Uh, part of the current description of how the Simurgh's power works is saturating the area she 'sings' in with psionic energy that allows her to pre-post-cog. Of course, sufficiently understood psionics can probably be generated scientifically.

She canonically caught a sledgehammer swung as hard as an average human can manage, by the hammerhead, with one arm, and showed no signs it took her any effort.
She also explicitly stated that physical damage, up to and including "being chopped into cubes", could not kill her.
Both of those are from Curiosities of Lotus Asia and thus mainline Touhou canon.

Must be pretty new WoG or you're going Fanon here. The only WoG I'm aware of on the subjects only states that souls don't come up, entities don't have anything to do with them. If they exist, entities haven't discovered them and don't interact with them.
Which, mind you, is pretty convincing evidence for souls doing shit-all even if they do technically exist b/c entities would notice even the slightest influence, but the 'subset dimensional branch' thing at least I've never heard anything about.
See, the whole thing sounded like bullshit to me, but because I do not assume that I know everything I decided to give the benefit of the doubt

The supposed boundary manipulation you're using on Coil is much too arbitrary compared to the kind of boundary manipulation Yukari is known for. When Yukari's boundary manipulation is explained in various Touhou material, what she does makes sense in how two concepts are related. A good example being the boundary between the reflection of the surface of the moon and the actual surface. Fantasy and reality, night and day, life and death, points in space, all of those things make sense in how they relate and how they're separated by a boundary that can be manipulated.
It would be great if you could make applications of Yukari's power interesting and sensible, and not just unexplained applications of the no-limits fallacy.

Hey, gotta say, I really appreciate the constructive criticism!
With Coil, it's honestly more or less just taking away his free will. I guess a better boundary to be used would be something like [Free Willed / Enslaved], or maybe [Sapient / Unintelligent] or something. Really, anything that just renders him close to brain dead but able to mechanically answer questions. Something the like of which the SI Yukari can brute force, since there's little worrying about collateral damage to his mind.
I'll admit I'm abusing the no limits fallacy and going with memetic-power Yukari a bit, but I'm trying to have it make some sense. For example the first bit with connecting to the internet, basically shrunk/eliminated the border that would separate the laptop from the net. If something doesn't make sense, it's probably because I didn't articulate it quite right.
Ehh the internet issue just seems to be an evolution of the canon cell phones that Yukari uses in Gensokyo.

Conceptual powers are bullshit, and Touhou is full of conceptual powers. Like the ability to destroy anything, or the ability to straight up eat history, or the ability to grant true immortality. If you are to take the names of spell card litteraly one of her spell cards is called 'freeze sign: minus k' which means she can freeze things below absolute zero.

Which has absolutely no meaning in macroscopic definitions of temperature (where temperature is proportional to kinetic energy), and doesn't correspond to 'freezing' even if you look at statistical mechanics definitions where temperature is the rate of change of thermal energy by entropy.

Given the trope of the hammer (powers) and the nail (problems), it seems impossible to even consider mundane solutions without using a shard's power. The Entities have no creative thoughts whatsoever, absolutely rely on the host species to figure something out and gather as much data as they can. Unless Yukari has a specific boundary that can trivialise the issue, it seems pointless to try.

That's what I was thinking too, YukariSI has already broken logic several times so what's one more to make the entities self-sacrificing PR heroes? while keeping their mysterious persona and not being affiliated with any organization.
Now that I think about it what's the chances Yukari is mistaken as an entity?
All their power comes from stealing the technology of other species. If self insert Yukari destroys them, then she erases 30 years of misery and tragedy.

It'd be hilarious if Cauldron assumes this to be the case, but there isn't really a way for a certain precog to accurately gague Yukari since she's outside the cycle. But, if a Path could be modeled around her, it may be more difficult for her to deal with them. For now, they'll stick to a wait-and-see if she might hinder their plans.

Entities are normally completely immune to pre-cog powers which she is immunte to with her 'Man of Mystery' perk, Yukari in the outside is uncaring, selfish, arrogant, overpowered and call other people 'Humans' as if she isn't one, so it isn't too far off.
