You know if/when we get Primitive Psyker staffs the Duchy Psyker forces are going to be in for an awful time cause our Choirs already punch up given on average there weaker one on one compared to Duchy Psyker forces. So I wonder how the staffs will further boost our psyker combat potential.

Force weapons are basically magic weapons that can only be used by psykers, they also act as amplifiers for their powers.

In essence a force staff if they were also a weapon.
Ah so weapons that Eldar would use or various psyker Chaos marines or Space Marine Librarians and the like? It don't think it would work with us since the Choirs are groups something to research for sure but just down on the list.

Very cool to see our forces at work and the immediate gains from Voxx. Ill have questions later. Lost my quotes I wanted to respond to so I'll try just general thoughts.

- Van Zandt is coming next turn with reinforcements so we need at least as strong as we started off, if not more because that's what they might plan for. We will get a new SBG but also lose one to anti piracy, so maybe make 2 defense stations? Although it would be good to spread out the Military actions across turns.

- Our Sigrilla defense stations as part of a fortified planet contributed something like 4k strikecraft, and that was a half-SBG worth defense. If full actions ones are a SBG they should be lousy with strikecraft and I'm sure tough enough to take a lot more damage than light cruisers can.

- We will be doing a ton of Navy actions over the next few turns but I think getting Psyker staves over research will be better, we should be taking a bunch of research before we worry about designing new ships otherwise they will be outdated immediately, so we should slowly work at both research and psytech. If we need immediate long range ships theres both Sagi-S and other Lancers we can make.

Psyker staves will help both the ground war and Choirs on ships, Holy Sigils soon would be a good follow up.

- Doing a Doctrine update starts a subturn right? The current write in seems both too specific and doesn't give enough direction.

Take the Shipwrigts offer for an additional action.
1 Action on anti-piracy
5 Actions on defensive stations.

-[X] [Free][Navy] Our Doctrine has proven effective against minor powers, but it has shown its limitations in a lack of ability to pursue a fleeing enemy, and its vulnerability in the bombardment phase of battle. We must make an effort to integrate Lance Weapons more properly into our battle line, as the Sagittarius-S and enemy forces have shown its potential, and we cannot afford to be paying such a premium to contest them. Also, how are Autoloaders still a problem? We just worked on improving our automation! Look into that if we can.
-[X] [Free][Navy] Deploy all of our free Lupus-S ships to the front line at Echish, and turn this place into a fortified hell for any force they try to sneak in. This should compensate for the lack of Minotaur while Basilisk is brought up to battle-ready status.

Most of this plan is taken from @Alectai. Given that we've been winning the naval conflict, but that we're outnumbered about 100 to 1 in the war to take the Hives, I think doing the research to improve our Infantry is more important this turn.

I'd prefer the second, but I'm posting both.

Can I prevail onto you the advantages of Psyker Staffs? Considering how many Choirs we have (the Voxxian Choirs) that could use some efficency.

[X] Plan: Prepare for the Next Stage--Missiles Matter Version

I think our ground forces are doing fine. Hurting, but fine. We just need to hold the planet and they'll win. Given that our housing is still ticking, there's not a lot of reason to try to win early. The real threat over the next 5 turns is in space.

Furthermore, I think that both the missiles and the cannonade are actually critical to space combat, and the speed upgrade is going to be a huge deal as well, especially given the enemy's focus on weapons that can be dodged (torpedoes & null-nets). We've tasked the Scorpio's to be our spearhead against the null-nets, since they're fast enough to dodge them. The Scorpio's primary weapons are missiles, which means upgrading the missiles will help them. Additionally, the enemy's most dangerous ships (once we build lance-equipped counters to the Flyssa-class ships) will be the null-nets, and cannonade is almost special-purpose built to enable heavy cruisers to snipe light cruisers from long range. It's basically a single-target variant of the nova cannon that would counter the null-nets very effectively.

So, that one research (--[X] Expanded Snapshot Cogitation Improvements and Tetratek ARc Cannonade) contains both short & long-term counters to van Zandt's naval doctrine and significant buffs for our own.

[X] Plan Infantry Focus

Or

Prepare for the Next Stage--Choirs Matter Version
is a close second. Getting in Infantry research early in the Primus fight is better I think though.

Is it? I remember it being anti-fortification focused but I couldn't find much info on it. Heavy Prow Lance seems like it would be the best sniper with Extreme range +150% and guaranteed hit.
