Damn, looks like i was to late, GAH IT'S NEVER A HERETEK PRIMARCH COME ON

Sorry mate, I kinda winged it with the first vote. This one has a clearer timer.

Maybe our pirate will be a Heretek as well, hm? ;)

- Rebel Nobles would have been nice since only one other primarch was said to have had a loving family - Guiliman

Well, the primarchs for the most part did have family of one stripe or another. Konrad was the only primarch to have nobody on his homeworld.

Though now that I think about it I can't think of one's name other than Konor, Bobby G's father.

[X] - Write-in: Ching Sun-Sin. To go with his perpetually searching look, Ching has striking sea blue irises, which shift like the waves. They practically glow when Ching sails. Smooth skinned, with a body sleek enough that one would think it was designed to be as streamlined as possible…

Has Korean facial features. Not a blemish or wound to be seen.

If Aproval is allowed, here is my contribution to the name
[] Ching Lóng Auramite
to
a) Keep our adopted mother's family name
b) Invoke the most legendary literary pirate - Long John Silver
c) Our name would literally be "Dragon", how cool is that?

Yes, new write-ins are allowed ;) I'm adding them to the post to increase their chances of being seen, but if they get votes without being put up there it'll still count.

yes, it is

now though, I wonder how a Pirate Primarch would be like, freedom loving? or cruel and greedy? perhaps both or perhaps neither, either way IT WILL BE COOL!
That'll be up to you and your fellow questers, my fine feathered friend. ;)

The vote was over wasn't it
My fault. I wasn't sure how the vote scheduler worked and also didn't think I'd get 3 pages worth of votes in like a day

But vote timer's on for this next one.

- the other newish wh40k quest (rogue trader) already chose AI and machines so i'm picking something different

Emphasis on the loving family part. Also Guiliman's foster mother/seneschal, Tarasha Euten had a significant influence on him and how to be a proper ruler and a good man.

In any case, what's the tech level on this planet? There are pistols and rifles mentioned here, so I assume it's somewhere around the level of the 16th or 17th century?

Presumably, but the Knights mentioned are the exception it seems, so a Ocean Knight World...cool.

Edit: Upon some thought, there might be some hidden tech about on this world, that might be useful to keep in mind, even if it's just lost Knights we can drag up from the depths.

Primarch quest are rare so they fill up quickly if they have good execution

No pressure xD

Well, it sounds like we may be getting a family of some sort here.

It's a bit schizotech. For the most part I'm thinking Renaissance/Age of Sail. There's guns and rifles, as well as triple mast galleons, but since this is 40k there's also Knights and you might find things like voxcasters and power swords (mostly with the tech monks)

They're the biggest and most noticeable exception. It's a bit of an open secret that the Kuji-nan (tech monks) are far more advanced than anyone else, but the issue is that they help repair the few bits of high tech that others have (most prominently the Knights) so most people have to put up with it.

That might change when you go knocking on their door.

Ah. Yeah that's fair. Fulgrim and Sangunius had families that loved them considerably, but Guilliman's the one who has them both directly mentioned.

Good to know and keep in mind, don't mess with the Monks, which i think is fair to do if they are willing to make a deal, might be good to keep them on our good side.

I like this option, though the Ching Long Auramite one is fun too, but maybe we can earn the Dragon epithet another way.

[X] — Weather Sense

Ever notice how many times warp storms in 40k seem to screw the protagonists? Now imagine a Primarch (and a legion) who just sails through those.

[X] – Machine repair

While I like the idea of better navigation and perhaps even warp Psykery, I think being able to repair and improve on almost anything is better, as when fucked over by warp storms we can just repair! tech priests rep and all that is good too.

Plus I am no fan of warp Fuckery and Bullshitery...
