I know we can. But the thing is, I also want to get up to Civ XV relatively soon before we get hit with the infrastructure costs from Voxx Primus, so……I say again. We will be able to easily make good our losses and be back to 5 SBGs + the Lamenters with one action next turn
I know we can. But the thing is, I also want to get up to Civ XV relatively soon before we get hit with the infrastructure costs from Voxx Primus, so……
I say again. We will be able to easily make good our losses and be back to 5 SBGs + the Lamenters with one action next turn.
Yes, we will want more SBGs in the long run, but the Free Duchy shouldn't have enough force ready to go within a short time to crack a 5 SBG spearhead. But taking only 3 actions that we can't control where they go when we can very easily at least break even with as little as 2 AP committed per turn, and potentially get even more than that--and at the very least, the AP earned from this is going to be in places we control for maximum effect? Because a reminder, we're going to have 5 AP per turn for the next 5 turns!
Please, if I--the Doomsayer Supreme--am saying "The fears of us needing a sixth SBG in the next turn or two are overblown. If they had that kind of slack in their deployments, they'd have actually committed it here", I think it's fair to say that we're not in imminent danger of destruction!
Agreed. We're more stable than I expected, and have a bit of breathing room.
I worry if we do the study immediately action then it'll scatter to random things (of the 6 options that will be available) and we'll need to spend four actions to get what we need to address our issues anyway. So we might as well direct those actions and make them more effective.
As I said, at a bare minimum, with 2 AP per turn on this, we do better than break even with the Actions pick, since we actually control where the AP goes. Throwing it into a gacha of 6 options and most of them requiring 2 AP anyway sounds like a good way to get virtually nothing out of this.
What the fuck is this? No, there's no way that we have two AP free the next two turns. We can do one AP a turn, maybe, and that will potentially if we manage end up with us breaking even.
The only reason we "Don't" have two AP per turn free in the next two turns is that you've somehow convinced yourself that Van Zandt can materialize 6-7 SBGs per turn and hurl them at us, and if we don't get ahead of their magical hull production we're all dead.
...weird. I know it's crazy that the QM goes, "You're going to want to be able to produce more SBGs to face their counter-attack" and I go, "Oh, I guess we should produce more SBGs."
Also if it is psytech we will get the free research timer up as well. It's just a tad better for the action Econ. Like just using the info we are given. One tech is less than one action(so a free point into another tech), one is two actions( so one action) and one is more than 2(so 50% there could help). It's like 2 free research right here
Your assumption is the counter-attack will be instantaneous. Mine is that it'll take 30-40 years to materialize.
What do you mean? Isn't Psytech research actions?
Nope, it's separate, or else it'd be a gimme.
What the fuck is this nonsense? They have Navigators, etc.
Yes, and they also have Three or four other enemies they're in a state of total war against Which you seem to keep ignoring.
