Semper Ad Meliora (Code Geass/Britannian Royalty Quest)

More on this action...
[ ] The New Heaven: So far, your only information as regards this potential attack comes from Minister Weber. You, however, have a number of resources at your disposal he does not even have an inkling of. You'll do your best to ferret out where the attack will target. Cost: 500; Upkeep: 0; DC: ???; Rewards: Knowledge of where the New Heaven Pirate Faction will attack, confirmation of attack plans.
Slayer Anderson, does Sayako's SL bonus help in these kind of actions, or is it for actions that happen in Combat Turn -time or the like?
SL 5 Perk: +1 Reroll to delegated infiltration or covert operations missions.

[X] Plan Expansion
-[X] Agent Activation: Finishes This Year.
-[X] Shadow Administration
-[X] Animal Testing
-[X] Ruin Delvers
-[X] Recruitment
-[X] The Crystalline Orb

Happy really belated birthday Slayer. I wish you enough luck that others accuse you of having a stash of Felix Felicis.

[X] Plan: The Calm Before the Heavenly Storm

Can agree with the arguments. While I would have liked to grab the third action a greater level of success could help. Not to mention if we roll high enough we might find out if New Heaven was hired again like in the case of their attack on us or if they are attacking out of their own volition. And any trail might grow cold later. Learning has the options that I advocated for before.
As for Piety since those are 1 turn actions (and the Orb was waiting all the time) and they are basic actions that will help with the fundamentals I think we should grab them. The only thing I am conflicted about is that the best actions to take next turn would both be 2 year ones locking out Piety choices for 1 turn. Since both Recruitment and Alchemical Practitioners would help with our basics before we start working on implementing Psionic Engineering. One to get enough people to work and the other to create psionic materials for the tech.

As to preempt anyone. I messed up and I acknowledge it. Lost the right to say I never caught a moderators attention due to my own fault. Should have known better.

Another reason for spying on the New Heaven: We only have Minister Weber's word for what he told us the New Heaven is going to do. While we do have our little secret, technically traitorous, conspiracy with him, there is still a possibility that he would try to screw us over if it would be advantageous for him in the long run, or if he didn't have a choice. I wouldn't say that it is likely considering what we know currently, and I'm not sure how warning us about an incoming attack could screw us over. But we should still verify, and not trust him blindly in the first place in any matter.

-[X] Agent Activation: Finishes This Year.
-[X] Ramjet Theory: Quite honestly, you can't use this technology. However, you can sell it if you develop it properly. It might even net you a significant sum depending on the buyer. Hashima is certain of her ability to produce results, at least, and it's a significantly less strange than some of Jaegar's technology. Cost: 800; Upkeep: 200; DC: 60; Time: 2 Years; Rewards: Development of a potentially valuable technology.
-[X] Ruin Delvers: Between what Jaegar remembers from his travels and what you've plundered from the depths of the orb, you can pinpoint a number of ancient sites of great importance... in a general way. You'll need to assemble a proper team to really explore these options, though. Cost: 300; Upkeep: 200; DC: 30; Rewards: Archaeologist team assembled.
-[X] Combat Training: Crowley's people are not fighters. They are the lucky winners of a chance lottery which has rewarded them with powers beyond their comprehension. You simply want to teach the how to more... practically apply those powers to real-world situations. Cost: 300; Upkeep: 100; DC: 50; Rewards: Begin applying psionic skills and abilities to combat fields.
-[X] The Crystalline Orb: After mining the complex tide of information contained within the orb itself, you have a very good idea of what it was meant to be: a repository of ancient culture and a form of technology nearly lost to time and an alien invasion. What you don't know, though, is what exactly the physical structure of the orb is meant to have been created from. Cost: 50; Upkeep: 0; DC: 60/100; Rewards: Unlock the origins of the physical materials of the orb, discover where it was hidden through the ages to the modern day.

Hmmm. Going through all the mechanical bonuses we have accumulated, I noticed that we have also this on top of the SL Perk we got from Sayako for covert/infiltration rolls:
Covert Ops Unit: 30 1000+ Skilled Individuals available to be sent on Intrigue missions. Functions as a Experienced Unit (+10) to Intrigue rolls that require their assistance. May only be used on one mission at a time.
Is this also a case of "meant to be for Combat Turn -time rolls, or the like", with it being just one situational bonus among the many, and not affect "strategic level" rolls? Like it was shown in that infiltration excercise roll (quote below)?
Ninja Team: 85+23+40(Psionics, Unit Veterancy, Lelouch's knowledge of Layout, Equipment)=148 // Crit: 57+48=105 // Crit2: 63+5=68

Actually, I believe the Covert Ops Unit bonus (a +10) does apply to Intrigue actions where said units are used...
I Spy Pirates: 78+23+10 (Unit Bonus)=111 // Crit: 58+11=69
And I think that The New Heaven action should benefit from that bonus, as I assume that it is our Cover Ops units that will be trying to find out about New Heaven's attack plans.
