SayakaQuest: Trauma is a Thing

Kraken, actually. I try to avoid referencing WQ; it's rude to Moid.
It'd only be rude if you were, like, "MAN REMEMBER WITCH QUEST? MAN WITCH QUEST WAS SO MUCH BETTER. MOID SUCKS COMPARED TO CHIBI. OH MY GOD WITCH QUEST OH OH MY GOD I'M SO TURNED ON OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD OH GOOOOOO-"

Even so. I try not to do anything that might give offence, whether people say it's okay or not. Makes social interaction a pain in the ass, but it's a good attitude for job hunting.

Introducing Kyouko to Everyone [117]
[X] Get goin'.

You look at your mom and your friends. "I'll be heading out now!" You say. "Gotta go meet Kyouko!"

Your mom nods. "Alright. Just let me know when you're back, alright?"

You nod back. "Okay. See yah!" You leave them all there and start running over to the forest. Someone's on top of a nearby building, watching Madoka's house silently.

It takes you all of twenty minutes to get there. When you reach it, it's nighttime, the sun has since gone down, and you can see a ruined, disheveled building among the trees. You walk slowly through it, dinner in hand, when you see Kyouko sitting. "Hey!"

Her back's turned away from you, and she's staring at the tree. Just as you shout, she perks up. "Sayaka?" She turns around. "Oh, hey!" She grins. "Didn't think you'd be here so soon!"

"I got you some food!" You say with a grin. "I mean, you didn't eat that much of their food last time so I thought that I'd get you some more."

"Heh." She grins. "Thanks. I mean, it was good last time, but I ran off. Kinda felt like shit for that." She rubs the back of her head. "Did they throw it away?"

"Actually..." You raise up a bag. "They kept it in case you came back."

"Oh!" She smiles. "Tell 'em I said 'thanks'. That's actually pretty fuckin' cool of them, not gonna lie." She grabs it and begins chowing down.

[OPTION SELECT]
[] Try talking to Kyouko.

[] Look around.

[] Look at the building.

[] Slice a tree.

[] EXPERIMENT.

Remember, guys, this isn't AQ. We're not in a simulation. Experimenting causes despair. We don't have free reign to do whatever the fuck we want, so let's keep it sensible.

There's also the possibility that magic usage attracts the attention of Witches. Or... other things.

[X] EXPERIMENT.
-[X] For the purposes of your power, what exactly is a 'sword'? Can we make a Naginata? Can we shoot swords like bullets? How sharp can we make them?
-[X] Is despair/corruption considered a 'wound' you can heal on other people? Might be important, if someone's griefing out and we don't have seeds. It would be taking their corruption and adding it to ours, if it worked.

The second one's really important. If it works, it means we have a way to stop a despair spiral, and we might be able to 'cure' other negative emotions.

Homu gonna Homu, I see.

[x] first things first: modify the cape to make it safer. Break away clasp, short shawl(Artorias style), turn it into light armor, etc.

Huh? Was there invisitext? On my phone so I can't check.

Well, hopefully you're less prone to losing track of the plot, and/or punishing for blinking wrong. Seriously, if you think SB is normally paranoid? No one wanted to even step out the door for fear of something horrible happening.
along with the use of Jester to actively fuck with the players

.
Really? Wierd, my phone removes the invisitext formatting automatically. I'm immune to it.

Someone was watching Madoka's house as we left, and Homura's the most logical candidate unless Moid becomes a total dickwaffle and goes"LOL Oriko and you weren't around to protect her now everyone's dead."

Anyway yes Witchquest had its flaws now can we please stop talking about it

Another very good experiment to try out:

[X] See if we can make a shield.
[X] Maybe also see if we can do related things like Kyoko's ability to conjure up barriers? (Maybe for us, it'd be conjuring up a shield and then it projects a stationary force-field in an area while remaining immobile. Instead of the odd chain-barrier thing Kyoko has.)

That was actually an option for us in combat once. We went for keeping things simple though, not wanting to experiment in the middle of combat.

If we can make a shield, the next thing I want to try out, is if we can make it float, freeing up a hand. Then see if we can make several shields, and have them act as defense for us. Maybe they'd be able to move to intercept attacks against us.

Everything besides the several shields thing sounds good. Like I said earlier, experimenting causes corruption. After everything we do, we should check the gem, to see just how much it causes.

[x] see if we can make an axe
[x] see if the power can technically classify an uber awesome electric guitar as an axe
- if so, See if we can win via the power of MUSIC

We should also check out movement boosting powers; canon Sayaka has shown air platforms and some sort of 'charge up for a second -> burst of superspeed' powers.

Yeah, I've been trying to keep a balance between "Oh shit this could actually really kill us" and "OH COOL I CAN ACTUALLY MAKE FUCKING CHOICES THAT HAVE A FUCKING IMPACT."
