SayakaQuest: Trauma is a Thing

Run by fiat. Might switch to combat rolls in order to make things more even.
Would Kyoko get those roll bonuses if it was switched to dice roll? Her positioning's different, but we are currently drawing aggro. Support your tank.

Then why the hell did my last DnD charachter get incinerated by lightning while in a cave?
Millions of years of static discharge built up because the cave was naturally insulated, and you happened to step on the one spot on the floor that would conduct electricity, resulting in all the built-up static to discharge at once through your unfortunate, unfortunate toon?

...That's a good question. Actually, that's just a good question in general.

Oh my god I can't stop laughing. That's so awful but so, so hilarious oh my god.
And it's nothing compared to the guy who poked a giant brain with a stick. That guy died later on, to more mundane causes, and when he came back, this happened:

*bloke descends from the heavens in a pillar of light* "Hi!"

"'Sup."

"'Sup."

"Howzitgoin'?"

"What took you so long? We're done here."

(Actually, the exact phrase was "Que chingada madre?", but I don't know the exact translation for it.)
BingTranslate tells me "That Bitch." Literal would be "What [insert curse] mother." or something. I had hispanics in my unit in the Marines but I never got beyond high school levels.

Interestingly, this is better than Google Translate's, which is "That bitches."

See, Bing can do something right!

The problem is translating the word "chingada". It's a multipurpose swear word that is a noun ("Vete a la chingada!"), an adjective, ("Chingada madre!") and a verb ("Te voy a chingar!"), and the meaning is greatly dependant of context. For instance "Te voy a chingar!" means, "I will fuck you up!", but "Me chingaron!" means "They swindled me!".

There's no word for it in English, AFAIK, except maybe "fuck" and its derivatives, but we have another, completely different word for that.

Battle, Koronis [59]
OOC: Man, it's almost like they're apologizing for all the terrible-ass rolls they've given you. I shit you not. Also, all NPC rolls will be behind-the-scenes.

[X] "Kyouko, get the head!"

You shout, before you're immediately jerked around by the wire. You can feel yourself being whipped around at high speed, and the wire's beginning to dig into your wrist. "Ow!"

[X]Dispell the current sword, spawn another in your free hand.

You let go of the giant sword, and with a huge clang it bounces off of the wire-covered ground once before it dissolves in a cloud of blue magic.

[x]Cut yourself loose

[ROLL: 89]

[ROLL: 97] [DAMAGE AVOIDANCE ROLL]

You shred the wire and you hit the ground with a slide. You can feel your feet digging into the wire, before you quickly realize that it's bending because of the force of your throw. You hold your good sword in your hand, and when you stop, everything seems to drop down, and the wires seem to collapse onto themselves behind you.

"What the fuck was that?!" Kyouko shouts.

"I am awesome!" You shout back. "That's me being friggin' awesome!"

She rolls her eyes before she quickly stabs the witch's damaged mask with her blade. The witch doesn't visibly react to the impact, as it seems almost bored by it. It grabs the blade that's embedded, but not before she leaps up and smashes it with one last hit. The witch freezes as the mask collapses...and then wires shoot out everywhere. The witch's movements become even more choppy, wild and erratic. The arms shake wildly, before the bones are ejected from its right arm and sent flying into the scenery around it. The chest shakes, and a ball that was right beneath it is covered in more and more wire.

...Well that's lovely.

Btw Moid did you draw the series of frames that became the diabeetus?

Also...why exactly are we voting for the thing that has the least likelyhood to succeed? Throwing a sword(s) means we will still take that penatly to avoiding damage and have a harder target to hit to not be damaged.
