SayakaQuest: Trauma is a Thing

She smiles, but you can tell that she feels the tension in the air tonight. "Well, sure! Bring Homura and Kyouko, too! I think they'd have fun with it!"

You force a smile. You have no idea how she's doing it, but she's keeping a smile much better than you can.

[X] Eat dinner.

You try eating dinner. You got yourself a bit of Turkey breast and a wing, and are eating them while keeping an eye around. You can see Kyouko eating slowly, which seems rather odd considering how she seemed so excited earlier.

...

You really want to salvage this. The tension's building. Things are getting worse. You're getting stressed out. There has to be some way to relieve the pressure...

[X] Tatsuya, come help Sayaka-nee defuse this situation with adorable toddler babble!

"Uh..." You look at Madoka's younger brother. "Tatsuya!" You grin like an idiot. "Uh...hi!" You're out of options. Might as well try it.

He smiles and waves. "Sa-ya-ka!" He laughs. "Sa-ya-ka!"

"Yes, help aunt Sayaka by being cute and stuff!" You say like an idiot...and then you hear the sound of a chair sliding across the floor.

Kyouko stands up, and she leaves the table. Everyone's staring in shock, and you can see Homura staring after her.

"Sorry." You say quickly, as you quickly get yourself away from the table. You run outside.

"Kyouko!" You shout. You run forwards, looking for Kyouko in the darkness of the night. You start looking in several different directions...before you see a flash of red in an alleyway. And in the corner of your eye, under a street lamp, you swear that you could see someone running before it suddenly disappears.

OOC: It's because of my rules that I give a lot of chances to defend yourself before you finally bite the dust. It doesn't require one stupid decision. It requires you to make a long chain of dumb choices. Anybody can make a stupid-ass mistake, just don't do it repeatedly.

You run over to where you saw the red glow. In the middle of your run, you transform with a brilliant blue light, and slide across the ground when you reach the alleyway. "Kyouko!" You shout.

When you see her, she's in a red uniform, and a labyrinth's opening is right in front of her. She turns to look at you, and you can't clearly see her face with the labyrinth's light. "Sayaka." She says, simply.

She looks at you, before she starts walking to the labyrinth's entrance. "Just leave."

It'll be hard, but you'll do your damnedest. You take a deep breath.

[x] "Want some help? (I'll let you have the Seed)"

"I don't need your fucking help."

"Then how about this?" You say as you grip your sword. "How about we have a contest? If I beat it first, I get the seed. How's that sound?"

Kyouko grits her teeth. "You're not gonna let me be, are you?"

You recoil a little at that.

"...Fine. Fuck it." She makes a spear and slams it against the ground. It whips outwards, before it quickly straightens up. "Let's go."

She walks inside, and the barrier entrance remains open right in front of you.

You don't see anyone out here. It's just you and the cold alleyway. And the shadow of a human being standing on a building above you.

You follow her and you both wind up in a rather strange place. It's covered in thorns and barbed wire. Wherever you look, there's some semblance of metal and steel around it. Above you is a ceiling of wire, and around you everything seems still.

"...What the heck."

"You can swear, Sayaka." Kyouko says, flatly. "Now why the hell did you fucking follow me?" You still can't see her face.

"Because you left all of a sudden." You say. "And maybe, maybe it was something I did or something I-!"

"I don't want a fucking apology, Sayaka." She says. "I wanted to be alone. That's why I fucking left." She's angry. You can tell. But you can't tell what she's angry about.

"We're here to kill a witch, right?" You say. "Then we'll do that. Look..." You sigh. "We can talk about this later. But right now, we need to focus."

Kyouko grits her teeth. "You shouldn't have-"

"I know." You say. "I know you want to be alone, but you know what?" You look at her. "I can't do that. Like..." You sigh. "...Why am I even talking. We need to focus."

You begin looking in one part of the area, and she looks in another. You can see that the world is kind of strange, in that nothing really seems to be changing even as you walk upon it. The brittle-looking wires stay perfectly still even as you walk all over them. "See anything?"

"No." She says, forcefully. "You?"

"For the love of..." It's then, though that you touch a piece of wire that seems to shake. "...Huh. That's strange."

