Welp, it's late, so I'm going to try going to bed.

Please don't go too far forward without me.

C) Going to bed in a few minutes

But tomorrow's the last day before my weekend, so I can reply tomorrow evening.
Bah humbug.

I work 8 and a half hours a day, 10 or more if you include travel time!

Hell I've worked 10 out of the last 11 days! While on a completely different timezone

You know, I have other things in my life than roleplay. Can you please respect that?

Anyway, today went to hell. Bleh. Back now. And...

*inner pedanic comes out*

A Time Calcifier is not a goddamn weapon

just because it got modified and misused by Harren doesnt make it one

its just an anti-time-travel device

jeesus

(seriously Poptart you could have asked me what it does and its effect on timelines before saying it was hurting the timeline)

I...don't actually think I ever said it was a weapon. I never contradicted anybody on it (mostly because I didn't see anything about it, or take note of it if I did), but I never said it was. I said it was it stopped time travel -- and, as you told me, barred teleportation. Harren, now he's hurting the timeline no question. But the calcifier itself, I didn't label a weapon.

@PoptartProdigy

How injured should Vector be after the spirit bomb? She was caught in the blast trying to save everyone, remember.

I actually timed it so she'd be about to pop into get Bassoon, so she'd be rocked but relatively uninjured.

Ah. The speech I was writing had Vector wheezing and coughing up blood as she went on. Guess in addition to pruning the thing for space as @KnightDisciple suggested, I now have to edit all of that out too. Curses!

...I was the one who said it was a weapon? Which I was sorta of extrapolating due to the fact that it was going to break the timeline and kill everyone in the timeline?

Then that was me completely misunderstanding. I appologize.

...So what was going to be the thing that was going to cause the timeline to collapse then? Or was I confused about that as well?

I think it was the efforts of Harren to boost the King.

The original timeline had the Saiyan Gods running around, then Carrak (the kid) ran into the King on a patrol, flipped out, went Super Saiyan/Super Saiyan Blue, and the fight killed the planet. Probably gave time for an evacuation.

This timeline is ragged because the King and Harren power/soul-drained most of the planet's population to boost his power such that he had a chance of winning, which would have basically been a Bad End.

The Calcifier was an issue because it was locking in both our team and the Verdes and limiting our options for support, extraction, etc.

Sleeping
The forest was green on his home planet. Honestly, for all the comforts and stuff of the cities, Vegal much preferred the forests of the emerald Kingdom that covered a good 25% of the planet. It was easy to tell why this place was called the Emerald Kingdom.

Through trees and over grassy plains Vegal flew, close to the ground. With the wind dancing on his skin and great Feers overhead, Vegal flew. Away from all the anxiety, stress and secrets of his life, Vegal flew.

He flew and he flew, until a gleam of pinkish-blue light caught his eye, gleaming from a mountaintop. Curiously, he angled his flight toward it and found himself above icy crags and bare rock. It was Mount Goten, the fourth-tallest mountain on the planet. And on a crag just below the very tip of the mountain, Vegal saw
it.

Driven deep into the bare rock was a sword, but what a sword it was. A simple hand-and-a-half sword, the pommel gleamed a curious mix of pink and blue, and the guard was a simple bronze affair slightly bent toward the tip. Though most of the blade was embedded out of sight, Vegal could feel a sense of... realness, he could say, from the sword. Like it was just
there more than other things. Curiously he stepped forward, hand already raised to touch it...

"Wait, what? Who are- No..."

Spinning around, Vegal saw what at first glance looked like a little, blond-haired girl gaping at him, before he saw what she really was and everything shattered and twisted-

-[-0-]-

Vegal snapped awake, and heavily resisted the urge to jerk up. Instead, he just lay on his bunk, forcing his heartrate and breathing to calm, and mused on what he Saw... and what he'd Seen.

Soon, he promised himself. Soon they'll come for me. I'll be out of this place.

Soon.

You know, here's what I don't get.

Chronoa is an accomplished magician, one with literally millions of years of experience. So why doesn't she just use a Mind Delve to get us all the information on the Emerald Kingdom that Vegal has in that thick skull of his? It's way better than trying to build up a rapport with a sworn enemy like him.

Look, I have a several-thousand word post to pare down and substantially edit. A post that wasn't complete to begin with. Today, I had to rush to Manhattan for a field trip and then promptly rush back to the school to take my next class. I've had an annoying day. And I have work due next week too. In a manner of speaking, I'm "okay," but I'd really appreciate it if you, @Sucal, and @The Fourth Monado stopped bugging me. I have my reasons, and I'll post when it's ready. Got it?

Because A). It's hideously immoral, B). The sort of thing the Time Queen does (and thus, something she absolutely won't do) and C). [REDACTED]

Okay then, why doesn't she use her Authority to examine Vegal's past? She can get the same amount of information that way without the mind-rape.
Because of the nature of where he lives.

She'd be able to see to the point where he got picked up by the Emerald Kingdom, maybe a few points where he wasn't on-planet... and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

And what makes you think she hasn't tried?

I'm sorry.

So... Like, does Verde look like a regular SSJ4? Does he have red fur, or is it another color?

Red fur rushes down his body and his clothes sear away where it burns its way into existence, leaving only a pair of pants. His hair grows longer still and bright red, and his eyes turn yellow. His tail lashes. An red-gold aura blasts out around him. "There is only one price for treason, and it is as inevitable as time."

@PoptartProdigy , @The Fourth Monado , I'm invoking Bassoon's rather extensive studies as a historian and archeologist. While he won't have point-for-point recollection of what all is "supposed" to happen, he can speak to things like "there was some kind of conflict, the planet itself died, but Saiyans survived), yes? He could give rough estimates of how many survived, where they went, what happened to the colonies, etc., yes?

*looks at what was supposed to happen*

...Pretty sure everyone on-planet died.
