And yet further versions! The latter two instead start in on Marine training... which is valuable because we're someone who might have some credit there. But I'd actually argue that military recruiting offices are better earlier than later.

Apparently right now a lot of his army consists of mindless, endlessly obedient drones that are also incapable of tactics because they've been "Resocialized" with Sci-Fi Brainwashing that won't happen with Volunteers because it's a waste. So his army having a greater proportion of more competent people... but people who can actually have their minds changed, isn't actually a bad thing.

Hm. The volunteers versus neural resocialization thing is a valid point.

...apparently canonically this is how the Dominion Military is described by the QM (on Discord):

"the UED shows up during the Brood War with advanced concepts like 'field medics' and 'dedicated air-superiority fighters' and basically punches the Dominion in the throat."

...so, like, yeah. Obviously that's canon, there's no promising that ANYTHING will happen like it did in canon.

But the Dominion military, even after rejecting "literally all zombies and then a few marines" as their thing, had pretty, uh, BASIC tactics.

Unfucking Korhal is going to make the boss happy and the sooner we give him his planet, the better. Trees will help in that.

I'm so confused by all these plans. It's almost like I'm really there, sorting through paperwork in a Vardona office complex. I suddenly empathize with Chuck a lot more.

[X] Plan: We Hold The Course, We Build Income, V3D--Anti-Environment, and Jarhead

Approval voting because genuinely there are so many plans that I'm afraid that if I don't one I don't like will win, if it comes down to a tie between these two somehow my preference is D.

@The Laurent I honestly wish you had a clearer way of writing out your plans. The vote tally doesn't show the invested dice for some actions and a few actions are outright deleted (e.g. Hire Personal Staff is gone). While Simon's plan template is quite wordy, I find it provides more useful details such as completion odds and dice allocation.

That said, while I disagree with the plan name, I prefer to put all 3 Environment dice on Tyrador Farmsteads instead of splitting the focus with Korhal Regreening, since the latter is a long-term aesthetic project while the Farmsteads directly addresses the material situation on Tyrador? A more accurate name for the plan would be: For People Who Care About Refugees

I have no clue why it's missing, I've checked the formatting again and again on this stuff.

Wait... is that it? I just changed up the *entire* format of the thing to be easier to read, but the Vote Tally is still noting an old version of it. I think someone before the post where I included it voted for... shoot, going back into this stuff.

E: And there we go, fixed. I somehow had to delete my previous post?

The big issue with my format is that it's adapted from another plan quest where we're more likely to be running 2-3 projects at once in the same category. When we're usually only doing one project per category, it gets more redundant; I'm thinking of switching to something where I only branch out like:

-[] Heavy Industry
--[] Thing1
--[] Thing2

...When there's actually two or more things.

In all fairness to Laurent, it's not just aesthetics. Note the reports from Korhal about how the planet's been burned down to bare rock with all that radioactive dust blowing around? Getting some plants growing and establishing some kind of topsoil coverage would do a lot to discourage the radioactive dust bowl conditions that make working on Korhal miserable and living there nearly unthinkable to anyone not being ordered to live there at gunpoint by Mengsk.