You look at it...before it suddenly moves faster and faster. It whips away before it disappears out of sight...and then the other wires begin moving out of the way. They seem...jerky. Almost stop-motion-like in how they moved. Suddenly, a gigantic mannequin, one with an empty pair of eyes and an open, gaping mouth, began to rise from beneath the landscape. Wires weaved from inside of its body, and several of them rose from atop its head and laced themselves into its back. It seems to stretch and struggle, and below its right arm you can even see human bones.


...Why can't there be any nice bunny witches? Why do they all have to look bizarre?

Kyouko turns to it and, for once, you can see her face. Her eyes look a little puffy and red. She's been crying...but right now she just looks enraged. "Fucking finally." She mutters.

Quickly, you take a look at your own Soul Gem.

OOC: Adjusted because people complained. And let's get to it. EDIT: AND I MADE THIS FUCKING THING MORE THAN AN HOUR AGO BUT NOOOOOOOOO FUCKING LAG.

She takes off and, before you can do anything, she slices upwards with her spear. The cut shreds several wires, but not before the base's mains upport bends out of the way, and it tries to hit her with one of its wire-covered arms. She screams as she runs across it, cutting more wires as she rushes the head.

Your first shot hits the arm, only to be shredded by the wires. The next two miss, and the last ones smash into the arm. The wood underneath is cracked, but it's not as much as you liked.

Just as you say that, Kyouko then takes her spear, does a flying leap, and smashes the flat end into its face. Its head jerks to the side as the spear shatters on impact. Kyouko grins before it turns towards her with its own creepy smile. In a split second, you can see the wires in its eyes and mouth shifting.

"Not this time!" You shout. You rush forwards, just as the vines begin to come out of its face. "Eat this!"

You make yourself a sword that's easily bigger than your body, and you smash it across the face. Bits of wood and mask go flying as Kyouko drops to the ground. You swing the gigantic sword around your head once, before you bring it down hard on its face. The mask cracks more, as the wires begin to leak through the cracks. The next strike misses, and in that time, it grabs your wrist with just one whip of the wire. You feel it jerking you slightly, before you let out a huge, angry scream.

"NO YOU WON'T!" Your grip intensifies as your cutlass seems to glow with power, and you blast it across the face. The strike sends the witch, base and all, reeling as the wires whip around it at high speed. Suddenly, it lets out a shrill, echoing laugh, as it grabs your wrist. The grab slows down your blade, and it's then that you can see that the head is only one more hit away from destruction.

You shout, before you're immediately jerked around by the wire. You can feel yourself being whipped around at high speed, and the wire's beginning to dig into your wrist. "Ow!"

[X]Dispell the current sword, spawn another in your free hand.

You let go of the giant sword, and with a huge clang it bounces off of the wire-covered ground once before it dissolves in a cloud of blue magic.

You shred the wire and you hit the ground with a slide. You can feel your feet digging into the wire, before you quickly realize that it's bending because of the force of your throw. You hold your good sword in your hand, and when you stop, everything seems to drop down, and the wires seem to collapse onto themselves behind you.

"What the fuck was that?!" Kyouko shouts.

"I am awesome!" You shout back. "That's me being friggin' awesome!"

She rolls her eyes before she quickly stabs the witch's damaged mask with her blade. The witch doesn't visibly react to the impact, as it seems almost bored by it. It grabs the blade that's embedded, but not before she leaps up and smashes it with one last hit. The witch freezes as the mask collapses...and then wires shoot out everywhere. The witch's movements become even more choppy, wild and erratic. The arms shake wildly, before the bones are ejected from its right arm and sent flying into the scenery around it. The chest shakes, and a ball that was right beneath it is covered in more and more wire.

...Well that's lovely.

You bring a hand back and shove the sword forwards at high speed. It goes hurtling through the air blade-over-hilt before it sticks in the side of the core. It stays upright among the wires for a second...before they whip around and snap it.

You see its left arm whipping out, before the mannequin bit inside of it is quickly crushed. The wires turn to a whirling cylinder of death and destruction as wood chippings are churned inside of it. Meanwhile, Kyouko's running up to it with a massive number of spears around her, before she sends a storm of them its way.

...She's going to get her gem very corrupted very quickly.
