SayakaQuest: Trauma is a Thing

Well...I'm going to be honest, I don't really see any way to salvage this. The best we can do is to try to sweep it under the rug without making Kyoko storm off to have a cry/punch things.

[X] Hey, Madoka, didja get that new Karaoke game? Maybe we can play it after! Hopefully Homura has a better singing voice than I do, hahaaaa....
[X] Eat dinner

[X] Tatsuya, come help Sayaka-nee defuse this situation with adorable toddler babble!

[x] Just eat.

Won't toddler babble make light of a touchy situation?

Firstly looks like Homura can relax, we can see the other shoe about to drop.
hmm, i am not sure what to pick, a bad roll could cause Kyoko and then Sayaka to witch out.
oh fuck it.

I'm pretty sure Momo was a lot older than Tatsuya.
The exact age doesn't matter. What's important is drawing attention to the younger sibling is probably not a good idea to do in front of the girl who walked in on her sister's mutilated body.

The best case scenario is Kyoko's bottled-up grief coming out and crying her eyes out at the Kaname's kitchen table. Most likely is she turns her coping mechanism on and storms out in a rage. then cries her eyes out when she thinks nobody's looking.

Other then that... I got nothing.

[x] Talk to...
-[x] Madoka.
-[x] Kyouko.
[x] Maintain cheerful attitude, because whatever the heck is going on it's obvious that someone has to distract others before they can stew over it. Talk about arcade games, tell funny stories, complain about homework, just fill every silence with light fun things before they can get awkward and keep everything positive.

Homura's obviously socially useless, Madoka's parents are going to be awkward, little kid's a landmine as noted. Nothing for it but to forge ahead at full power and hope that we can dominate this conversation with positives. Madoka can fortunately be relied upon as a conversational partner and bringing Kyoko into the talking consistently should keep her distracted from certain parents obviously dwelling on her, hopefully enough to bring her back to a decent mood if we're lucky.

An Awkward Dinner [51]
[X] "Hey, Madoka, didja get that new Karaoke game? Maybe we can play it after! Hopefully Homura has a better singing voice than I do, hahaaaa...."

She smiles, but you can tell that she feels the tension in the air tonight. "Well, sure! Bring Homura and Kyouko, too! I think they'd have fun with it!"

You force a smile. You have no idea how she's doing it, but she's keeping a smile much better than you can.

[X] Eat dinner.

You try eating dinner. You got yourself a bit of Turkey breast and a wing, and are eating them while keeping an eye around. You can see Kyouko eating slowly, which seems rather odd considering how she seemed so excited earlier.

...

You really want to salvage this. The tension's building. Things are getting worse. You're getting stressed out. There has to be some way to relieve the pressure...

[X] Tatsuya, come help Sayaka-nee defuse this situation with adorable toddler babble!

"Uh..." You look at Madoka's younger brother. "Tatsuya!" You grin like an idiot. "Uh...hi!" You're out of options. Might as well try it.

He smiles and waves. "Sa-ya-ka!" He laughs. "Sa-ya-ka!"

"Yes, help aunt Sayaka by being cute and stuff!" You say like an idiot...and then you hear the sound of a chair sliding across the floor.

Kyouko stands up, and she leaves the table. Everyone's staring in shock, and you can see Homura staring after her.

[OPTION SELECT]
[] Follow.

[] Apologize.

[] Stay put.

[] Eat.

You know, this vote's a lot more directed. More purposeful than the others I've seen thus far.

-[x] And above all. Don't panic.

What the hell, Moid, I retracted my vote. That option didn't amount to three votes.
Actually it got 3. Which tied it with the other part of the vote.

[x] quickly apologize
[x] Follow.

That moment when somebody points out a landmine...

Aaaand we jump straight into it anyway, because there were not enought people active to do something.
