Bravo, Omicron! I like it very much. The perfect way to begin the new world - leaving behind the Old World's sins and skeletons-in-closets.

Err, clarifying: I mean specifically the update with Cirucci and Nemo, not the one with Shinji et al. >:^)

As for the vote, thinking very, very long term here:
[q] Rey

The plan is simple:
  1. One day Rey may grow up to have a family of her own - thus Grandma Cirucci and Mama Rey.
  2. That generation in turn may grow up to have families of their own- thus Great-Grandma Cirucci and Grandma Rey.
  3. Cirucci's great-grandchildren may be persuaded to refer to Cirucci's daughter (their grandmother) as "Gran."
  4. On that day Cirucci can finally say that she has a 'Gran Rey' to her name!
:V

In all serious, I do like the idea of just a normal name devoid of any grand meaning to live up to or legacy to inherit from its previous bearer, which I feel would contradict the 'we moved on' resolution.
(No matter how much it pains me to give up the meme potential of "Tier Kaname Elcorbuzier, you were named after two of the bravest people I ever knew" and the like :p)

Got no particular preference myself, though, and I admit to absolute ignorance as to what does or doesn't fit with the naming scheme of arrancar. I'll check back later and see how the winds are blowing.

"Isabelle" is an English spelling of Isabel, aka an actual Spanish name, which is what you'd want if that's your preference. Isabelle in Spanish would be said like, ee-sa-bey-ye, lol--"ll" is a y.

[X] Isabella

Arracnars are spanish, and we need double letters.

Also, I do not want to name her after a god. Let her be normal. Let her be ordinary. Let her be loved.

[X] Aisling

Gaelic for dream or vision. She'll be our vision and dreams for a better future. *shrugs*

Taking inspiration from 1 Corinthians 13, and the practice of naming children for what you hope they will become as adults.

1 Corinthians 13 said:
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

There's always the option of naming her for someone. Unfortunately, I can't think of any names associated with mantises...

EDIT: Also, it's good to know that this entire quest was a stealth Steven Universe AU. :D
