and habitation in systems with no garden worlds.
Questions
  1. what are the council regulations on FTL Weaponry?
  2. *new* Is anti-matter banned in space combat? I know the citadel conventions ban antimatter on garden worlds but nothing is said about space combat. I know for a fact that they use nukes for space combat.
  3. *new* Whats the word on repair nanites?
  4. *new* Whats the word on super conductors
  5. *new* Can we get research on alternate forms of FTL from the other council races?

just realised something, certain forms of anti-matter weaponry (i.e. anti-matter particle beams, pure anti-matter projectiles and certain forms of anti-matter payload missiles) would utterly destroy null barriers, that is a huge weakness right there.

new derivative of reactive shields : Composite Shields : these shields use sensors to not only determine the file depth and area to protect but also the type of field that will provide the greatest defence be-it Kinetic Barriers or Null Barriers.

P.S. I will be editing my list to include this.

Forgot something in my tech list... updating it now. I will get around to fully fleshing it out.
