No, SV, You Are the Forest! (Riot Quest)

@Chaosbrain and @Olivebirdy, could I convince you to spend your actions on Growing the Forest or a Tranquil Tree instead?

We only have 4 special tree slots left, 3 of which are going to Scoop Trees as a result of the Forest focuses. If either of your votes have higher priority, you'll spend the last slot on a Soothing Tree, and we won't be able to finish the third Tranquil Tree until Mag 4 is done.

The first Soothing Tree was really good, because it unlocked an entirely new action. But each subsequent tree gives one die per turn. Not even success, one die. That's a terrible rate. In contrast, our third Tranquil tree will give all our research an extra .10 multiplier, which (using last turn's numbers) works out to something like 4-5 successes per turn.

So our second Soothing Tree is nearly useless, but our third Tranquil Tree is one of the best things we can grow right now.

EDIT: Somehow I missed that the Soothing Tree also gives a success to the Soothe action. So, call it 1.5 successes per tree per turn, unless we are Soothing multiple different things at the same time. Still worse than a Tranquil Tree by a lot, especially since Research is so critical at this point in the quest and Soothing hasn't accomplished much.

To echo the above, research is what unlocks new actions for people to take so if you dislike your current action choices powering up our research can only help

I'm leery of over-committing to growth before I see the return on going up an order of magnitude and how the difficulty of that scales.
Growth is nice, but this is like playing Age of Empires and filling 3/4 of your pop with villagers.

Who's the research tree? I'm an elder mind tree on wormhole research, so I can change places with them and that'll meet the requirement.

No, that's enough. 5 + 4 + 2 = 11 dice. Research Trees contribute 5 dice to the Ingaba agreement, according to last turn's log.
